I'm using the TeckNet® USB 3.0 bought from Amazon to drive 8 USB ASICs and a fan. Surprisingly pretty when they all give a green flash nearly simultaneously  Smiley

Mini disco Wink

Have you tried the same experiment with just one of the fans? AFAIK the fact that there are 12 shouldnt be that much of an improvement due to teh first fan being the only fan that intakes air - how about thrying it with them paralell instead of in series Wink

I have 15 of these delta 120s - 252CFM - lovely for shifting air BUT too loud for continuos use (unless its in a server room) i have 12 pulling air in my server cab and 3 to 'play' with Wink

369  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: RetroMiner - Bitcoin Mining on an NES! on: August 07, 2013, 02:17:00 PM
It's pretty much like a spoon and a knife. Both are utensils, but they are not exchangeable for eachothers tasks.

I have used a spoon to cut things and also used a knife to eat soup (to prove a point) - my point is that both methods were inefficient but cool nonetheless.

I would love to see what an XBOX and XBOX 360s could do, maybe even PS3s i've heard of the PS3 being used in High Performance clusters for various things - if i remember correctly the US has banned sending games consoles to certain countries to prevent them having access to cheap high performance computers...

ah clever - i traded a load of coins for fiat a few weeks before the price jump/crash and then the difficulty went crazy so couldnt buy as many miners as i'd hoped plus lost a few coins to various different problems... i sold my first coin for £11 Sad not as bad as the guy who spent 10k coins on a slice of pizza though Wink

total 5.44 BTC for 51 units Smiley

16.9Ghash for 5.4BTC XD

ROI in 24 days?

Yep that's a very nice price indeed, I'm mining with 13GH now and this lot will bring me up to near 30GH/s - so much for waiting for my 30GH/s little single from BFL...

very jealous - although the initial drop of BTC must have hurt - did you mine or buy BTC to pay for that?
373  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: HD 5770 on: August 07, 2013, 11:29:19 AM
how much you willing to pay? i may have 2 5770s for sale
374  Other / Archival / Re: [WTS] Xbox 360 RGH Console on: August 07, 2013, 11:18:10 AM
i've stripped down a few xboxes for parts and may have a replacement case if anyone is interested and i am UK based too.

If the mobo does fail its fairly cheap to repair - my local PC shop charges £30 for a full system reball.
375  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] [UK] Laptops, Servers PCs and other bits [UPDATED] on: August 07, 2013, 11:02:21 AM

377  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How many coins are made from CPU, GPU and Asics on: August 07, 2013, 09:33:36 AM
Coins in a week - as in whole bitcoins?

Its all about hashrate - not CPU/GPU/ASIC not worth comparing hardware type unless you want to compare Hash vs power consumption (FPGA/ASIC will always win VS CPU/GPU for BTC).

My 2000Mhash rig can mine a whole BTC in about 33 days. (5 Block eruptors and a 6770)

And then you need to look at ROI - you'll never make your money back on some stuff now Cry i bought 2 block eruptors @ 4.2 BTC and 3 @ 3.25 - i've just mined 1 BTC in total 5 i have currently! (2 months)

378  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] UK Only - ASICMiner USB Block Erupters on: August 07, 2013, 07:31:09 AM
would you be interested in doing any trades for other hardware?
