create a good looking home page and the design has to match the looking of the core theme.
If you can narrow that down a bit more, that'd be useful in trying to scope the task. Do you mean “echo”, as in “similar” or “match” as in “same”?

The “I’ll know it when I see it” approach can often be a show-stopper for casual design jobs.

Cheers

Graham

I thought similar to this, meaning: matching colors and style, and the home page is intended for this... for now I managed to do a simple job my self (that home page I did), First I was looking for something fancy.... but it is worth waiting a while.
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: wow, bitcoin's astro birth chart is full on! on: September 09, 2014, 01:56:02 PM
Have people actually made these charts for different locations? I mean we should at least consider Tokyo or some other 'probable' capital as the birthplace of Bitcoin Smiley Although it's a bad sign if the speculation forum starts to rely on astrology... (I know the initial post is already 2 years old)

You will find the charts for Dublin, London and Tokyo in the OP.

no one knows for sure where is the real "birth place" of Bitcoin maybe this is why the charts are a bit off.

The UI looks very similar to PD's and another dice-site (will try to find it). Would've been better had you innovated a new UI.

true, but it is simple and this attract users, more features makes the site more complicated and puts users off, but I am thinking about a new look as well, I might try to work it out when traffic get higher.

someone would expect the price to go up after the Paypal news, or was it priced in already ?

I think paypal is already priced in, but not the way people would expect: smart money already shorted in anticipation of this news.

What I understand, when big merchants add Bitcoin as payment, it's not good news for short term.
Because Merchants just take payment in Bitcoin and convert into fiat on same time by using coinbase.
That is why price dropping even people think these news are very big for Bitcoin community.

although, now that Paypal will be implementing Bitcoin , the story could change, because the biggest excuses for merchant are:  a) volatility b) usability, as they cant pay forward with Bitcoin, now the usability problem could be fixed with Paypal, the only remaining issue is the volatility. and that will be fixed with mass adoption.

good luck with your sites, just wondering though, are you not scared using that poorly written dice script? Just be careful and don't have to much money in your hot wallet

flaws has been fixed, otherwise report in case if you are aware of a bug and you will get a bounty.

On a serious note, what have you done to make this script secure?

It's an EXACT copy of the coindice v3/v4 script floating around the internet. I got my hands on that and after my dev checked it out, well, let's say its better to start from scratch Smiley

Well lets just say I've learned that the hard way, I had to take the site down and had a long discussion with the original dev, fixed the flaw and brought it back online....

Checkout fiverr, you can pay in bitcoin too! I've had some good luck with hiring people from fiver gigs.

http://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search_in=everywhere&query=web+designer&x=0&y=0&category=3&sub_category=52&page=1&layout=auto

I've been developing a bitcoin-based game (not a dice game though), I wondered how the dice games start though to build a bank to pay winners when starting up.

yes, but then you need to spend some time explaining to them what is Bitcoin than what is an Altcoin, not to mention having the trouble to show them where to get the right Bitcoin material....it is just a hassle that I am not willing to go over, people here are familiar with these stuff, beside it is really an easy job and  I would rather help devs of our community.

if I don't get anyone the next 48 hours I will have to do it my self.
894  Economy / Services / Hiring a Web developer for an easy and fast task on: September 09, 2014, 12:58:12 AM
Because I personally suck at designing and making beautiful things, and usually most of my effort goes into making things works instead of looking good, I am hiring a web designer to do a simple task, I need you to create a good looking home page that matches the design of the core site, so basically the site will offer the coindice game for Bitcoin and several alts (Litecoin, Darkcoin), this is why I need a home page that direct to the desired sub-site, and the design has to match the looking of the core theme.

I will pay in Bitcoin, Litecoin or darkcoin.
