1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am currently on 1 week losing streak in sports betting.. on: January 19, 2025, 09:33:29 PM

However , if someone is losing 1 week in a row with multiple bets spread across the day and multiple sports , then it's time to take a pause and simply forget about gambling for a while even if most of the ones who are addict simply cannot quit and most likely they will gamble even more which is sad ...because self-control is a must while you gamble.
Giving up should be the option. But some gamblers decided to continue thinking that once they stop, they will no longer get their money back. This kind of thinking is only making us lose more money and worsen the situation rather than succeed.

Although we think that OP is an experienced gambler, he still loses control of himself. And this is going to happen to anyone when you are frustrated. This tells us how important it is to have self-control at all times.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see a repeat of the 2017 bull run in this 2025? on: January 17, 2025, 08:56:13 PM
Considering the way 2024 ended, shocking most Bitcoin enthusiast ! Bitcoin reached it all time high towards the end of last year.
But if you all could remember what happened in 2017 , where Bitcoin was I think probably around $1000 and towards the end of the year Bitcoin hit around $20,000.
That's like almost or more around a 200% increase.

This year can we hope for a repeat of the 2017 bull run again, considering that there are now a lot of factors that is making Bitcoin more acceptable than before?
Well, there's actually higher chances for that. The last significant bull run happened last 2021, so if we will consider the 4 year cycle for bull run, this year is good to go.

However, we cannot assume that what happened in 2017 will be exactly the same within this year. 2025 might even surpass it, especially that Trump is a big motivation for btc price to reach another peak once again.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Bitcoin mean to you and what are your thoughts on its future? on: January 17, 2025, 04:00:19 PM
With bitcoin, I realized that banks and government are two imperfect bodies that are only focused on their own welfare, not actually for the people’s welfare. And that fiat is not the one that we all need now and in the future, because there is bitcoin that has more advantages and potentials compared to fiat currency.

However, we all have different points and views about this. But one thing is certain, bitcoin is not created to replace the position of fiat, but only to act as an option or alternative when people are not comfortable of using fiat.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 PBA Governor's Cup on: January 16, 2025, 10:47:38 PM
snipe...

This is not new in the history of basketball. I'm not sure if it's because of their strategies and playing adjustments or if both teams are not too lucky this time. But still not disappointed with the result, as I've enjoyed watching the whole game full of thrill. Beermen just really showed us that they can still make a win despite the scoring status. Of course, Magnolia gives their best as well but not enough to take the lead.

I really miss the old PBA where the scoring is really low anad 90+ scoring is very rare.
Where defense is the main weapon of every team to win.

the league now is a good to watch as the other teams are having  their team above the standing now.
Unlike before that the SMB corp and TNT is the strongest. I hope the young guns will not be in SMB corp soon.

ROS and Converge is a great team!

~ i am a SMB FAN since double D ~

Way back its more on pride and glory that's why the defense is so tight, nowadays it's more on taking your best shots fancy one or a long range that brings offensive threats to the other, they are more care about their physical health as it's an asset for their long career unlike before where they just want to play to the number 1 league to showcase their talent and skills without hesitatiing without any reserves.

In terms of this season's leading teams you are right, it's no longer dominated by these two giants other teams are now performing and they are taking the challenge to the next level, just not sure how long or if they can survive after this regular season as those super teams are superiors when playing in the playoffs.
Yes, that is what I want to see rather than it being just ruled by a single team and known names for many years, which is quite boring anymore. This change gives us another exciting ending of the season. Although those know teams are still leading, at least we see new names who are expected to show their talent to the next level.
But of course, with a strategic plan of the coach, well performed, it surely makes the team win.

"I am new to this forum. My merit score is currently zero, so can I participate in the Roobet.com 2025 New Year Art Contest?"

Read the rule first. If merits is not required, then everyone is free to participate. However, while it's not required at the moment, but it will be your advantage if you are starting to earn merits for your future competitions. Still, work on it. It takes time but in the end, it will certainly paid off. The merit system will most likely become a trend in the future.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cooked up stories against Bitcoin. on: January 16, 2025, 07:39:59 PM
Peter Schiff is a CEO and a Chief Global Strategies of Euro Pacific Capital, and most of all an antagonist on bitcoin. He never speaks positive things about bitcoin but all are unjustified criticisms which give us a doubt if he’s actually making a prediction or he’s just fond of creating FUD or hype that will only lead and create confusion to the people, most particularly those new enthusiasts of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Survey: Understanding Gamblers and Their Feelings on: January 15, 2025, 10:25:53 PM
- Win money
I picked this one because that is what it appears in my mind and encourages me to gamble, especially when seeing the huge jackpot prize... No reason to deny that because that is really our main objective here in gambling. Nobody dares to gamble without thinking of returns.

- Pass the time
It happens sometimes. We all have different ways of relaxing, and as a gambler, I'd say gambling could help me.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italy's largest bank puchased $1 million worth of bitcoin. on: January 15, 2025, 09:26:20 PM
Yesterday we had news of the Ming Shing group buying over $47 million Bitcoin, purchasing 500 BTC at an average price of $94,375 per coin. Now the Intesa Sanpaolo has bought theirs.

If both the Ming Shing Group and Intesa Sanpaolo are buying Bitcoin, it really gives a signal that a shift in how traditional businesses view Bitcoin. Which is very satisfying.

Although the Intesa Sanpaolo CEO (Carlo Messina) said it is a test. Although i still see 1 million euros worth of Bitcoin as a large investment.

Which other firm/organization is next? I cant wait to hear more news

If these big and popular banks take risk with bitcoin, then there's always possible chances that small banks will follow the same path. Bitcoin is never a threat for banks, in fact it could be their edge towards high progress for their own business. Its just that the government is making a bad image for bitcoin, when in reality bitcoin could be the best key to make a single country establish its financial and economic stability over other countries who are still hesitant to accept bitcoin.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 PBA Governor's Cup on: January 14, 2025, 10:21:51 PM
Who noticed that yesterday's matches were low-scoring matches?
The match of SMB against Magnolia was indeed good match yesterday, that kind of game is exciting to watch always as how both team come back from some huge points lead.

This is not new in the history of basketball. I'm not sure if it's because of their strategies and playing adjustments or if both teams are not too lucky this time. 10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How are you trading more efficiently?. on: January 14, 2025, 04:36:24 PM
Being efficient means achieving maximum productivity with less wasted effort, hence the only way to be efficient in trading is to accept your failures and losses and learn from them. Trading is a learning process, the more you expose yourself into trading and gains valuable experiences, the bigger chances of becoming an inclined and professional trader. There’s no efficient trader that happens in an instant, everything should start from the scratch until you gain mastery and expertise everytime you decide to trade.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Prepare your mind for the challenges ahead of the year on: January 14, 2025, 03:53:35 PM
That’s why we call it New Year’s resolution because you have to plan and prepare yourself for it, mentally, emotionally and physically, and encourage more focus and determination so that you can achieve what you have set in the first place. Despite of new challenges and battles that new year brings, quitting should never be the option but just keep going. After all, life is never a competition. You stumble and fall, but you won’t stop there, but stand and learn from all your challenges. Life is a journey, no problem if you’re slow as long as you’ll get to your final destination.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling practices. on: January 13, 2025, 11:44:35 PM
None of us can say that we can view addiction withdrawals as an easy task, and not only gambling addictions alone but all other kind of addiction is hard to fight because at some point you can become helpless and vunorable, it's quite easier to protect yourself from getting into addiction in the first place than fighting to get out it, and that is the reason we have always advocate that gamblers should avoid getting addicted and also avoid greed which is one of the factors that draw one into addiction faster than any other.
Some people who don't have knowledge about addiction and even have experience can just say it was easy to get out, but those who are in the box struggle to fight because of temptation. That is indeed and as much as possible, we don't let ourselves get hooked up into such a situation.
It is very important we know the consequences of getting into gambling and set limits (time and money). Having done this consistently doesn't just put us at higher chances of getting addicted but also is a way to control our spending.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man addicted to illegal online gambling stole his child’s funds to fuel his next on: January 13, 2025, 10:26:50 PM
The situation tells us something that gambling can make you irresponsible if you lose control yourself. But this doesn't mean it curses all gamblers. Many were still able to surpass the challenge of being irresponsible, and I'm one of them.

That is why we should limit our time gambling because this helps avoid addiction. We just consider those people who are addicted to gambling and make them suffer financial crises, and I don't think that is the life we want to be.

Even though our goal is to make money, it doesn't mean we have to focus on this and make it a job.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Change your association if you want to change your current economic position on: January 13, 2025, 06:11:03 PM
Reality is, sometimes your own association is the biggest reason why you remained in a negative economic position. Instead of pushing you to go up, they are the ones pulling you down so you will stay being a failure and won’t achieve your goal of success.

You’re lucky if you have a good association that supports you all the way, and boost your potentials to achieve your dreams and desires. But for unlucky ones, better to shift into a new association now and find which best suits for you.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't Gamble with the intension of having fun but to make money on: January 12, 2025, 09:53:06 PM

Because there is no way you will buy goods as a business man and not expect profit so gambling should be seen as something that will be beneficial to the gambler financially as it's more like an investment
And we live that way, but we can't guarantee making it happen. That is why we should have stopped that. Keep in mind that it can only cause trouble and pressure in our minds and mess us up. Instead, we just think that we are gambling to have fun.

Whether we like it or not, gambling is not something we can manipulate and win. Unlike in business, as you mentioned, we can strategize it well and surely make money. But here, it was badly impossible as we only relied on luck, not on strategies.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports you do not enjoy on: January 12, 2025, 09:15:47 PM
Perhaps we can bet on the game without watching it. But the question is if we are really satisfied with the results or not. No.

It still makes sense to bet on sports that we like and even watch the game. Because for me, sports betting is not just gambling alone but also giving support to our favorite team. It is more entertaining watching our favorite sports rather than sports that we don't have knowledge about.

Besides, we put our bets thinking that can make us win. And this is only going to happen if we know the team and sports well.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: " man reportedly commit suicide after losing a bet of #2.5m" on: January 11, 2025, 11:41:58 PM
Taking his life was not the best thing for him to do ...we live in a funny world, if you decide to take your life over a situation you are facing you'll be forgotten in Just a matter of days and everybody would simply move on like you never existed...The essence of what I'm trying to say is, we need to learn how to deal with the consequences of our actions, it may not be but it's logical to adapt and find a solution instead of indulging in self harm... always learn to gamble with what you can afford to lose, if you aren't comfortable with a certain amount don't bother gambling with it.
This is why gambling isn't for everyone. While others have the ability to find solutions of their existing problems, even if it means losing a lot of money due to gambling addiction, still there are few who get easily depressed and resort to suicidal thinking there would be other solution to their losses.

Gambling can bring us fun and make us rich instantly, but it can also mess up with our life if we don't know how to manage our losses and disappointments. The key here, just gamble with limits and self-control. Gamble on your betting budget.
It is really in our control, and when we make it a problem, that is why our gambling life become miserable. It is easy to understand how gambling works, but we make a  struggles on how to be consistently responsible. And a common reason is because of our greed. We've been affected too much by such a thing because what it appears to our mind is to gamble more in order to win, neglecting the possibility that it can lead us to a very disappointing situation, which is addiction and huge losses.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 PBA Governor's Cup on: January 10, 2025, 11:13:09 AM
As for my picks, I went with the total. I’ve already placed my bet *** it’s a parlay: under 204.5 + 196.5.

Just one more to go! The first game went way under, as expected Magnolia is always a defensive team. For the second game, the total looks low, but that's usually a good sign since it often ends up going under. Good luck with your parlay, hope it hits.  Grin

As for my bet, I’m thinking of going with NLEX on the moneyline. They’re currently at +3.5, but since they’re on a losing streak, I just want them to finally grab a win this time.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essential Skills For Profitable Trading on: January 10, 2025, 10:58:27 AM
Thank you for these reminders OP. These could be helpful not just for beginners but even to those who are already in the trading scenario. However, based on my trading experiences, the best key factor to achieve success and profitable trading will always point to discipline. These knowledge, skills and strategies may end up nothing if you don’t have what it takes to become a disciplined trader. Do not just trade and aim for your goal, that will only make you prone to some inevitable losses, but trade because you know your potentials as a trader. Trading could be hard and tough, but to those who are disciplined traders, they always find ways on how to motivate them despite of those mistakes and losses that they have incurred while trading.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Name a casino with instant withdrawal on: January 10, 2025, 09:58:07 AM
You can withdraw $10000 daily if not more on Metawin which people that does not like KYC will prefer. Also some people will see it as non-KYC. Metawin is a very good gambling site.
Casinos like that are great, and gamblers really love them. But why do we need to do KYC? Isn’t crypto supposed to keep us anonymous? Based on my recent experience with a new casino, I managed to win from a small deposit, aiming for just $100. To my surprise, my account got blocked, and they asked me to complete KYC. Luckily, it didn’t require a live selfie, just an ID for their level 2 KYC process.
