The casino can be beaten by a gambler but on a long run it's impossible. The game is programmed for those who are actively involved in it to lose, you cannot be a constant player and expect to win the casino, it's possible to get lucky on few occasions. This is why the only way to win is by getting running away for a long time after getting a lucky win because when you get hooked to the game you would never be able to win, there are no to ways about it.
Nah, basically, no one can. If you think you've beaten the casino by just running away for quite some time after a huge win, well, you have to remember that you're not the only person playing at their casino. Some people may get lucky, but most aren't. So, no matter how much you win, the casino will always have bigger profit from those who lost. That has always been the case since the casinos and other betting hosts were created.

Holyweek season gambling break
I think this does not apply in large number of people nowadays, unlike before where people are really faithful to their beliefs. Holy week nowadays are being used to go to vacation to unload the stress from work. Some may have checked in to a luxurious hotel where casinos are present. I don't think casinos will cease operation in observation with holy week either. I not 100% sure but people are becoming less and less religious, especially those who are born in the modern generation.

This happened when I was just a new gambler playing dice. I have high expectation, so obviously I use the money that I can't live without thinking I can double it in snap. But everything turned out the way I never wanted. Imagine losing the money that is meant for important things and you end up with nothing.
I really regret that moment wherein I became foolish to believe gambling is the answer to make my money grow. That's why regret is always in the end, to teach you a lesson, certainly there's no easy money.
I was wondering what makes you really interested in sacrificing that important money of yours to something that's uncertain and most likely to lose. That's something I don't have when I was a beginner. I didn't think that way, I only gamble to have some fun whilte potentially earning. My regrets came in when I have enough knowledge about gambling as I became more greedy and wanted to win more, so I place huge amount of bets as well.

GSW won the expected close game versus Memphis so we found both our 7th seeds today. Both totally deserve it and would be a tough taks for the 2nd seeds Boston and Houston.
Judging on how the Warriors played against the Memphis today, it does look like they're gonna head to a 1st round exit against the Rockets. I mean, they blew up a 20 point lead at home. Almost lost when Ja Morant has been suffering from rolled ankle that has been limping all throughout the 4th quarter. They could've lost that game If Morant wasn't injured late in the 3rd. He has been at the tip of that Grizzlies run to overcome a 20 point deficit. Though they have a tied series in the regular season, but the Rockets had their best run mid-season. Let's see how they play in the playoffs.

Almost all gamblers behave like this when it comes to gambling after winning they expect to get more which is what causes gamblers to lose. Before gambling the gambler's mindset and attitude depend on their experience and in some cases overconfidence. After winning many gamblers feel that they have finally gotten lucky or that their strategy has worked this makes them happy and helps them feel confident. Gambling mindset matters before and after winning a gambler's mindset can change considerably. This changing mindset can sometimes lead them to make wrong decisions or take excessive risks which can later cause them financial and emotional losses. That is why it is very important to maintain proper risk management precautions and peace of mind when gambling.
It's normal for beginners to feel overconfident when are having winning streaks, some might even tell themselves that they would stop after having a single win but When they eventually do greed sets in and they start placing multiple bets to win more.. it's easy to decide on doing something before winning but after winning it takes discipline to get it done.. a gambler that doesn't have a limit will continue making such mistakes repeatedly till he ends up losing a lot of money. I have a different views with beginners feeling over confident after a few winning streaks, which we call it beginner's luck. They might going to go for increased betting spree hoping to maximize the opportunity, but once they experience a tragic lose, they normally would think to quit immediately as if gambling was a huge mistake for them. I met a few people who's actually like this and they never went back to gambling. Some had came back but not regularly, they just casually betting on their favorite teams. Greed is part of the human nature. In gambling the most susceptible people are the ones who have enough experience. Some has the ability to control it, but some choose not.

So, as a sports bettor yourself: Do you believe you already have the skills to succeed? Or do you think you can develop them over time? Or are you just in it for fun, betting to cheer on your favorite teams?
Nah. Sports betting for me is just for fun, and we have our own different definitions of success when we're talking about gambling. IMO, if success defines the amount you win everytine you place a bet, then I guess those who wager the most are most likely going to be successful than those casual bettors or even regular bettors with low betting amount. By my own definition of success, it's every time you picked a good but risky odds and win it. That's actually hard to achieve, but when you have a good winning percentage that only means you're good at analysing matches. Now, if you have that kind of analytical skills, increase your betting limits to become even more successful financially.

Hey people, so today I got and am Mail notifications that I have successfully logged into --- name of casino withheld by me, but this is a gambling site I used a long time ago, like 4 years even before coming to this forum, so I quickly demanded a password reset through email since the notification log came in through email, and low and behold I was told that my email gave been changed, so the hacker or an insider gave control of the account. The question is, what are the implications of losing your casino/gambling site account, I know about money laundering but since there are wager conditions what else could be implications?
Based on your statement, you're most likely passed a KYC to this gambling website. If that is the case, you should take actions immediately and request to hold/freeze the account temporarily while you file a ticket to retrieve your account. I believe you have all the capacity to retrieve it especially when you went KYC verification. You'll never know what the hacker is capable of. The fact that he logged into your account, there should be a reason for that and it's gonna be your identity that will be put on the line.

His playing style translates perfectly to the 2000-2025 era, so yeah, easy to pick MJ over Lebron in my opinion. MJ was pretty much a better Kobe, and we all know what kind of numbers Kobe put up.
For me, we shouldn’t even compare LeBron to MJ as MJ is the undisputed GOAT. A fairer debate would be LeBron vs. Kobe IMO. Kobe has 5 rings in 7 Finals appearances, and more importantly, he was clutch. He never shied away from taking the last shot, while LeBron has often passed in crunch time to avoid blame. That killer instinct? That’s what separates Kobe. I mean that what makes this debate very argumentative though, there are 3 names that we can compare, MJ, Kobe and now Lebron. Each one has it's strength although if we look at the titles, MJ has 6 out of 6, while Kobe has 4, two with Shaq and two with Gasol. And then Lebron with multiple players and teams as well with the MJ and Kobe did it with just one team. Nevertheless, it's the eras that they play and who they played with might be a good stats to look at as well. In any case, I have my GOAT and that's where I started following basketball in the 90's and that is Michael Jordan. Jordan and Kobe has similar type of game. They both are good in ISO and 1on1 basketball. They can score anyway they want and that's what make them great. On the other hand, LeBron is one of a kind. He's most likely not gonna win 1on1 against Jordan or Kobe, because he is a team player. He can literally take any team to the finals. As what we have seen in the previous years LeBron had 8 consecutive finals appearances. During his early years, he single handedly brought the Cavs to the Finals against the prime Spurs, somehing that Jordan and Kobe was not able to do during their early years. IMO, these 3 are the goat of their respective eras.

Sometimes I buy things that I need with my gambling winnings. Because I know that if I win today in gambling, I have to prepare for a loss tomorrow. There is no certainty whether I will win tomorrow or not. Moreover, I had an experience in the past where I put money there after a win and kept it for a another bet. But I lost all. That is why I try to ensure the proper use of that money in case of a big win as much as possible. I buy a lot of things and some times try to invest. Since winning and losing are uncertain, it is not easy to use big wins wisely.
You have a good idea to withdraw your winnings and spend them. I tend to leave some in the casino and withdraw to enjoy the winnings and have fun. Even though I won't be playing right away, I leave a little for a new gaming session when I'm ready to start again. But I have to admit, when there is still a balance in the casino account, we get the urge to play it immediately. I have also spent it a few times in a short time, but at least I have withdrawn something to have fun with. Most people are actually aware that gambling will eventually make you lose everything regardless if you have a good amount of winning at the start, but some people tend to ignore this during a winning streak or even in the middle of frustration for not being able to get a win after a consecutive losses. One of the most effective ways to keep your winning from turning into a loss, is to keep a good percentage out of it. If you still have some feeling you can get more win, use only a portion of that winning amount so you can still walk away with a win even if that portion you pursued to gamble will lose. This has worked for me before and I know it will still work for me today.

It's not everyone that becomes addicted to gambling, only those that lacks self control and also those that have misconception about gambling are the people that easily get addicted to gambling. It's been said that anybody that can not handle their emotions during gambling should avoid gambling because they will lose more money than expected and they can also become addicted which could cause a big harm to their well-being. Gambling is based on luck and people who understand better are doing fine without being addicted.
Not everyone who has lost more than planned becomes addicted to gambling. A big loss can lead to disappointment and a person may decide not to play anymore because of this. Luck is just one of the components of success in gambling, and luck is a fickle thing, today it is there and tomorrow it may not be there, so in addition to luck, you need to be able to act according to the situation, and be able to stop when you see that this day is unlucky for you. That's a definition of responsible gambling and learning self control over gambling urges. Some people cant control their emotions especially during the absence of luck. I saw a lot of people before where they carelessly placing bets out of frustration because they are struggling to find their rhythm or the luck as we say in gambling. I don't know if they are considered addicted, but in my own views, they already are. Though it's not that worse in contrast with other people, but that could progress into a worst situation if these people won't change their gambling behavior.

That buzzer beater of Harrison Barnes against his former team, Golden State Warriors had became a pain to the Dub nation.
His shot made the San Antonio Spurs won. What a revenge shot for trading him. And so, the GSW is going to go through the SoFi play-in tournament.
Exactly! Nobody actually noticed that we had 2 revenge games that just happened on the same day. People are too focused on the Luka - Dallas come back. That game actually created two different stories for the Lakers and GSW's run to secure a playoff spot. The Lakers just clinched a top 6 playoff spot after the W. While the GSW are in danger of no being able to recover a spot in the top 6 and may play in the play-in tournament against the Kings Or Dallas. These both teams has the potential to beat the GSW in the play-in. If the Grizz wins today against the Wolves, then the GSW are in deep trouble for sure.

So I ask:
1. Would this amount realistically cover both your basic needs and gambling expenses where you live? 2. Or would you still gamble with it despite being insufficient, hoping to multiply your money through luck?
$100/month? I don't know which country where people can survive with this amount. I come from 3rd world country, in one of the poorest region here. However, with that monthly income, I don't think it's enough to give you 3 meals a day. That probably going to last in less than 15 days tops, If you're good at budgeting and of course you're single, leaving alone in your own space. So, I don't think someone would willing to put their meal money at risks. Though I saw a few people who still gamble despite of being poor, and I don't where they will find food when they lose.

Western Conference is on heat, damn man, we have 6 teams in a two games gap, just insane, i dont remember something like this from a long time, Denver who was super sure into the playoff now after this 4 loses in a row is in danger of fall into the play - in. Its gonna be super tight in this last 3/4 games we have in front.
That Denver team is really in danger of falling behind to play in the play-in tournament after firing their head coach. There seems to be a chaos within the team now as Jokic looks to be upset with what's happening to their organization right now. Too many drama happening with the Western Conference right now lol. The Lakers were also upset after that unnecessary ejection against the OKC when the game was so close that it has a potential to get into an overtime. It was only then ruined by the refs. Too bad, we were get robbed of a good game. The Western conference are in a playoff kind of intensity right now, securing their spots in the playoffs.

Purpose of the topic: for a simple clarity on what your thoughts are. Key point: cash-out in gambling and stop lose/take profit in trading
Guys, there have been too many comparison between gambling and trading and some people says that gambling is totally different from trading while some people also think that they are both the same. Personally I believe that they have similarities in some things but they are completely different. That was my believe not until I saw a discussion comment that said that gambling is 100% the same as trading and while I argue that they are never the same, I even told them that there is no stop lose in gambling but it's there in trading. I was told that the cash-out feature in casinos is the same thing as stop lose in trading. I have been thinking about and I decided to bring it here. What do you have to say ?
The only similarity I can see between gambling and trading are that both can make people earn or lose money from it and risks associated with it. Outside that similarity is a whole bunch of difference. In gambling your hands are pretty much tied to luck and have no control over the outcome, while trading , you can almost have the outcome as long as you execute a good plan, strategy and effort to make your research. The most notable thing about gambling is that, you get to enjoy while potentially earning. While trading bears a lot of stress on both mentally and physically. So, to put things into perspective, gambling is much easier way of potentially earning than trading. However, if you're not too careful with gambling, you might end up losing everything in your pocket.

We all have daily profit targets when gambling. Say you're playing normally with realistic bets, aiming for $200 that day. You actually hit your goal... but then greed kicks in. Instead of walking away, you keep playing and end up losing everything. Sound familiar? How many times has this happened to you? And more importantly - did you finally learn your lesson?
I think everyone has the fair share of this experience even up to this day, and we are all aware of the lesson that should be learnt with this kind of experience. However, everyone choses to just ignore especially when greed takes over. I mean, it may not be totally greed that takes over, but sometimes we think that it is the opportunity of winning more that prevails and so we continue despite of the fact that we are already winning. It's like striking the iron while still hot or maximizing the winning streak while you're hot. This has always been one of the classic gambling mistakes of all time.

It's really sad to hear news, stories, articles, and posts in the social media about suicide related to gambling. I mean, I'm more sympathetic to the family because that person was surely loved by his family. He put himself into that situation in the first place and then making it worst by committing suicide when he felt everything is falling apart. I guess, it was his conscience and guilt that's pushing him to do it as he might think his family may have just left him hanging with all those financial burden he made for himself. But, I don't think it would've been the case if he decides to reach out to his family first before making another stupid decision. Depressions are hard to spot most of the time, so It's really difficult to say one is suffering from it. It's even more difficult if you'd assume they are. There's no easy way to prevent suicidal people from committing suicide if they don't speak and talk to someone. People would not magically assume one is suffering. Far different from the movies.

If you believe you're skilled at sports betting, enough to pick the single best game daily.. could you actually discipline yourself to bet just once per day for an entire season to prove your profitability?
Personally, I'd struggle. The urge for more action would get to me. Even starting with one game, a loss would leave me feeling unsatisfied, tempted to chase and recover immediately rather than wait for the next day.
If you don't struggle financial, then I don't see any problem from not holding yourself back from wanting to recover loses. However, you need to be responsible enough to know whether you're on a possible addiction or having an excessive gambling habits. We all know watching our favorite sports along are already entertaining. Placing bets to it will add more spice to the entertainment we already have watching. Sometimes the odds are just too good to pass, so we can't hold back to urges even if you're on a winning streak. I think you should always place bets at a minimum so it won't really hurt your much financially in the long run, because the more you add volume to your bets the more you'll get addicted to it and the more you lose as well. So, just stay at the minimum and enjoy the game as is and I can almost guarantee you'll be fine.

3 big important games tonight :
1. Lakers successfully defeated and destroyed the #1 seed in the West with an outstanding over 78% fg made and 15 made 3s in the 1st quarter. I thought they are gonna choked that huge lead again lol.
2. Unfortunate night for the Nuggets as they lost to Pacers by 5 despite of an excellent performance by Jokic. Now, they dropped to #5.
3. Though the Warriors lost against the Rockets, they we're able to claim the #4 spot after the Nuggets defeat. Notable night for the Rockets as they held Curry with just 3 pts.
Things are getting interesting for the Western conference with under 5 games left for most of the teams.

A lot of people here say that we can’t win in gambling, so I just want to ask - are you saying that because you’ve experienced it yourself, or is it just something you read and are repeating as a theory? It’s easy to say, but if you’re someone who doesn’t really gamble and yet insists that no one can win, isn’t that just discouraging those who are actually optimistic about winning?
Most of the people will say that based on the experience. I don't think they're wrong though. Because literally, gambling was designed to take our money eventually. It's not that we don't really win, like we lose every time we place a bet. But, it is in the long run that we're looking into. If someone is really into gambling and very optimistic in winning, then I guess he should change that mindset, otherwise he might end up excessively spending time and money through gambling. We should all remember that gambling is just for entertainment and winning is just a bonus you'll get engaging into it.

Good game so far between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. Golden State’s backcourt is putting on a show so far and carrying the Warriors to a 13 point lead at the half. It’s actually crazy how bad the Lakers hole at the guard position is being exposed. They’d better change something for the second half.
I hope that they'd recover on the 3rd quarter. That buzzer beater from half court by Podiemzski ends the 1st half. 13 points lead by the Golden State Warriors, we're already moving to the next quarter. Half time is almost done, so good luck to all of those bettors on this match, I'm with the Lakers and I hope that this ends well for me. 3rd quarter just started and they cut the lead to 10. The Lakers will need some major adjustments heading towards the remainder of the regulation. They are struggling offensively. Luka is struggling and the x factor guys. They just need to tighten their defense in the 2nd half and trust their shooters. They also need to create open shoots for them. And as we speak, Draymond just got his 4th foul in the 3rd with still almost 9 mins in the clock. The Lakers should take advantage of this.
