621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does monitor size affect trading? on: August 31, 2023, 10:26:42 PM
If we are doing this like being a full-time trader, it is better to use a wide-screen monitor for a greater view.
Because for me, it really matters a lot especially when using a phone as I was afraid that my buy/sell order would be placed wrong as it happened to me several times that cost me a lot. And I know many traders have this experience which I believe that choosing a bigger screen is ideal and using a computer is good enough to perform well. If we can afford to have it why not? We can really find a different experience and for sure we can also see different results as well.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market will pump soon? on: August 31, 2023, 09:54:59 PM
Crypto market was going well, Bitcoin was pumping gradually and altcoins also following the path after bitcoin. But market get dumped recently. But today it shows good signs for something good to be happened. So what do you think? We are going to notice recovery soon? Or many dumps are waiting ahead?
Thinking about recovery, it is always there as long as you have positivity in mind. If we are aware of the previous years and even last year, we can think that there is recovery after the storm. Honestly, we can't just see the market is on the bearish side but we can see it on the bullish side which we can witness it every 4 years. Some people haven't experienced it yet but just like me, I was in that situation 2 times already, I could say that it dumps but rises again. We only have to be patient but certainly, it comes, we don't just lose our hopes.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 31, 2023, 10:42:20 AM
Casimero is getting old. He's about to face the beginning of the end of his career and yet he's still facing no-names. He's been calling out quality fighters but gets the scraps. Whether deserving or not, this must largely be due to the opportunity he negligently lost. And now he's provided with another opponent who can't offer much. Oguni is an old and inactive boxer who doesn't have a professional boxing resume he can boast of. Casimero should win in a powerful way.

Casimero fighting against an unknown fighter who he knows is no match is just somewhat of a fixed fight for him to be tuned up. He needs to move up because by the time Inoue unifies the belt in the SBW, he'd be gone up to 126.

Casimero is getting old and got no belt that will make Inoue interested in fighting for. If he is still interested in fighting the baddest monster, he'd have to be 126lbs with the belt from WBA and IBF for him to get a shot with Inoue.

Inoue didn't mention that he would move up weight classes once he unifies the belt. In fact, his team has stated that he will have more fights before considering a move up. This situation could potentially open up an opportunity for Casimero to face him. While Casimero might be advancing in age, I believe Inoue's camp should consider giving him a chance to fight. This could help put an end to Casimero's continuous taunts towards their champion, referring to him as "Turtle."

The ball then is on Inoue's court whether to give Casimero his chance or not. The best thing that Casimero do is win this fight impressively, it might be good if it will be a knockout of the year candidate so that Inoue and his camp might consider him.

And with that, and it seems this is just a cherry pick fight for Casimero, he should win here. Otherwise, if he loses or just win in the judges scorecard, then it might he hard for him to setup a fight with Naoya as they might not be interested and it's like a low reward for them.

Another remarkable aspect of Casimero is his consistent taunting of Inoue, which has led people to believe in his genuine confidence in defeating an exceptionally skilled fighter. He has effectively generated interest in the fight, and now, we're eager to witness it unfold. While Inoue currently holds the championship title, there's no doubt that Casimero will present a tough challenge. His approach is distinct from the kind of competition Inoue has faced in his previous bouts.

That's why it's of utmost importance for the fight with Tapales to take place this year, as it could pave the way for another significant Inoue fight next year.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 31, 2023, 08:00:48 AM
Anyway, we will see Gilas' next action in the upcoming Asian Games next month. After that, the PBA will now commence it's season.

The fight is not over yet; Gilas still has two games left tonight, one against South Sudan and the next game against China. I'm optimistic that they will emerge victorious in these matchups due to their talent and determination to secure wins on their home court. I'm actually quite surprised why the Philippines is labeled as an underdog against South Sudan, especially considering South Sudan's significant loss against Serbia. Perhaps this assessment is influenced by South Sudan's win against China?

Nevertheless, my bet remains on the Philippines.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 30, 2023, 12:30:30 PM
The Philippines vs Italy match was the only competitive match yesterday, as most of the others were one-sided. I had some hope for Japan, but they went down against Australia by a big margin. And Angola put up a decent performance against Dominican Republic. The biggest mismatch will be played today, between the United States and Jordan. I would love to see the odds for this match, but at the same time I have respect for FIBA for allowing such minor teams to compete in the world cup. They want to expand the sport, and it is a good thing.
Too bad for the host country though to be eliminated early in the competition, well it was still a great game and I'd hope that our Gilas team will improve in the coming years and hoping that we can still have the chance to play in FIBA. The game between Dominican and Angolas was also a good one, its just that Dominican are too much for Angola. Going to the next round, I'm sure many teams will play better and will do their best to qualify for next and have a good chance to take the championship title.

Despite the losses, the Philippine team takes pride in their performance as they've shown improvement compared to their previous appearance in the FIBA World Cup. When analyzing all three results, it's evident that the matches were highly competitive, with losses by single-digit margins against Italy and the Dominican Republic. The game against Angola saw a 10-point loss. This progress is promising, and it's the team's hope that in the next FIBA World Cup, if they qualify, they might secure their first victory.

627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young people should take more advantage of the crypto space. on: August 30, 2023, 10:10:01 AM
Anyone can learn about cryptocurrency regardless how old he's, race, gender, religion, economy class etc.

Young people should be careful if they want to join in crypto space because most of youngers are greedy and looking for instant profit. This is different to mature or old people who're tend to choose low risk investment and they've learn about many type of scams.
That is what I noticed also, they are more impatient which is really not good for crypto investment. I could say that even though they have the advantage the problem is with their behavior and approach to the market which certainly we could think that still only a few will able to succeed. In fact, as you have said, crypto is not just for young people but this is for those who really have the trust and are able to understand the market trend. If we think we fit into this then it is not impossible for us to grow and earn more profit but if not, losing is what we get in the end.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 29, 2023, 05:36:51 AM
Against a team with deadly offensive guards, GSW will be forced to bench CP3. Actually, it is okay to bench him since he is already 38 and will be 40 by the end of his contract. The issue though is that CP3 will be paid $30 million per year which is too high for someone to play 20sh minutes per game, especially during the playoffs if they can qualify.

Anyway, it remains to be seen if this GSW experiment will work. I still value young Poole over CP3 but I understand that GSW needs to let go of him since they prefer Draymond.
Yes, no doubt that Jordan Poole has a good contribution to them when they have a championship run. Nevertheless, last season was very different as Draymond and Poole has a scuffle prior to the season and it set the tone for the Warriors and then they completely collapse after the first round. I thought that the issues has been solved already.

But it seems that it was still very evident as we have seen Poole complaining every time he didn't got the ball and then he was bench by Kerr. As for CP3, maybe a good 10 minutes or even 15 minutes might be good for him as a Warrior as he is no longer at his prime and could also be prone to injury.
I would guess that keeping Draymond is a proof that there is going to be hard time for them going forward. Why is that? Well Poole was the one that got punched, but they still sent him away and did not back him up and just wanted to protect Draymond in that situation.

I can understand the loyalty because he is the guy they won 4 rings with and he is the master at the passing for klay and curry and memorized all the plays and does all the dirty things that others can't do to keep them clean etc etc. But that doesn't mean that other players will not see this and go "well I could be punched there and kicked off" and just not want to go there. I would guess this was a tough decision, they made the wrong one emotionally, but probably the right one by the team.

Nothing's personal here; it wasn't the punching incident that led the Warriors to decide on trading Poole. Instead, it was his performance in the playoffs, which I believe was subpar or uncharacteristic of him. I assume the issue between them was already resolved since they played together during the regular season. However, Poole's inconsistency might have played a role, which no team would want from a player they invested a lot of money in.

Basketnews published a great video about the "new dark horse", team Germany.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-6aJ3PAbh4

They are totally right, at this point our team can beat anybody on a good day. And when/if Franz Wagner comes back we will have 1 more big option on offense, compared to the Australia game.

I hope the coach gives all the the important guy some well deserved rest, I mean limited minutes versus Finland.
We don't need the points and/or the win, it would be the smart decision. Of course it would be nice to win and stay unbeaten ( it's also good for the momentum, but since it's worth nothing it would be smart to not take any risks.

Franz can heal is sprain a little long and Schröder/Theis/Mo shouldn't play more than 20 minutes in my opinion.

They are already performing admirably, having demonstrated their superiority against Australia. Once Franz Wagner returns, their performance is likely to further enhance. In my estimation, this team could develop into a strong contender against Team USA. Schröder's exceptional abilities have been evident, even in the NBA where he has established himself as a clutch player. In this team, he stands as the leader, and with his consistent stellar performances, there's a possibility that they could potentially upset the favorites.

Considering their ranking of 11 before the tournament (as seen on https://www.fiba.basketball/rankingmen), their achievements thus far are genuinely astonishing.
630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: August 26, 2023, 02:55:46 PM
Judging from the current situation, it seems too hard to reach it. We're not even reaching half of $69k, and from $27k, it was too far to reach $69k in just 4 months unless there is a sudden change in the recovery speed. And besides, $69k is just like a bullish price of Bitcoin and sadly, we're not yet in that position, and even next year, that seems pretty hard. Maybe by 2025 as bull season comes but in this year, I couldn't think about it.
My prediction for Bitcoin this year is $35k - that was close to reality.

Why do you think that requiring kyc when withdrawing from a crypto casino is a bad thing?
Fiat casinos will obligé You to verify your identity the very first moment you sign up with them! So, which one is better here?
Besides, verifying your identity upon registration isn't always the end of troubles as you described it. The casino may ask for more, like source of income, some related addresses...
Yes, it is not actually bad if the site is legit and reputed but if we do this for new projects or a questionable site, I'd prefer not to do it. Although KYC is mandatory for major casinos but, it was still our decision to decline and never use their site. But I know why they are doing this, maybe if we could understand their stance about asking KYC, we would also be able to submit it willingly. So if I'm in that situation, I will comply with the KYC and take my winnings.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - when to sell? on: August 26, 2023, 01:22:50 PM
Honestly, I'm not a fan of buying and holding XRP even before and that is because I'd never seen it as a profitable investment.
But this is the opinion on the current situation, selling is not really the best option to take but instead, accumulation. As an investor, I consider the dump or price correction as an opportunity to buy more, not to sell. If I were into the trust of the said project XRP, I also buying more and fill my bag making it ready for the surge as it was certainly be going to happen next.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 26, 2023, 12:49:34 PM
Investing in cryptocurrencies is risky but it is even more risky when one invests in an altcoin. If your friend jumps into an altcoin without having a good knowledge of crypto-currencies, he might have a big loss, but since he jumped into Bitcoin, it's risky for him and won't hurt him too much. So now you should explain to him that if he wants to get something good from bitcoin he has to keep it for a long time, if he sees some losses here he can't panic and sell them, he has to hold them strongly and if he can hold for a long time he can get a good profit from here. And since he is very interested in Bitcoin, he can invest in Bitcoin by following DCA . And of course he needs to use a secure wallet to hold his bitcoins.

Not all altcoins are equally bad, there are some that are much more volatile than bitcoin, and the project is doing very well, entering into new partnerships and constantly developing, and I believe that such altcoins can give significantly better returns than bitcoin. But at the same time, I will invest less in altcoins than I invest in bitcoin, because altcoins will always contain more risks than bitcoin. Safe storage is also very important and the first thing to do.
It is important that we know what we are doing and must know what coins we are about to invest with. Although investing in altcoins is too risky but somehow, being an investor doesn't just consider buying a single coin as it is best to have another one or more. I have Bitcoin which I spend 60% of my total capital while 40% on altcoins, I believe this is a great idea (IMO). I have BTC, ETH, and BNB - I think it is all enough for me.

I appreciate how they look at the welfare of their client as they are not just thinking about money to get from gamblers but also, somewhat look at the thing that they could help to prevent addiction. It was seldom to hear such a scenario but that was absolutely the right thing to do. However, in a case like this I know for sure that many casino owners never see it righteous act, greedy owners will take on every opportunity and love to see gamblers become addicted. But that casino that you have mentioned OP was too different and he is fair.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: August 26, 2023, 11:16:31 AM
Someone saving 45% of their income each month will end up in a fantastic position very early on their life, think about it they are almost saving half of their salary, which means that each year they work they generate one year of savings.

If that person were to save a few years out of their income and then they invested that money in bitcoin, suddenly they will not have years of savings but decades of savings which will allow them to retire at a very early age.
And if they can save that amount without having to gamble at all, they will see how much money they have at the end of the year and it will surprise them that they can make a lot of money by saving it and not using it for gambling. But people who are used to gambling will definitely budget their money to be deposited into their gambling account so that they can freely use it to gamble.

Saving their money in bitcoin will be better for them because it can make them big profits from investing in it. If they also reduce their allocation of money for gambling and move it into investment savings in bitcoin, they will have more bitcoin they can sell when the price of bitcoin rises.
It is different for me as I allocate a certain amount for savings, investments, and expected expenses, and the remaining money will be for some stuff and leisure. Maybe I was really strict when it came to budgeting but I was thankful because this is the reason why I'd never fall into addiction and spend less on gambling. If only $100 is left (free money) then that is only the money I have to gamble to.

And I'd find out how important it was because, for some reason, we are able to keep on our plan and are able to reach our goal.
636  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am confused !!!! on: August 26, 2023, 10:30:58 AM
Your first question is about altcoin or Bitcoin. So I will always suggest you the Bitcoin, that is the good option. And you are talking about profit so if your hold Bitcoins are in profit so rest of all coins will be in profit. Because Bitcoin has an excellent dominance on the whole market.

You read it wrong mate as OP had already invested in Bitcoin but he was asking if he could make a good profit from altcoins. He is now on the search for profitable altcoins, of course, there are a lot of them. We can still make a fortune in investing altcoins but must be sure that we choose the right coins, and investing in ETH and BNB is quite a good choice.

Well, we can say that focusing on Bitcoin is safe but altcoins can give us another chance to earn. Putting some amount in them is not a bad decision either.
637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $25,000 give way this time? on: August 25, 2023, 09:58:03 PM
This sudden dip is due to the bad news that market has faced. Tesla selling huge amount of Bitcoins was the catalyst that made the market crash. Bitcoins have suddenly fell from 30k usd to 25k usd. This isn’t bad at all to be honest. It just gave us the opportunity to buy the coin for low price. I would suggest everyone not to panic and accumulate as many coins as you can. The price will soon go up again during 2024.
I don't think we should put the blame on Tesla. It wasn't Tesla by the way but it was SpaceX being blamed for selling its stack of Bitcoins. Later it was revealed that it isn't actually the reason behind the dip and there are multiple reasons for that. However, it doesn't really make a difference no matter what the issue was behind the dip, now When we are facing it, we need to think about how we need to react to the market condition instead of thinking of the reason behind it.

So, a lot of people will take this as negative because they might have already invested when the price was stagnant at around $30k for about six months, while a lot of people will also find this to be an opportunity to make their investments because they've been waiting for an opportunity like this.
I could agree with that because it was not the Tesla issue that brought the market sentiment like this but many factors including economic downturn in some countries and FUDs. The negative news circulating on the internet and in social media really has a negative impact on the mindset of the crypto investors, they'll think negatively as well and even be bothered about what they'll be doing next. However, the price never fall close to $25k this time, it was an indication that despite that panic had start, many investors are still strong and keep holding their cryptos.
638  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 25, 2023, 12:51:05 PM
Having a lot of plans is actually a good thing as it prepares us for different outcomes. There are a lot of aspects to be considered in actions, hence different outcomes, negative or positive, should be well thought out. Therefore it is always a good idea to have various plans for just in case situations.
Preparing a plan for something is the first part that must be considered very important for everyone who wants to achieve good results from a job, because considering a plan is very basic for carrying out every step of work that has been neatly arranged before starting. So there must always be an evaluation, both before starting and when you have got the results as you said, where mature thought is always needed when there are results that are born differently through the efforts that have been carried out.
It was not just a plan but it needed doing. It is useless having it if we fail to do it in real life and I see a lot of people have this kind of attitude and they easily quit when they feel hard and face difficulties. And this will tell us that our life isn't really easy and in order ot survive and reach our goal, we must also work it hard and focus on goal. And if we wanted to succeed, we must carry positivity on our mind, not got distrubed by a single mistake and failures otherwise, we don't deserved success anyway.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: August 25, 2023, 12:16:24 PM
Can be possible yes but less possible. Why? I was talking about those very poor people who can't really afford to buy gadgets and those people who can't really make investment as their priority, we can't expect them.

Because what I see Bitcoin is just for those who are capable enough to spend their money and risk it. In fact, even rich people had ignore Bitcoin knowing that they can afford to have it but because of its risk and its volatility, many people will remain doubtful and are unwilling to invest.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 25, 2023, 11:41:14 AM
To be safe, betting on the handicap might be the right choice here. +10.5 seems reasonable, considering it's their first game and they have the energy and the crowd's support. The opponents are quite strong, so maybe we can compensate with our 3-point shooting, as it's difficult to penetrate the interior, especially with Town there. I guess no big man has a favorable matchup against Town; he's capable of dominating everyone.

It's +12.5 @1.78 for me and like you have said, the crowd would be a factor in this game. For me, we have a big chance of winning if Towns gives up the ball to his teammates and let them shoot in the corner as that would be the spot where his teammates are going to be open and hope our guards will be quick enough to recover to bother the shot, easily said than done but hope they can execute.

I think Kai could somehow bother Towns though not all the time but life in the middle would not be so easy for him if Kai and Edu were there defending him.

It's now time for Kai to silence his critics, as he finds himself on a grand stage where everyone is watching. This presents his chance to demonstrate to the world that he deserves a spot in the NBA. Kai Sotto hasn't performed well in the last three tune-up games. If he manages to score at least 20 points here, I believe that would be a significant accomplishment for him. Particularly noteworthy would be if he plays an effective role in limiting KAT.
Well, Kai needs to step up his game and give it his all, as his success in this context could significantly contribute to his pursuit of an NBA career.

On another note, I came across an update about this game on Facebook. Speaking of the crowd and fans, it has been reported that 43,000 tickets have already been sold out. Imagine the enormity of the crowd at that game. The Dominican Republic is essentially playing against a home team, and although they might be the stronger team, the continuous support from the home crowd could potentially alter the dynamics of the game.
