1  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Future of online poker - PokerFi on: Today at 08:21:12 AM
PokerFi? Sounds good, but I don't think this project will be successful since poker isn't really popular in the crypto gambling world and time has proven that again and again. There are fewer players and more bots in crypto poker tables which says it all.

FIAT poker sites are still the best way to play poker online in my opinion.

PokerFi has not only poker, but also a casino with various games and slots. So the players have a lot of choice.

Maybe> But what they are marketing is the game poker as the name of the project states.

I looked at their website and I can see this words... "The future of online poker has arrived : PokerFi".
So that means big time because they are claiming it would disrupt the current norms of poker.

Question is, how come until now its token are still of a very low value?

I am not member of the team of  PokerFi. I am just topic starter.

Then you have to state on the announcement that you are not part of the team, this is a gambling announcement and without giving them your participation on the platform people will think that you are part of the team, and any issue that may arise coming from users who participate coming from this this announcement then you are partly responsible and may we know are you hired in their behalf to announce their project here.

Looks like the project is a failed one based on how long they have been running the platform and not getting enough support, there's a risk in participating in this project so join or invest at your own risk.

Creating a thread here with an announcement of a certain casino won't gain readers once not maintain, it will only work unless the casino is already an established one. However, judging on the casino tokens standing in CMC, it's very clear that this project hasn't been develop or safe to say have failed their target. I haven't read the road map of the project, but judging on the number of years from the time it was created til now, it's very evident that it's not gaining the interest of the community.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: April 02, 2024, 10:59:36 PM
One of the biggest mistakes in trading is to open a trade without understanding and thinking of selling at a high price which is a decision without considering the range. Both the newbies and the old ones make a lot of mistakes in this field to increase the profit share and finally come out of trading with loss. If someone follows your advice, they will hopefully be able to play a more effective role in decision making.

         -     That is something that a novice in trading should not do. But no matter how many times someone says such reminders, there are still many stubborn people who enter trading.
That is their main reason for entering trading.

Because if you want to make money quickly in trading, that means you will also quickly hate this field of crypto space for sure, and you can even curse it because you have high expectations about the industry of crypto space.
Trading will never be good enough for beginners. They have less knowledge and even no experience trading in the market which will put them at a more miserable trading situation. But seeing a lot of lives have been changed with trading, that motivates even these newbies to start trading even when it’s not clear for them when to actually trade their coins, as they’ll have no clearer goals set prior to real trading. In the end, they all lose from their trades, and leave wrong impression with trading.

10  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: March 31, 2024, 09:36:59 PM

Yeah! Casinos without KYCs for government to have part in the running  are always main target for sanction as they would tag all their activities  to be an illegal  one NMW and there's  no way they can just themselves
Governments are just concerned with the both the gamblers  and the casinos itself .
The majority of the casinos without licences only run for a few months or years but doesn't have the capacity to run the operation for a long time since at anytime the government get through to them it will definitely become the end of their operations.

So for contemporary casinos that have long term in views it will be very necessary to get the license needed to operate as legal company and at that will implement KYC to comply with government demands.

Of course, the government will see it once the business gets bigger and they'll require them to get a license or ban them.

However, what can you say about the growing popularity of Web3 Dapp games or gambling? I saw a lot of platforms being promoted in the forum already and they are getting a lot of bets, can they disrupt the gambling world? How would the government regulate it then if it's decentralized?

I see some decentralized casino before to be not worth playing but it has become competitive now with this web3 Dapp, so it's easier for the gambler to trust it since they are using a non custodial wallet, we link our wallets and we can withdraw anytime.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: March 31, 2024, 08:53:13 PM

That's not being greedy, you gamble and aim for a bigger win, that's our main goal. You can only call yourself greedy if you get tempted to do things that are our of your plan, like when you are betting in sports, you don't think of cashing out once you see you are already winning.

Thing is, casino wouldn't offer a cash out if they know you aren't winning, so what's the use of cashing out? I mean, we are here to take risk, just be a more risk taker, go home or go big so no regrets in the end.
It's all about the winning, because as a gambler, you will never consider a cash out when you are in winning, this is because at that point you already come way too far assured with your bet and it outcomes and also having that assurance that you will win the game since you are already in winning is what make it difficult for you to Cash out at that point in time.
Most times, we can't tell to which extent the cash out features can help us to make good decisions or make tangible incomes in profits while we use them and what are the winning potentials of the game, but above all having in mind how risky and unpredictable football match could be, so we need to properly analys the feature and possible outcome before taking risks of looking away from your available cash out.
If we mean business, we don't have to complicate things, make it simple and just focus on winning. Thing is, when you consider "cash out", you'll now think of this being part of your strategy, which means you'll include this on your analysis, and like I mentioned, that word regret will always be present as you might regret that you should not cash out, or cash out late or early... that kind of feeling is so frustrating and might affect your decision making, you know, decision making is very crucial in sports betting as we all like to win in the long run, this isn't just a game, some of us aim to be profitable and try to beat the system that most of us struggle to beat.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 31, 2024, 01:41:49 PM
It will be a big game today and yes I’m also expecting a big crowd especially it is still holiday.
What’s your prediction with this one?
I expect for SMB to get a win here and on the second game, I think Magnolia has a better chance of winning here. What’s the current odds for these match?

After 12 days of day-off, PBA is back and for sure the crowd attendance will be massive since Ginebra will be playing in the second game against Magnolia. The latter is the slight favorite to win for tonight's match and i do agree with the odds maker here. The first game between the Beermen and Fuelmasters is a bit risky since the spread is high at 9.5.

Ginebra ML @2.32 vs Magnolia
SMB -9.5 @1.87 vs Phoenix

Congrats mate, great come back with two wins. Me, I lose on Ginebra because I got greedy, I'm following a special that I saw from other posters here, the 11+ points, I got x9 during live bet but it was short by 1 point.

Damn, that shot of Stand was a relief because despite there are only few seconds left, he still made a shot, it's understandable since point quotient is at play here, but it was kinda disrespectful coming from a winning team.. I thought it will end there but Magnolia by Jalalon also made the last shot which only made Ginebra to win by 10, just disappointed.  Grin
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: March 31, 2024, 01:03:41 PM
that cashout thing is just new but sometimes it makes us get greedy and miss the opportunity to enjoy a bigger winning. If I would choose, I'd rather not have that cashout option in my account if there's a way to block it because it causes some interruption on my focus.
I believe it's the opposite. A greedy person will always chase bigger wins. Someone who is not greedy will play it safe and accept whatever the sportsbook will offer to him and cash out while he still have the chance to do so. A greedy person is the one who takes the risk not the opposite.
OP, the amount the sportsbook offered you is reasonable given that the odds of the last game has increased from ~2x to ~3x which means your chances of winning decreased.

Sometimes, in my country they borrow a small money like 10$ from their girlfriend. Then, If the balance is up like 100$ he sharing with his girl. IMO as long you are not addicted are fine sharing with them, the problem with gambling is while you are getting addicted.

This is weird, easier said than done to be honest. I would give 20% chance of getting this thing, that means you have to be lucky to win this amount. That's like x10 of your initial bankroll, damn, I would never do that like borrow money to gamble and promise someone to pay when I win as most of the time the result is (-) negative. Addiction is another thing though, but this one is pure naitivity.

Though this is a software, not a casino, it would be nice if you could add some demo too. I find it very attractive especially that games have a vibe during my younger days. Anyway, good luck @seoincorporation, nice to see our very own in the forum running a gaming software business.

Not cheap but I believe casino is a lucrative business, you have good games and good marketing, that would result to a fast ROI.
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: March 30, 2024, 09:50:25 PM
There are situations in which we will have to make use of the practical experience of what we see with any gambling platform to judge on their performance on user interface, each platform has the way the have developed their own along with the site, while some don't even make any necessary efforts in doing anything than copying from what others have developed already for their own use.

They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so not everyone have the same experience or appreciation on the site they are using. However, what majority like is probably the best, and UI of a casino is very important as it is the mirror of its product, like first impressiion last thing, when you like its interface and you enjoy playing with the casino, you'll likely comeback and be loyal.

So owners have to ensure their UI are attractive as that's their marketing tool, if they have the right budget, they should dress their physical appearance to be attractive since it's their brand after all. Just think this way, you are selling something, how can you sell if it's not attractive or pleasing to the eyes of potential gamblers?
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: March 30, 2024, 08:55:11 PM
It is very headshaking if a person trusts an unregulated casino more than a regulated one where the owners will certainly be legally accountable if they scam their users. On an unregulated exchange, they can collect all your money and be gone very much similar to those scam ICOs during 2016 and 2017.
How gullible are you people? Licensed and regulated casinos can scam people too and sites like 1xbit can attest to that. Any site can perform a rugpull at any moment which is why licenses and regulations don't just magically make a site 100% reliable.

There's no guarantee that even if a casino is regulated it will not scam us. But at least, with a licensed casino, you know who you are dealing with, and you can go after these people since they have their names attached to the company when they registered it compared to unregulated casinos where they can do an exit scam anytime without us knowing the true people behind the casinos.

Quote
They are more reliable than unregulated sites for sure, but trusting them completely and blindly submitting KYC is stupidity at its finest.
Of course you will not easily trust, license does not make us 100% believe them. For me, I will make sure they have a good reputation + license, then I can pass the KYC if necessary.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 30, 2024, 02:02:22 PM
Contests can come and go but swap, bet, withdraw cryptocurrency with cheap fees are more important experience for users and these activities are used more regularly than joining contests and chase awards.

The added feature like swap is one of the good way to attract players.  Remember, convenience is one factor that makes a player stay.  Having swap in a gambling platform relieves players of the headache of moving funds to another platform just to exchange it for their desired cryptocurrency.  I am grateful to Metawin for implementing or integrating a swap service into their site since this saves me money and time.

That's right, and the good news is that you only need to pay a very small amount when you swap, you won't even feel it, so that's another great feature that is not yet present in other top casinos. I like how MetaWin being so competitive adding features that is much needed with a very affordable fee.

Imagine that sometimes we deal with network congestion and expensive fees for bitcoin also wit Ethereum then this swap feature is really helpful for current players to not feel anything hassle for exchanging their coins to another crypto so that they can escape on those issues.

This is what gamblers want so I will agree on both of you that many people would really like this new feature added since it can make people feel easy to gamble on those coin they like to spend. We don't usually see this feature added on other casino and for adding this for sure this became their unique selling point to people who's seeking reliable and convenient casino to play on.

I see one service that swap coin but it was a 3rd partly.

This --- [poorbot.io] | Exchanger for Stake - fast, cheap, simple
Quote
*Poorbot is not affiliated with Stake, it's an unofficial bot to help players to swap their coins to more convenient ones. All trademarks if any are property of their respective owners.

How would this impact the business of this guy? I know his business caters stake gamblers only, but if other casinos will follow the model of Metawin, then most likely it's a business killer for the 3rd party business.
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: March 30, 2024, 01:22:12 PM
You can't dictate how much they'll put as a cashout as it's not the main outcome of the game.

You bet to win or loss,, that cashout thing is just new but sometimes it makes us get greedy and miss the opportunity to enjoy a bigger winning. If I would choose, I'd rather not have that cashout option in my account if there's a way to block it because it causes some interruption on my focus.

So what happen to your bet, did you successfully cash out or just waited for all the events to be graded?? you win or lose?
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you expecting Bitcoin to hit $400,000 after the bull run. on: March 29, 2024, 11:48:00 PM
I don't think that 400k is possible in this circle. We might see 400k in the next circle. The reason why I said so his that we were all expecting 100k as the new ATH for this circle, but after the approval of bitcoin ETF, it helped to skyrocket the price of bitcoin, which have made a lot of people no longer see 100k as a big figure anymore.

I believe that bitcoin can hit 200k by next year when the price of bitcoin is at his peak, but not 400k. Do you expect bitcoin price to move 5X of the current price, assuming we were in a bear market with 70k price, then I would say that 400k is possible, but we are few weeks to the halving event. Bitcoin is not altcoin, only altcoin can pump this way.
As much as everyone hopes to see bitcoin price surging to $400k, but I would say now is not the time yet. Our target for now is to see bitcoin price reaching $100k-$150k which I think is highly possible if bitcoin continue to skyrocket after halving. But we all know how volatile Bitcoin is, one day its surging high, the next day its price declining. So the best solution is just to patiently hold our bitcoin until we end up selling when our target selling price is achieved.
