3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LevelNet, a Disrupting Cyber Security Platform on: March 29, 2018, 11:49:39 AM
As technology continues to evolve at an astonishing pace, changing the way we connect with each other and exchange information, so do the threats that have come with it. From hackers to deceptive ads to advanced malware, surfing the web can be a dangerous venture, and doing so unprotected may cost you your work or personal files and even your hard-earned savings.

As cybercriminals continue to perfect their craft and come up with new attack vectors, cybersecurity professionals, along with their software solutions, must evolve at an even faster pace and explore new and creative solutions. While legacy antivirus software has played a big role in keeping us safe from hackers and malware in the past, a time has come when new strategies must be applied.

This is where LevelNet, a next-gen cybersecurity platform, comes in!

To put it simply, LevelNet is the world’s first decentralized cyber security solution. It acts alongside traditional anti-virus software, functioning as a network of collective information security in which each user is constantly updated and protected against new threats. LevelNet leverages the information collected by each and every users in the network and the measures applied by their respective antiviruses in order to keep every member device safe.

While some anti-virus may be more advanced than others or apply better measures to certain attacks than others, with LevelNet each user can have access to the most advanced security measures for each particular threat without the need to search and pay for one or several advanced anti-virus software solutions, resulting in a much more secure experience for all those involved.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] MOYA Networks - Bringing Data to Africa at the Speed of Light on: October 04, 2017, 07:09:46 AM
*I am posting this thread on behalf of for Moya Networks*

The low Data penetration rate in Southern Africa compared to levels elsewhere clearly indicates the pent-up demand for broadband connectivity. Moya Networks, a project created by seasoned Pan-African ICT professionals, experienced in developing and managing ICT companies, plans to bring transparency to the Southern African wholesale markets in an effort to ramp up internet connection inclusion in the area.
In the Southern African wholesale market, Cables such as SAT-3 and WACs until recently have held unchallenged market positions, which has resulted in data prices that are between 10 to 20 times more expensive than those in markets outside of Africa. Market research carried out on behalf of Moya currently estimates the cost of a single STM-1 for international connectivity to Africa to be US$115,000 per month. The current market price for satellite access to Africa is between US$4,000 and US$8,000 per Mbps per month.
In order to fix the current lack of efficiency found in this market, Moya will leverage its team’s experience and contracts to provide submarine capacity and terrestrial capacity obtained from multiple partners to offer a range of lower-priced world class Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (“SDH”) and Internet Protocol (“IP”) network transport services that are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of African Internet Service Providers (ISP’s),international carriers, content providers, large multi-national businesses and governments.
To do so, Moya Networks will issue its own cryptocurrency token which will act both as a fundraising method and an opportunity for early supporters to be directly involved in the project.

Moya Tokens (MTK) are ERC20 tokens based on the Ethereum blockchain. They will serve both as a fundraising mechanism that will allow Moya Networks to fund the purchase of ACE submarine cable capacity, terrestrial fibre capacity and fund the operations of Moya.
The Moya token will also grant the holder the right to receive 20% of Moya's profit on an annual basis. Any number of tokens (100%) sold at the end of ICO have a right to receive 20%of the company's profits on an annual basis.

Moya seeks to raise 6,000 BTC ,to purchase capacity rights in the Africa Coast to Europe Submarine Cable System (ACE). Moya will sell MTK tokens (MTK) over a 4-week period to the Cryptocurrency community. The MTK Token will be issued on the Ethereum platform. Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrency will be accepted for purchasing MTK. Investors purchasing Tokens during the token sale will be eligible for bonuses.

ICO Timeline:

- Pre ICO 1 Nov to *15th* Nov  (*30%* Discount)
- ICO Launch 15th Nov to 15th Dec

  • Fund Raise Cap: Max. 2,000
  • Accepted Purchase Methods: BTC & ETH
  • Native Blockchain: Ethereum (ERC20)
  • During the sale, MTK tokens will be offered at:

Distribution of Funds: The funds will primarily be used to purchase capacity rights in the Africa Coast to Europe Submarine Cable System (ACE) based on ACE-Moya existing contracts at the close of the ICO; to purchase backup capacity on the West Africa Cable System (WACS); and to purchase telecommunications equipment from qualified vendors; to install the equipment in the Moya backhaul network; and for the operations of the Company. Funds will also be used to pay personnel in the startup phase of the business.

Escrow Agents: TBD

Two Signatories will be assigned to the receive wallet (One from Moya and one Independent Escrow Agent). The release of funds requires two Signatures.
Funding Release Milestones:

  • 80% of the tokens sold will be directly released to crowdsale participants at the end of the crowdsale.
  • 20% of the tokens sold will be directly released for the purchase of additional submarine cable capacity, terrestrial backhaul capacity, marketing expenses, partnerships, team and employee expansion. Yearly access to investor company financials on request.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CryptoCompare guide: An Introduction to ClearPoll on: September 29, 2017, 02:56:04 PM
An introduction to ClearPoll:

The Problem

In recent times, the media, private organizations, and even governments have manipulated or censored true public opinion, to suit their agenda. The main problem is the centralization of public opinion poll data. Controlling the polls allows them to use it to their advantage, and does not give an accurate picture of what people really want.

The Solution - ClearPoll

ClearPoll is a social public opinion poll network, using blockchain technology to secure votes and poll results. The decentralized polls are not censored and cannot be manipulated. Users can easily download the app, search for topics that are important to them, and easily vote. They can then view detailed poll results and easily share the results. ClearPoll aims to be the place to go, to have your say. A hub of accurate, current public opinion across a wide range of topics including politics, human rights, entertainment, sports and more.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Classic Takes Stance Against 'Manipulative Crowdsale Tactics' on: April 27, 2017, 12:37:19 PM
"The Ethereum Classic development team has shared its opinion on what Nick Tomaino’s called, the “Irrational Appcoin Exuberance.” This exuberance is currently seen in Ethereum and may soon come to Ethereum Classic as more capital flows into the network.

Citing concerns regarding the way Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) are structured in Ethereum and even within the Ethereum Classic network, the post seeks to caution investors against potentially risky investments in poorly planned or outright scam ICOs that can result in monumental losses for naive investors.

The post also showcases some examples where the Ethereum Classic community and dev team has performed its due diligence and warned against ill-conceived crowdfunding campaign on the ETC network, noting the different attitudes that the two competing blockchains, ETC and ETH, employ towards the Initial Coin Offering frenzy. The post reads:

'As one might expect, ETCDEV will not vouch for coin offerings in the same capacity as the Ethereum Foundation members who signed on as curators for the launch of The DAO crowdsale.'"

12  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Litecoin Chega aos $10 on: April 05, 2017, 08:40:37 PM

13  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Neos: A Tua Própria Web on: April 02, 2017, 09:51:37 AM

16  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Bitcoin: O que é a SegWit? on: March 25, 2017, 04:11:42 PM

18  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Software Permite Calcular Impostos Relativos a Criptomoedas on: March 23, 2017, 10:02:43 AM

20  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Hard Fork: Bitfinex Emite Chain Split Tokens on: March 21, 2017, 05:20:44 PM
