Campaign manager can seeing participant ip addresses in google spreadsheet?
If that's the case, that would be cool. It is beneficial for the forum. Those legit accounts would only be paid on Sig campaigns. Nowadays, this forum has been plagued by users who only want to gain money. The essence of this forum is to ahve fun, gain knowlegdge on Bitcoin.

But i think their are people who have been caught having alt accounts. Either on lousy activies or accidental links to few of the alt accounts and even great efforts of managers to see if there are fishy lines between participants. And i agree with you that the forum is for fun or gaining knowledge but, people have different mindsets. It is not always that members will be righteous always. Their are really some who would want to take advantage to a peaceful aura.
142  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: good source of Bitcoin books on: October 12, 2017, 06:03:00 AM
OP, sometimes the books written about Bitcoin look more like promotional materials than a technical book on teaching us how it works. They also tend to be over simplified by using too much "Alice and Bob" examples.

I believe the developer documentation at https://bitcoin.org/en is written well and simple enough for newbies. So go read that and save your money.

I too think that alex and bob is too much cliche as a comparison on how cryptocurrency works. I am more of an interactive learner and i suppose those books would at least make sense in ways but i've learned bitcoin by watching videos and it was better for me to understand along with some reading materials. There are some technical words that is not easy to understand that it needs more defining and it is better to watch alice and bob demo that just reading it.
143  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Removal - Help me please on: October 11, 2017, 07:41:40 AM
Well there are new rules this time but try posting the link to your old profile here so members could try to help precisely on why you are banned or if moderators could accidentally see it, it would be easier to asses you.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 10, 2017, 03:28:03 AM
I know it's important to check BTC price everyday, but for negligence, I'm not doing this everyday. Sometimes I think BTC price is too stable, without considerable changes for several days, so I don't give it much importance, but it's not right as the changes in price happen anytime and when they happen, they can happen really fast in few hours and there is no way to know the day, the exactly hour. Because of it I lost the exactly moment BTC pumped to $4800.

At this moment, i think btc is not stable, yesterday i checked it was at least 4600. Currently this may be dump this had been the greatest recovery since it went to 2900. For me, the price moves in just hours. So every time i am online i always check the price. For traders maybe it is important because even a 100 dollar increase is high depends also on how high are u planning to trade.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine whether it's scam or not? on: October 10, 2017, 02:25:21 AM

I think before invest you will have to try to talk with the team members, ask questions about the project, looking for a community supporting this project etc...just be carefull

To talk with the team member will be useless, just try to get the fact from their github code, or try to find another pro coder to collect the fate from the project's code. If that was just copying other project and that was a bullshit project as far as i know that.

It is always not the case because we have some cops here that they try to question and legitimize some of these ICO's. Even some small mistake in the details is not easy debate even though the ICO has perfect plan. And sometimes even veteran traders could get scammed because as bitcoin is innovating, scammers are also improving. I'm not saying all ICO's are scams but since it is a long term project, it is hard to tell if they will be successful upon releasing their coin to the market.
146  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legality of BTC gambling sites in regulated countries. on: October 10, 2017, 01:23:45 AM
Nowadays there are a few countries where online gambling is regulated and people from that country can only play on regulated sites. For example, in Spain you can only play in .es sites, like pokestars.es, bwin.es and so on. If you are from France you can only play in .fr sites, like pokerstars.es. In Italy, you can only play in .it sites, and so on.

That is when we talk about FIAT but I have been trying to find info about the legality of playing in bitcoin sites if you are from one of those countries but I can’t find any clear information.

There seems to be a loophole.

Any of you know anything about it?

Different countries with their different rules over here, gambling sites are regulated and granted license to operate and that is why they adverstise openly with so much effrontery and I think for online bitcoin platform, we hide under the shadow of that and since we have to be online to play that too, that does not stop us from using bitcoin enabled sites. Also, there are other bitcoin sites that uses .com domain names while our local betting site also uses the same thing. This gave the opportunity that is not found in other advanced countries that try every means to regulate.

I think it is the same with us but bitcoin is not strictly prohibited nor supported fully by our government. Our president once stated that he will remove online gambling sites because most are deemed scams or phishing company. I would agree with him but this issue is not being faced fully because of some legislative issue trying to take down each other. Most gambling sites that i know outside my country sometimes ends in .com and .io. But so far I just use freebies to bet.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: October 10, 2017, 01:11:20 AM
Bitcoins have always been used for crimes. You can look back and see for yourself ie. Silkroad. I doubt that's going to change anytime soon, but that shouldn't be a reason for people not to accept Bitcoins. I see people who make this argument all the time. You can make the same argument that USD has been used for crimes, but that doesn't stop people from not using it.
Crimes are now being smart in many ways. Because this is one issue why some government are having doubts on adopting bitcoin. In a way we all are making illegal transaction because bitcoin is virtual. And if the government can't control it, they will just acknowledge it as illegal. Bitcoin is becoming a multi-million dollar investments and there are more internet protocols to be followed than before.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: October 09, 2017, 09:55:30 AM
If Wade can maintain what he's doing in pre season to regular season. There's a high possibility that they will be in the Finals again and  can match up now against GSW. That would be entertaining to watch if ever they will face again.

Don't worry he can maintain what he showed during the preseason he's a versatile and consistent players knowing that from his past team at Chicago Bulls there's no noise that he's bringing there because he lacks of teammates that can play well together with him. But now he's with a good lads that can bring a team up together up until the finals I wish he'll continue his contract after 1 year.
Wade understand his rule, he knows that he is not the main man anymore and just a supporting cast for Lebron but together they can create a good team. They are a very dangerous team now as they are compose of MVPs who are good enough to deliver a win especially in tough times.

But being a support for the superstar is a big thing and Wade's really know his role on this team now and he likes it more than his past team. There's a lot of happening and exposure for him now on this team together with Lebron and I know that their main goal now is to hit the championships and beat the crap out of Golden State Warrior, I'm not telling that they have assurance but they've something on this.
Warriors are still the same team, they are more confident now as they won the championship but the cavaliers are more determine to take that away from them and once again champion. Having 3 big players (wade, Thomas, and Rose) is such a steal, it clearly show how badly they want to beat the warriors, although Lebron loses his teammate but it was for improvement and now we can see that only Lebron is the main man in the team.

But it is good that most of the members are not hungry for championship or like desperate that they want to do all things for the team. At least in cleveland they are not so greedy with the ball that each of those newly recruited or the previous members want to shine on their own. Because if we remember 5 or 4 years ago when the lakers had howard, nash and bryant and others star players but it did not workout because of too many role players who havent acquired a championship ring..
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I expect BTC dump before another fork? on: October 09, 2017, 08:19:02 AM
Should I expect dump before another fork and put my money from crypto to USDT or shall I put everything to BTC ?
I expect a little duo after another fork but the wisest choice one can do during this time is just hold every btc already got since one will get free money after fork so it doesn't matter if it dips a little, it will still give dome profit through the freely given btc forked version. Although that is the case if you have money on other crypto, feel free to also hold them. Don't put your money in one basket.

The previous fork offered free btccash for everyone who has bitcoin depends on wallet or what exchange supported btc cash. Since another fork is comming people are expeciting to have free BTC Gold for them. So i guess you could put all in bitcoin in a wallet to acquire the BTC that might be given with the same amount as how much bitcoin he stored in that wallet. This time maybe just make sure you have good wallet and put it all in one basket. Split if after the fork.
150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How difficult is it to sell your position? on: October 09, 2017, 06:49:28 AM
HI guys,

I see a lot of us buying/investing in a lot of crypto currencies but my question is how to cash out of them? Is it as easy as buying them? Or are they limits?

Thanks

On exchanges, you generally have an option to put out your cash into a USD / fiat wallet. That should offer solutions to withdraw into your account. Either that or you can go from Bitcoin to USD.

Bitcoin users differ in countries so i guess that depends on what kind of services your country has. Most are in USD so their are a lot of services offered for easy transaction. Better to send them to some blockchain enabled sites if there are any available in your place. I think the service that could beused to cashin should offer also cashout options. Assuming that the site is not an exchange site.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to get to $5,000 before end of this week! on: October 09, 2017, 06:15:05 AM
I have seeing a very strong buying signal across most of the exchangers platforms and I think $5000 is already at hand.  Currently bitcoin's price is at $4607 and if we get another serious push again we may break the resistance at$4950 area. I have also See MACD and relatively strength index showing a very strong bullish momentum.
I will have to agree with your speculations, they are accurate and might be true. However, I think end of the week for that value is too soon, say end of this months.

Looking at the current value of bitcoin I must say that it has the potential of reaching $5000 probably by the end of this month. We should try and understand that the value of bitcoin doesn't take time to recover and the same applies to when crashing.  In my opinion, I think that bitcoin will soon begin reaching new all time highs.

With some recent news about countries adopting bitcoin and even schools accepting bitcoin, it gives positive feedback for bitcoin and it serves as a good ad for the coin. A lot of businessmen gave some bad comments last week but in turns out a their are more who wants take of the bitcoin currency. In some perspective, bitcoin can be used in illegal means but more and more news are positive about the bitcoin.
152  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 7 People arrested for Bitcoin Trading on: October 09, 2017, 05:06:23 AM
The news article lacks explanation on what grounds they are being arrested for, but I presume is that they are running a bitcoin exchange without any business permit in that country making it illegal. As of now there are no legal standing in Nepal with regards to Bitcoin but people who are running a illegal business should be apprehended as for their own safety especially their citizens because without any official addresses they could run away with all their client's Bitcoin.

Further results may uncover also how they were discovered or what did they do that the government spotted them. Even if its illegal but most users also are doing transaction underground. My guess would be that they made big transaction at such that they converted it to their fiat currency or, they were tracked from on guy from their government making big transaction without legal laws of regulation from India.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should governments allow bitcoin to continue grow? on: October 09, 2017, 03:58:51 AM
There can be a lot of reasons. If they would outlaw Bitcoin, it would just be moved to the deep web and it will become much harder to monitor transactions and crackdown on criminals who use it for illegal operations. When Bitcoin is legal governments can just work with exchanges and other services if they need to investigate something. Bitcoin is not much different from cash - sure governments can't print more Bitcoins, but they can print more fiat and buy BTC with it. It's very likely that in the future governments and banks would adapt to Bitcoin instead of fighting it.

your response here is largely correct because of the fact that governments do not likely have much of a choice.  In one sense they have to have a vision about the extent to which bitcoin could be a threat, and then foresight as to when that could be - 40 years down the road when everyone in power is dead?

Another aspect is competing visions of government entities and also competing visions of government agencies as well.  It is quite likely that a large number of agencies and individuals within the agencies are coming to differing assessments about what is bitcoin, whether it is good or bad, and whether there are reasonable proactive ways to attempt to stifle it's development and/or growth.

It is possible but right not its not directly that they could allow bitcoin. They could just use an entity to use bitcoin for them and also use that entity for future economic uses. Because even if government says they will support bitcoin, they need some 3rd party to see to it that all transaction from citizens are protected and to help in further security. And security is the most important thing for civilians because they might think twice when their would be news about some internet fraud when they start using bitcoin.
154  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Lawyers accepting bitcoin for services on: October 08, 2017, 09:14:31 AM
I am an attorney and accept all forms of cryptocurrency. Often take token as partial consideration for ICO work even. No prohibition in Illinois, California and NY
Most of the lawyers here in my country dont even know about bitcoin propoerly adopting it as a currency is absolutely a next level thing here. So just cannot imagine such a case in India anytime soon. Most of them have problems related to disposal of currency not many are accepting it to buy things of daily needs.

Well that is not their side of specialty and lawyers actually do prefer cash because off course that's how most works. Lawyers are not the only job that could accept bitcoin. Because in the future most assets would be in bitcoin and other services now are starting to make bitcoin as part of their transaction. Their is an article even that a certain in school in switzerland is accepting bitcoin. So the question now would be which country would be next one to innovate bitcoin in there transaction.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ebtc, Eltc, Edash, Eripple, Ebcash....You ready for the E cryptos?? on: October 08, 2017, 08:33:29 AM
i see the E cryptos wants to bring something new for investor and for people and now many of dev is trying to create the coins. but if the dev don't have a good plan and a good team then its no use. the coins will not survive in the crypto currency world and only reach temporary high price and then will drop. i see euphoria among us with this E cryptos and i don't know what will happen later and if there isn't utility or value from the coins then we don't need to follow the journey.

I think could also be some attempt to advertise their bitcoin. If they want to invite local traders, then would really have to spend especially is they want to let even in far flung areas would want to know their services. If ebtc started it, others coins might have noticed how it became successful for gathering supporters. It is in the community if they would want to get it or not at their own risk but if it is free, who wouldnt want it?
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots Strategies? on: October 08, 2017, 07:54:50 AM
If you are playing in a real casino for slot machine i suggest you find a good slot machine game that offers lots of bonus when you get a certain image. I forgot the slot machine i was playing before it is kinda a chinese type slot machine wherein if you get 3 types of this image or picture you'll get a 20x free roll. Last time i played there my budget was only 2k PHP and i got that bonus after the 20x free roll my money on slot machine is 20k php. I cash it out immediately and inserted 2k PHP again.

I dont there are any slot strategies if you are either in online of IRL. Like most games in gambling all are based on pure luck and the skill you need is when and where will you bet the right amount in the spot or time. The odds in casinos is just 50-50 on win or loss. Even of this games are programmed, it would actually take a long time to decipher which is just wasting time if you want to decode some small time gambling sites. And developers wont be just easy to take down.
157  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have people been forced to pay tax over Bitcoin yet? on: October 08, 2017, 06:45:53 AM
In my country (Philippines), they are not imposing or charging taxes to bitcoin users because it is hard to determine who used bitcoin. And there are no laws about charging taxes on bitcoin users yet. Also it's very rare that you see a bitcoin users here because bitcoin here is not that popular. People also are hesitant to buy and use bitcoin. They are calling bitcoin a scam but it's not. I just let them. Anyway, if you give them your income statement. For sure they will charge you with tax. But as long as they don't know what you are doing. You can't be charge for taxes since they don't even know that you are using bitcoin.

I could agree on this and the country still is not yet fully dedicated to bitcoin issue because right now their are a lot of internal affairs to be dealt with before making huge movement on bitcoin. The legislative are still going on around drug issues and members of the government are still on conflict on each other revealing secrets about each on everyone. So i guess thats is why bitcoin is still not a major issue on the country.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any up and coming ICOs that are worth to invest? on: October 08, 2017, 06:26:54 AM
I would suggest eth, waves, steemit and ripple. Ethereumas we know is a platform for other altcoin the same with waves. I know these coins would increase because it is really a necessity for other projects. Steemit for can be profitable because it is the only paying social media as of now that depends on how good is your post.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For every seller there must be a buyer on: October 08, 2017, 05:36:15 AM
Ok, so if we are to believe the hype, the Chinese are dumping like crazy, and also many other weak hands.  So question is, who is buying this up?  Surely the smart money has held on till around the $3000 level before jumping in.  So who/why is anyone actually buying over the last few days?
Of course! I mean what’s the sense of selling something if no one’s gonna purchase from you? Seller and buyer goes hand in hand. But being a seller needs patience since buyers don’t come instantly...

This was something I was looking for. People are often becomes panic when they are in role of seller. Buyer doesn’t have to do more with emotions but yeah seller would have some amazing feat of relations with emotions especially in decision of whether selling finally or not. So like you said, there are buyers for all sellers so sellers have to be patient.

China is one of the main miners in the blockchain and it really did affect the entire market when they made their decision. But right now it had just become a part of history of bitcoin where it continuous to grow even with those issue and even if some other businessmen are trying to devalue or degrade bitcoin. The price is still going high and more and more enthusiasts are innovating bitcoin for their own advantage.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC analysis for this month! on: October 08, 2017, 04:46:01 AM
UPDATE 2: Guys, we were lucky to have reached 4450 price level before the end of October and I guess there are some more surprises waiting ahead in the near future, some exciting events happening:
- Decision of miners over SegWit2x
- A new hard fork possibly named "Bitcoin Gold".
- May define a new era of Bitcoins or Bitcoin will still get the victory.

Don't know what will happen, but whatever does it will be extremely exciting. Stay tuned for the real story that's yet to happen during this whole month.
We are now heading towards a big bubble and I can assure you that this time, it's not small.

Agreed. I think that the pump will take us to $7k+ if the news with Segwit2x will be positive instead of negative, and we see quite a big bubble developing in the bitcoin price that will not pop for a few months.

However, the price forecast will depend a lot of bitcoin gold and Segwit2x, what turns out and how the markets react to the news.

If the news is negative then we could see bitcoin head down to sub $4000 once again.

Some factors also that could add the price increase if with the coming of more and more investors either from rich guys or some local traders. Because even if those work out but if another big company or state like China would change their mind then the success from those activation would take only a short time. So for me, i still hope their are more investors in bitcoin so it could help surge bitcoin.
