681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: May 08, 2017, 02:22:57 AM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue
trading is for earning for me and the gambling is for fun both have thrill but the gambling have the higher risk, I am just enjoying the both.

Agreed but sometimes for me gambling is also earning as long u know how and when to stop.

Trading for me is a long time investment. This is also my saviour if i am out of money, i would just trade coins from early times for at least higher profit.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC feeling the decline on: May 08, 2017, 01:19:50 AM
Maybe but because its part of the business that sometimes you have to do some maintanance even if it cost some decline in time. BTC has the highest price in the marketcap and probably the most mined. Also segwit has done something to improve transactions but i think it is still not enough to stop any hardfork issues. But still we hope that blockchain could be fixed as long as it takes so that no more issues like this would arise again.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not for profit blockchains? on: May 06, 2017, 06:35:16 AM
Yes, you need. Otherwise there's always foldinghome that requires your pc resources without economic incentives. But that's not a blockchain and there's no money at stake. Any blockchain that attempts to secure any value must be incentivised.

I think this is possible because its part of a circulation. Encrypting every transactins might be easy but after many transactions everyday. The blockchain server might need to another server or more manning to handle every transactions. Because there is a big chance that "hardfork might happened if the incentives is just the same. As the growing price of btc if bursting and many more investors are comming in. And blockchain does not only transac btc but also other altcoins.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: Increasing Bitcoin Market Capitalization, when does it affect real economy? on: May 06, 2017, 05:18:28 AM
these numbers although they seem big are still too small. but it is growing and will continue to do so as new coins are created and price is heading up. and it really doesn't have that much of an effect on the real economy when you think about it. again because bitcoin is still too small to have such an effect there are a lot of other huge markets with a much bigger market cap than bitcoin out there.

The market value of Bitcoin is over 20 billion EUR. This is huge increase but it’s stil insignificant in relation tot he total money supply (M3 according tot ECB). Is there an opinion in the community about the influence of increasing market capitalization (lets’s say over a quadrillion) on currency markets, real economy etc. ?

Forget total money supply, it is insignificant in comparison to other asset classes. There are many companies whose valuation exceed EUR 20 Bn. So Bitcoin is still in its infancy. I don't think it has a discernible effect on the real economy.

Yes, bitcoin current market price is very less compared to other currency markets in the world. But even it goes very high also it may not affect on real economy because no governments are considered bitcoins as a real money. So it will not impact much on any countries or world economy. If more and more real businesses start accepting bitcoins then its prices will grow and its market capitalization will go higher but still, I don't think it will affect on any countries economy.

I think there will be a time that govenrments will hire cryptographers just to adopt the currencies. Cause if the government will directly impose rules against btc then a lot of businessmen would take chance and invest in btc. Because as of today millionaires are taking there business in bitcoins or altcoins. this may help economically in the business world but states could get bankrupt if they would make no adjustments in their investments.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: May 06, 2017, 03:48:19 AM
And they hold the most sweep in the 1st round postseason. There also a high chance of the cavs going 10+ straight win the in the post season. They benched lowry during game in their own homecourt and they are struggling at least to find there pace in the series. For many years west has been dominated by lebron on both miami and cavaliers. i think its fair to say that 2010's is the new era of lebron. he had gone 3-3 in the finals on those years but he still is a record holder and counting.

686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can survive even can rise in price from hardfork issue? on: May 06, 2017, 01:12:23 AM
Bitcoin price is keep on rising because the user believe hard fork is not going to happened and they choose to used bitcoin, if the hardfork is happened then the price will go down again and value will become really low, but since it is not happening then I believe bitcoin will get stronger and there will be more people using bitcoin

I think bitcoin users are now smart in reading the situation, especially with hardfork issues that are not necessarily true

I think this can also become a great step for btc. Because really its getting hard for the blockchain to transac the coins with millions of transaction everyday. A hardfork is better than waiting for far more worse to happen. If they can make another complex cryptography to support the blockchain without the hardfork then that would better.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 05, 2017, 12:44:41 PM
TV can be good media to reach wide range of possible bitcoin users but running tv ads will cost so much and nobody want to pay those money from their pocket.

There will be no any incentive for the one who will pay for those ads. However I think we may see some tv ads in near future from bitcoin related local services in few countries to promote their services.

I totally agree. We cannot really foretell what the future has in store for Bitcoins but local merchants may advertise their products and indirectly promote the usage of Bitcoins. Say, they accept Bitcoin as a form of payment in order to entice more consumers. This way, Bitcoins are indirectly advertised to consumers alike. Nonetheless, it would be futile to advertise Bitcoin as of writing since advertising requires a huge sum, and perhaps, no one will be willing to shoulder the costs. Moreover, Bitcoin can sustain even without the help of TV ads.

Probably but we maybe in the internet era but not all wants to just sit there and read and sometimes doing absulotely nothing. While many fail to realize how easy after sometime to get money here many are are still interested to try these but may not exceed beyond a year. If even you suggest that localities might accept btc it would soon gather attention of the government and sometimes the government wont approve of anything that is tax free except churches therefor if a government fails economically they target these taxless transaction and who knows what they would do.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is DYING, LONG LIVE THE NEW KING LTC on: May 05, 2017, 11:29:26 AM
Bitcoin won't die. What would happen is litecoin would be one of the closest competitors of bitcoin on the market someday just like ethereum. But I agree that litecoin is rising faster than bitcoin and I hope it would not stop.
With this point I agree. Litecoin is just one of the best cryptos along with eth and btc. Ltc is indeed rising faster that btc right now. But this 'now' aspect is very important. The OP gave us the calculations but they don't take into account the previous history. There were times when bitcoin was growing and litecoin was worth only around $6. So, my point is, litecoin will not always grow faster than bitcoin and we can't talk about it overtaking the throne yet.

I think a coin will die if it runs out if coins or all its coined are mined and off course investors. Many coins are now rising up to the ranks thanks to investors who are willing to help a coin. LTC for one just released coins and many mined it just in time. I will not say that LTC is the biggest but there other comparable fluctuations in other coins. ethereum for started after LTC but its one of the next highest coin after btc. So i dont really see any coins dying. Another story if a coin is for scam only.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: May 05, 2017, 10:03:22 AM
All easy for Golden State against Utah jazz (115-104). Golden State builds the victory already in the first quarter with 18 points advantage (33-15). Probably also this turn will win 4-0.

Washington dominates the match against Boston (116-89) and reopens the series.
For Washington there are 6 players with at least 10 points, with Wall the best (24 points and 8 rebounds)

This is the moment where Warriors would be just waiting for there. I would like to see jazz prolong the series and hayward performed tonight but they are far from winning the series they need more offensive players and there play style is not suitable for a championship contender. They need a different approach and the next season.

690  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar Collapsing on: May 04, 2017, 06:40:48 AM
Let's have some new news. The US dollar has apparently been collapsing for decades. They will only let it die when it suits them.
I do tell people from the third world countries whose currencies are being control by dollar's dominant to completely adopted bitcoin and blockchain technology as this will collapse the power of dollars over their local currency and stimulating they economic. Collapsing of dollar dominant is good for developing countries and if this has happened long time ago then I do believe now is the best time to berried it.

Well it's good but sometimes 3rd world countries have more problematic issues to prioritize.  I think one of its collapse is due to the increase of other investing infrastructures or mostly here in bitcoins. Because bitcoin is really famous more and more investors are enticed to invest in btc because of some obvious bright side that it is tax free. Probably american millionaires are also turning some of there profits in btc because of the growing amount of btc. All you need is a good investments then you can have income in time and to this date btc has the highest underground change in dollars more than others.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will LTC overtake XRP in market cap? on: May 04, 2017, 05:26:18 AM
Looks like LTC is the next $1bn blockchain, but will it keep on going and eventually reel in XRP??

I think who ever could make many supply could win. Btc is the highest not because only of its price because everyone can mine it easily and its supply is in demand. LTC may increase in the market but that depends on its demand,a lot of altcoins were made nad LTC is one of the oldest. I would agree that LTC would increase but i its not really that it will overtaking any others.
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin break the history. on: May 04, 2017, 04:52:11 AM
Yeah, In the start of 2016, i bought 4 and half bitcoin when bitcoin was $380. Yeah, You are right, in this year bitcoin cross $1500. But don't forget it is because bitcoin is continuously rising, If bitcoin start to fall down than we should see bitcoin will be under $1000. But i always well wisher of bitcoin, but should see the dark side that bitcoin price is unpredictable.

And i think this is why btc is becomming a worldwide phenomenon in terms of mining. Many companies have built supercomputers just for mining. More and more btc are released for mining so i dont think btc like gold would vanish. Only the price would be manipulated and as far as i know commodities doesnt increase like how a btc would increase.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: May 04, 2017, 03:43:10 AM
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors , i will bet for Cleveland Cavaliers to win .
San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets , i will bet for San Antonio Spurs to win .

I'll bet for the the same choice with the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors, though Raptors is one of the best choice of the gamblers especially the sports bettors. And with the match of San Antonio Spurs vs Houston Rockets, I will go against with you. My choice is this game will get by Houston Rockets, I've seen on how they are playing for this season and I believe they can make it.

i betted on the same but i did not expect spurs to lose that bad. Omg that game 1 proves also james harden is a debatable MVP offer mr. 3ple double. That game 1 was really shocking but game is still on going and it seems spurs is getting the upper hand. rockets now could become a threat once they are in there homecourt. Imagine there gameplay at homecourt just by looking at there game 1.
694  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: LocalBitcoins BTC sellers being taken to court and pleading guilty on: May 04, 2017, 02:30:24 AM
That sucks, but it is not surprising. You need to jump through the legal hoops in order to exchange cryptocoins for FIAT in the USA. It was only a matter of time before the government started to go after those who don't do so. As far as USA faced buyers and sellers... when enforcement really ramps up, and this is only the beginning, then Localbitcoins will eventually be a ghost town. We will be stuck with Coinbase, et al.

It is a shame really. Local Bitcoins is such a convenient and fast way to exchange some coinage...

Well this just proves that btc is really just for an online transaction and can only be used if u converted it through online then you can use it for goods. $1490+ is a high value that is just roaming in the streets. Taking it out in the open would make the coin vulnerable. This also proves that is already considered a threat by authorities. But this is just of reports regarding the disposition of a coin. Let's wait for some speculations on what other effects can a btc give if traded like that.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people get together for altcoin projects? on: May 03, 2017, 03:15:37 PM
In Monero case, there someone that forked BCN and he made an ANN on this forum and people got interested in its technology and started following him and organising. Made forum communication channels. Those with developers skill started adding code.  When you have idea fro a coin that is needed you will get good team in no time. Monero is total example. You dont need any crowdfunding or ICO  or premine. Just an idea of an useful coin.
This i most honest model, and team is in the same position as investors. More they deliver more support they will get. I still believe this will become more popular again. Now is the time of ICO and ITO, my conclusion is that we are loosing decetralisation, and we are in direction tor the big corporate capital.

I think it's just like an audition where they post some things that only cryptographist can analyze( i don't know what to call them) because its a way on how developers would know  if you know a lot of these things. But i think most crypthographist are already experience coders because its one prerequisite of an a coder of even complex mathematics and even computer science connected knowledge.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: The fastest and safest way of finding bitcoin nature? on: May 03, 2017, 08:29:03 AM
Does anyone know how fastest way to securely search for bitcoins without the greatest risk of losing, surely every one has a different experience in finding bitcoin let's share it here?

Finding bitcoins? This isn't Pokemon Go. Bitcoin = Money.
You don't find bitcoins; you earn them.

After you earn them, you must know how to handle money and to be enticed with many schemes and sometimes gambling sites. There maybe no fastest but the safest way is and i agree to you that its trading, but we gotta need some patience in trading. It's not always that trading ensures high value but a guaranteed safety is observed because surely you will earn something in return.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: May 03, 2017, 03:42:35 AM
What a nice game between the Celtics and the Wizards, yeah it's nice even if I lose due to overtime, lol..
Good display of talents for Thomas and Wall, they both have an amazing night and were unstoppable, now it's the boston who lead the series with 2-0.
I am expecting the Wizards will bounce back in game 3, so with that I will go all in to recover my loses of betting wizards +5. Grin

I can't believe they bounced back from 110-104 to 110-110. For me that was the turning point the game 2 clutch by celtics. Wall and thomas showed a terrific performance that night it was I.T.'s night. Once again they got 6 straight wins in the post season. It's hard to imagine I.T. recovering from a tragedy and he made it as an inspiration to play more for his team. Kudos to the Celtics team.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 03, 2017, 03:26:14 AM
Nice to know that the prover has already raised 400 Btc. Hope this attract the many new investors and project launch be a great success and investors too get a good return in coming time .

It's nice to see the funds rising fastly in early days of Pre-sale project. it's a quite good plan.

I'm still waiting for a final result and I hope it will be a good signal for this project.

It seems the funds increasing everyday for the pre sale, lucky for the early birds who invested in this project. 12 Days left before the first phase will end.

Only signature bounty ?

They only run a signature campaign for the bounty at the moment. Maybe when the first phase is finished they will run a campaign for social media, translation, blog etc to promote this project for the second phase.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you know game like pusoy or tongits? on: May 03, 2017, 01:36:52 AM
This is an old card game in philippines but never seen this kind of game in bitcoin casino.. well if someone let them added this i think maybe more philippines people will gamble in that casino and i think it can be easily understand the game in facebook there is a game called tongits and its easy to play since its free you can train your self before you gamble in bitcoin once if their launch the game in casino..

I think there is an app for these games. It features pusoy dos, pusoy and tongits. The fun side on tongits is u can only get the stakes money once u've won twice in a row. if not it would just keep on accumulating until a player can win twice. tong-its also has many conditions to follow but once u master its rules then ok.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: May 02, 2017, 11:46:20 PM
Every time bitcoin price goes up,Altcoin price take a dip.No doubt bitcoin rule the crypto world and sooner or later it will become mainstream.
Once it happens, btc will be worth million dollar. Will then all Altcoin be died?Seems Altcoin price are inversely proportional to btc price, if btc keep rising, will Altcoin keep falling? .
Altcoin will not die, Although there will no person using it in the future. Altcoin will be following the bitcoin.
After bitcoin gets a pump and another will following it. But it will not be getting an instant pump. The bitcoin traders migrate to another coin and make more profit for his wallet.
That's just a bullish trend in crypto, Bitcoin will not make altcoin die in the future. Bitcoin pump and altdump, that's just a correction trend for all of the coins.

Well like the ancient times it all started as the money of 1 empire but time after time  many resurgence are coming then they come up with there own currency. I am not saying this altcoins want to dethrone btc but there is always. It's just saying Btc is the leading country but other countries have there own fiat for there own monetary surveillance.
