Altcoins are mostly here for speculation and exist as a kind of testnet! Lots of them are premined and don't have a huge community or pool of great developers.It's all about pump and dump. That sound hard but is the truth! Maybe we will see a handfull of alts who might make into mainstream as well beside Bitcoin, but I doubt this coins already exist.
