Everyone don't all rush to respond at once
Artdealer, you may want to consider visiting the aicoin slack channel. You will likely get a faster response on there. You are absolutely correct that holding BTC directly would have given you much larger Absolute Return over that time period, but you also assumed the full risk. Just before that timeframe you could have seen the value drop that same percentage. The reason aicoin is so attractive is the AI's ability to side step these risks. While straight return is certainly key, consider also the Sharpe ratio and the Max drowdown. It is certainly too early to have enough data for a solid Sharpe, but this early analysis is unbelievable once you wrap your mind around the concept. These numbers are what ended up getting me excited. That and watching how productive the aicoin team is. Have a look at this article that explains the risk basis very well. https://www.aicoin.io/2017/11/06/analysis-returns-date/

Slackchannel is not good. Too much spam and scam. Why does aico want to go there? There are better possibilities of communication. Many ico have problems with scam im slack
I agree on that, I'm even seeing slackchannels having auto-report bots to notify the channel when another scam attempt has been send out.. Wish Slack would fix their gap I also agree. I really don't like slack due to all the fraud. A forum is much better as the content is searchable and people can more easily find answers to past questions. Forums are also much more inviting for lurkers and base users. Something like Discourse ( https://www.discourse.org/) type forum hosted directly on www.aicoin.io would be ideal, IMO

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency

No idea what the ZCL team plans are, but answers will be coming for ZEN. Most of the communication happens in the slack, so despite how many questions there appear to be over here in this thread, work on this issue is quite active. Besides the ZEN core team and other contributors, IOHK is currently looking into the ZEN code with a primary focus of "...making sure everyone's Zen is safe and that the code is in a stable state" A couple of the people from IOHK that are assigned specifically to looking into this are Prof. Roman Oliynykov, PhD https://iohk.io/team/roman-oliynykov/ and Dmytro Kaidalov, PhD https://iohk.io/team/dmytro-kaidalov/ of the Veritas Team. As an example, they wrote the dash treasury report https://iohk.io/research/papers/#NSJ554WRI am very excited to see everyone that is taking a real interest in the ZEN code and becoming involved. More information will be coming soon. Although I hate when people say it, patience is a virtue right now. Greatness is happening and I have been quite impressed. I am looking forward to some of the possible future plans for ZEN and its partnerships! In the meantime, if you have coins on ZEN from prior to block #110000 (ZCL coins that you held before the ZEN snapshot was created, the 1:1 ZCL:ZEN coins), the recommendation is to not create new TX's from those accounts (for now). Although trading is still active, this is why ZCL and ZEN withdraws/deposits have been suspended on Bittrex. It is to protect you (and the exchange) from any possible replay losses. If you have any coins that were mined or otherwise transferred to you in addresses created after block #110000, I am not aware of any issues. To be clear though, I am not fully aware of the potential issues if you control address with balances on both chains. The slack seems to be the best source of updates: https://zencash.slack.comdisclaimer: this isn't an official response, just info that has been made public in the slack

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax

It seems people keep asking about the trusted setup and current development in this thread...
Classic uses the exact same trusted setup as Zcash. So you can trust Zclassic as much as Zcash in that regards. (in the OP)
Windows wallet is in the works. There is a lot to do. Right now the main focus is keeping up to date with Zcash and keeping the network running smooth. There are unique projects in the works, but it is all a matter of time and as more developers come on board.
Remember that this project is only a week old. The reason I became interested in it is because of how stable the price is and how motivated the community is for only being around a few days.

Anyone know why people are fleeing pool.MN ? it was the largest pool now its the smallest
good question, watched it go from 1200 workers down to 890... whats up with that...... only thing i can think of is people are not liking the payout estimates being so badly off and thinking they are getting ripped off. I was assuming that it had to do with new pools coming online. pool.NM was one of the first of only a couple options. Now with more available the user base is being spread out. Seems like the user base dropped some when Supernova came online...of course, these are just my assumptions and not based on any facts.
