There is one think i am trying to understand, there is a mixer involved for every donation above 0,5btc which makes them very suspicious. Am i missing something here or is it just a coincides?

Simple enough, all donations above 0,5btc are untraceable due to mixing. Is it just a coincidence? I have a feeling that those donations are made by the project owners. Do i need to be more clear?

Yet another group of trolls who posts deliberately inflammatory messages which cause a lot of confusion in the community. Or is this just another iceberg of misinterpretation and misconception? I'm irritated. To bring this discussion to an end, as far as I'm concerned of, there is no reliable way to distinguish a mixed transaction from a regular transaction (unless it's coin join).

Now, that you claim that you have found a magic algorithm which consistently identifies mixed transactions, would you mind sharing it with us? This would help us all to verify your allegations. I give you 3 BTC if you can do so within the next 24 hours.

Hello World,

This mentalpanda guy is writing bullshit.
These are all normal looking and entirely different compared to each other.

In 1BeyK8UPBAuvKahaeLbdDBwuqu1WJRdnca and 1C1ZXeQUJQGi8GL7iyjoi6zfGd4EC25981 for example, the user aggregates many unspent outputs into one address and donates the entire amount from there. This is the recommended procedure in the howto desciption.

1K4iZ9FFDx5CyAWKgfTH3hSCnVRtrmm1eS does it differently. He does not aggregation at all because he already has an unspent output of 2 BTC of which he donates 1.5 BTC and sends 0.5 BTC change to one of his change addresses.

1Gx4nmEt8VyNeSjn675o3bHZ7VSaZjS5yk is a totally different case. Here he either mixed or he withdrew 2.22 BTC to his address of which he donated 2 BTC and sent 0.22 BTC as change to one of his change addresses. It is impossible to tell if the btc came from a mixer, from an exchange or from somewhere else.

The quoted addresses which mentalpanda quoted are ALL DIFFERENT. Some of them 100% have not used a mixer, for others we can't tell.

I would say, mental panda is a full troll and went from HERO TO ZERO in just one post.

So you would pay me 0.01 BTC for allowing you to push an arbitrary TX that has ~7kbyte in size to the network?
Well as you can see it only has one input and a size of 7176, so not just any transaction with 7KB but a transactoin exactly like the stated one (of course the address will be different). Also there will be one more input, an input from my normal address. Yes I would pay 0.01BTC for that.

Why don't you just use Bitcoin's on-bord tools?

Code:
./bitcoind createmultisig 10 '["first public key", "second public key", "third public key", ...]'

Spending coins from that multisig address will result in an input script similar to what you are looking for.

Hello World,

I have added a screenshot to the website at http://elastic-project.org. We also have new colors, I have removed the Twitterblue.
Now I am working at the algorithmic challenge sections, which is meant to describe why we need Elastic, what complex problem it solves (a problem that centralized solutions do not have, decentralized verifiable computation), and how it is different from centralized solutions like BOINC. All pseudo-technical so both beginners and experts can understand it and not more then 100-200 words so it does not overload the front page. Native speaker wanted, and I hope Lannister goes with me if I suggest a 0.05 BTC bounty for that. Should be not more than a 10 minute work.

Great, I'd just change the color scheme, there are 16777216 possible colors in RGB and everyone is using twitter blue.

Have you seen the main site already?
http://elastic-project.org/

I must admit, I have even knocked off the logo from twitter. But I already wrote that I hope someone else comes up with something nicer than that.
Regarding the color theme, I am open for any suggestions.

Hello World!

I have continued working on the new website. Last night I have modified the forum theme to match the main theme.
If you want you can check it out here: http://forum.elastic-project.org/

The CSS is not 100% perfect, if anyone has time to patch it, feel free. I need a break.

Hello World!

I have continued working on the new website at http://elastic-project.org/. I have added a short explanation of the general idea of the Elastic Project. Could you please check if I have explained everything correctly? Any changes are welcome.

I have added a logo to http://elastic-project.org, but I am not very happy with it. It's basically a twitter knockoff. Maybe some has the time to do something better, maybe something entirely in white so we keep the design flat.

I think that we need a website that goes beyond what we have now. So I have created a Wordpress based website on http://elastic-project.org/. It's not completely finished so see it as a beta version. It contains a knowledge base which I planned to contain all knowledge that has been collected so far. That includes technical details, background infos, guides how to recover private keys from different online wallets, later also tutorials how to install or compile the client for differnt platforms, and many more. The lack of information is what I criticize most on the current website.

Good work, this looks amazing! I can write about some technical details (mini-blockchains, pos, some attacks).
I would do it on a low-priority level though as I am working heavily on the client at the moment.

I have not yet taken a deeper look into it, but is it possible to use the wiki markup language for the articles?

Afaik it's not possible to use WML, but there is a nice editor which allows you to easily write and edit your articles. HTML is also fine if you need something beyond the basic features.

So my question now is: Who would volunteer or at least help me writing these articles?

PS: I left out the logo on purpose because I have read about a possible logo contest. Will it take place?

For some reason my original post was removed, so I try it once again:

Hi everybody,

my Name is Jonas, I'm from Munich (at the Isar River, that's where my nick comes from) and I'm 34 years old.
I've been using both Java and NodeJS for a few years now, both in my 9 to 5 job and for my own projects.
I'm impressed by the general idea of the project as well as by what you have done so far, so I decided that I want to become part of it. As I have read that Elastic is a "loose formation of developers" I'll just skip the application process, so: here I am.

The most important thing that is missing, is a clear structured todo list.
I think we should focus on that, first. Otherwise we will quickly find ourselves trying to do all things at the same time, multiple times. We could use github for that or we setup some work organization tool ourselves. Also, I would strongly suggest setting up a Slack as not everything needs to be discussed in public, not because it's secret but because it's simply boring for the rest.

Since I posted this message two days ago, I have registered the domain http://elastic-project.org and purchased a server so we can host all necessary tools at one central point. I have asked Lannister in a private message if he would pay for domain and server, and he did without hesitation so thank you very much for that. On this server I have already installed a forum software with two predefined boards and the rest will follow soon. The forum can be found here:

http://forum.elastic-project.org.

I would suggest that, for now, we move all technical talk to the "Development Board" over there. This gives us at least some structure. I am by the way open for any suggestions about what other tools and software we might need.
