1  Other / Beginners & Help / Your Worst/Unluckiest noob mistake with BTC on: May 02, 2013, 05:02:48 PM
Me? I bought a few coins on MtGox a few weeks ago for $165 and was the second highest bidder before a ~>30% crash. Woops  Roll Eyes

Feel free to post pictures worth 1,000 descriptions of 'bad luck'.

waiting for the drop to $25 to start buying...

Good plan. I myself am sat next to the river waiting for the gold to fall back into it that was taken out in the 1800s.

 Funniest thing I've read all day.

I'm using my laptop  Grin

Same as this guy, using an ASUS laptop with a 3000something ATI card. Averaging 30mH/s. I get .001BTC a day  Grin

Question! I have an old Sayno SCP in good working condition and on your site it says the value is 0.00000 BTC.

Does that mean you won't give me anything for it?

There are some cool pictures of different things I've seen while out hiking on it, those are at least worth .1 BTC right?  Grin

A crash does look evident. I'd relate this to something someone said in the thread about BFL's new ASIC miners in another thread.

Very cool, I love Khan Academy's resources! Awesome to see them doing this, their mission fits the Bitcoin ideal.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Litecoin Pool Mining Question on: April 09, 2013, 05:14:34 AM
Hey everyone I am a small time miner looking to mine litecoins as well as bitcoins. I mine really small amounts of btc currently, I get like .01 every 2 days and hash 30mH/s  Grin

I want to get into litecoin too but I have no clue how to get into a mining pool. I downloaded the litecoin software and was following this guide here;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131350.0

But I reached a snag. I'd post this somewhere else but the noob limitations force me to ask here first.

Basically my problem is I am on the step where I run P2Pool.exe and it says the connection was actively refused by the other target machine.

Does this mean P2Pool doesn't work anymore or is down?
