61  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $20,000 in the bank, should I invest? on: March 19, 2013, 10:49:27 AM
You can set trigger orders to prevent from loosing it all if it crashes. Set it at the value you want, and when it reaches "at or below" the value you have chosen, your bitcoins will sell automatically without the need to be in front of your computer and you will be able to "secure" your funds until the bitcoin economy stabilizes.

Honestly though, I don't see it crashing yet. All the news that is coming in is very good and promising for the future!
62  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitspend has an amazing first week! on: March 19, 2013, 10:36:25 AM
Is booking a trip to Mexico or Jamaica a possibility?

Thank you for your business. The idea is really awesome and as someone said, this is the kind of thing that will make bitcoins go to the stars. I say you have a very bright future in front of you Smiley

I didn't know Vircurex was that small I expected more sell orders!
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever hit $1,000? on: March 18, 2013, 11:37:41 PM
Yes.

With a maximum of 21 million bitcoins that can be mined, just imagine IF huge websites such as Amazon or eBay started to use them...21 million isn't even 1% of America's population! It will become very scarce eventually and 21 million is really a small number.

How did you even turn it off? :O

Oh yeah, no doubt there are big players doing that, and that works pretty well it seems.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC is going insane! Remember when BTC was 50 cents? Well LTC is now! on: March 13, 2013, 02:28:05 AM
And to all the cryptocurrency enthusiasts...Litecoin is gaining value against BTC. It has gone from 0.0022btc to 0.01579btc (live quote) in just about a week. I personally put about 50% of my BTCs into LTCs when it was at 0.0055, and another 40% at 0.0078 and don't regret it. Of course, this may look like a bubble but I have an interesting margin where I can simply switch back to BTCs if shit hits the fan but I expect the raise to continue for a couple of days before eventually stabilizing for real. I keep a close eye on the market, I haven't slept a lot these past 5 days. I'm trying to day trade which is new to me but the market is small enough so you actually get some influence on the rate when you make 100btc+ transactions.

LTC is all good and crazy now, but it seems like it MAY be some kind of temporary bubble (because after reading much on it I believe the natural value should be higher than it is now, but all in due time). So you just gotta stay awake, alert, and when the real adjustment seems to be taking place, act accordingly.

I say excellent investment in short term, long term is uncertain.

And the specifics of the idea. . . . . . . .

Yeah we need some features at least
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to get in to BITCOIN with GPU mining? on: March 12, 2013, 10:43:27 AM
Yes, most probably. With the coming ASIC mining rig GPU will be made obsolete. However, you can mine litecoins with the same rig! Look at their performance this past week. They went from 0.0022btc to 0.0112btc today!! I have put a lot of btc into ltc (litecoins) and well...I've doubled the amount of btc put in!

74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Its the simple stuff that gets ya OR How I lost 10 btc on: March 07, 2013, 06:33:23 AM
And then, literally as I was publishing this.... the fucking little flag just popped up and the btc arrived!!!!  A full 4 hours of horrible waiting.

So Nevermind.  LOL Shocked

Seems like there's a lot of lag within the system these past 3 days. I had to wait close to 5 hours to got a single confirmation on a transfer between two instawallets. Horrible, I too thought that something had messed up.

+ Reading about the lag on Mt. Gox today...could it be that the system cannot sustain so many orders??
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Goldman Sachs could toast us. on: March 07, 2013, 06:31:18 AM
GS had nothing to do with the flashcrash today...I'm thinking Goxlag has something to do with it...
