Kind of unsmart if they want to show the world that they are number 1.

I love the fact that they are banning bots.. bots kill the trading.

looking at thegenesisblock i did some math and things are looking grim..wanted to know what you guys think about it.

Given facts:
- With an initial mining date of October
- Difficulty ~140 mil (now 110 + 30% over the next week)
- 1 Jupiter @ 400 MH/s
- BTC@140$

Results. This scenario with an increase of 77% until march next year will not break even!
Considering that in October we will most likely see 40-50%/11day increase since KNC is shipping, November and December mark the months of newcomers such as (CoinTerra and HashFEst)
The likelihood that the difficulty will taper off until march 2014 is next to 0.

Maybe i`m not seeing all the sides of the cube, but it is not looking good.
With BTC @ 180$ will have profited ~400$

571  Economy / Economics / Re: The end of the ASIC on: August 14, 2013, 01:18:55 AM
It is evident to me mining difficulty has more impact than halving (or at least halving magnifies price in relation to difficulty)

More to the point how many GPU miners are still running?

For me I'd need to see a 50% drop in price today to make it unprofitable. I suspect at least 70% of GPU miners are still at it, and are waiting for the coming ASIC oversupply.

@ OP
In Q3 and Q4 of 2010 GPU mining had a bigger impact on difficulty than ASIC's today, (CPU mining was rendered useless) the result proponents of Bitcoin pushed the price up.

While I agree with you. There are other variables like price that change the dynamic so no need to panic.

70% still mining btc? NO WAY! More like 5%

573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Big LTC Player on: August 11, 2013, 12:29:51 AM
I noticed this on btc-e and was ondering why someone would keep that much LTC on 1 account. Even if it is more accounts i`m sure they belong to the same person.

Would you gamble that many LTC?
574  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Network difficulty can't continue at 75% per month... on: August 10, 2013, 08:37:48 PM
i agree... mining is still profitable. Certainly not 10x but a decent 2x ROI should be made off for ex. KNC

579  Local / Market / Re: [WTS] Risere 1x-16x si 16x-16x on: July 30, 2013, 09:48:29 AM

580  Local / Romānă (Romanian) / Re: KNC Orders on: July 30, 2013, 09:45:30 AM
ai comandat? eu am incercat cu adresa din Madrid, Spania si mi-a calculat si TVA...
Oare conteaza orasul?
