1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the time last year, bitcoin this time this year on: July 12, 2018, 10:12:51 PM
Last year was a year that we experienced massive bullish run towards the ending of the year. However , cryptocurrency has  faced a lot of massive dip this year as a result of SEC  regulation. We still expect bullish run this year so we can smile again and be happy for investing into cryptocurrency.
That is just it, everyone expect something but there is no evidence for any expectation not for sure at least. Many people expect for bitcoin to rise high till the end of this year, and maybe that will happen. But there is no certainty that that will happen. My advice to all would be, don't expect anything (at least not for long runs). That way you will not be surprised when different things happen.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: [Survey] Have you ever heard of cryptocurrency? on: July 12, 2018, 08:06:12 PM
It's great to see the popularity of crypto is rising, but a bit sad to see that not many people owning crypto, and I believe most of the people want crypto because of the price that keep on rising, but I still happened to see the data, with increasing popularity there will be more developments for crypto in the future
Indeed, almost everyone that possess crypto keep it because of price rising. In other words, for them crypto is an asset and not currency. Which is sad indeed, but that will continue as such until crypto becomes as usable as fiat currencies. But that I don't expect to happen soon.  Also with increase of crypto users, everythiny becomes better.
Yeah more people are getting to know about crypto. Mostly are impressed with it because it is helping everyone. We all know that basic necessity of humans are fulfilled with money and everyone here is looking for different ways to earn men. So this basic necessity is just endorsed by bitcoin and other crypto, so the response was definite from people. Good luck to all those who are on stake.
Bitcoin and crypto in general had given people new opportunity for improving their lives and as you said to earn more money, and that is one more thing that helped the hype from the last year. But people should understand that there is more to crypto than simple money earning. But I guess that money earning will be primary thing for long time, or at least until bitcoin becomes true currency.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED OR CENTRALIZED? on: July 12, 2018, 06:30:28 PM
I believe that it is necessary to centralize bitcoins, so that through it do not washed money and do not buy prohibited substances or items. If it is centralized, then a lot of people will believe in it and really start to break the walls of distrust.
Depending on where you live, centralized currency can not solve all the problems involving money laundering and other criminal acts. Fiat currency (cash) is good for those kind of things too. At the end people will always find a way to do their business.
Also large part of community that supports bitcoin, supports it because its decentralized. If you take away that, many would leave and probably everything would go to waste.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the time last year, bitcoin this time this year on: July 12, 2018, 05:50:55 PM
I do believe that we still face a correction and this kind of correction is a sign of an healthy market. We need it. I hope soon a new money will flow into the crytpo world where this correction could be ended and the rise will continue.
I always say that its better to have lower but stable price, than to have volatile and unpredictable one. Tho volatile price has its perks, and also some people who live and make money from this volatility would disagree with me for sure, I still believe that stable and strong price is what we need here.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not too late to sell on: July 11, 2018, 03:40:15 PM
I think in 2018 also the right time we buy bitcoin, because at the moment now bitcoin price is also cheap, so I am sure you will get many benefits by selling high price in the future.
We all know that buying at the dips an selling at higher points is best option, and with everything that is going on lately I agree that this is good moment for buying and holding.
Some people predict some insane numbers for the end of this year, and if you are long term holder this would be great point for joining.
And yes, it is always better to wait a bit if possible, because price will definitely rise its just matter of time. So don't sell if you can afford yourself to wait a bit more.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not too late to sell on: July 11, 2018, 11:44:16 AM
I wonder why there are still people interested to sell, the market is looking goot at the moment but only to invest, selling at this point is one of the worst mistakes that you can actually make, i dont understand all that bunch of people that are impatient
I guess that some of them are impatient, but there are others that really don't have other option. What would you do if you were in some situation where you really need money and fast, but you have nothing else than your bitcoins? I guess most of the people would sell part or every coin they posses so that they could solve their problems. This is just one situations and there are many more.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Future....? on: July 10, 2018, 08:44:54 PM
The future of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is the future of our financial system and the earlier we adopt it the better it will be for us.  Cryptocurrencies has a brighter future than any other advance in technology.  I think bitcoin is the future of money.  We are not going to have it bad in future if we can invest now and I believe investing in bitcoin is investing in our future.
I wouldn't say that so categorically. Bitcoin has shown us that it is possible to build a fairer society in which the distribution of money does not depend on connections and corruption. But people were not ready for this and tried to combine the cryptocurrency and Fiat system. As a result, we got a crisis in the cryptocurrency market and now the future is in question.
That is one more reason why crypto didn't make great entrance into peoples life. Some people were not ready, and some didn't want things they could not control. That is why they try to make something between crypto and fiat like you said. But that is not end of things, who knows what could happen from that. Maybe people will see true potential of decentralized currency and strive to that end, but honestly I doubt that. What is more likely to happen, is that Bitcoin will stay asset forever and never reach its true potential of being worlds currency.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the time last year, bitcoin this time this year on: July 10, 2018, 07:32:56 PM
Bitcoin in 2018 is strongly adjusted. Many investors have lost hope in this market. However, I think this is a necessary and reasonable adjustment, I believe that the end of 2018 will have a strong rhythm for bitcoin.
Many investors lost their faith in bitcoin because they expected too much from it, and also I share you opinion that 2018 will be a year of adjustment.
And yet again some people expect that bitcoin will reach new heights at the end of this year... which is not impossible, but I doubt that. I think, all that we can expect from bitcoin is to reach stability and to start rising slowly. Maybe in 2019 we would see new heights, but as for 2018 I think we should be happy if we see price of $12k.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Future....? on: July 09, 2018, 06:33:38 PM
Bitcoin was the first blockchain based cryptocurrency and is as yet the market pioneer in view of market capitalization. However, even as the benchmark in the crypto ecosystem, it remains exceptionally volatile. Your opinion about the future of Bitcoin...
As far as volatile is concerned, that could change if peoples view changes. Most bitcoin users see bitcoin as an asset, and as long as that is the case bitcoin will be as volatile as we know it.
But even if people starts looking on bitcoin as an currency and start using is more frequently, a lot of time would pass before we could see stable price.
Other than that, predicting bitcoin future is as easy as predicting someone else's time of death...
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED OR CENTRALIZED? on: July 09, 2018, 02:43:12 PM
there are now so many developing decentralization, and in my opinion the best is centralization like bitcoin. if centralization all get connected easily.
You got it all wrong. Bitcoin is not centralized, its opposite. It would be best if you do some research before making posts like this.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED OR CENTRALIZED? on: July 09, 2018, 11:30:13 AM

Many individuals agree and have the same opinion about bitcoin as decentralized digital asset, a system without a central bank or single administrator is more favourable.
But somehow, numerous citizens want also the bitcoin to be centralized, because others believes it can remove barricades and walls to allow more easily reached and democratized financial and economic infrastructure.
For you what is your own perspective regarding this matter?

Wll, it is better for the bitcoin users if it will become centralize because that was one factor that we can say bitcoin will last forever. There are other countries who want it to use as their regular money as payment in some stores if it is become centralize then many people will attract to invest  or buy bitcoin.
That's maybe true but when it becomes centralized the government will have the right to manipulate it like they are doing with fiat for the longest of the time.
They would not have the "right" to manipulate it, but if that was the case they could do it. Decentralization is one great thing about bitcoin and blockchain in general, and if you take that out... everything that would be left is no different from any other currency out there. Centralized system seams like good thing, but its not. At least that is how I see it.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops Below $6,500 on: July 05, 2018, 08:21:31 PM
Bitcoin might be testing new lows by going below $6,500 level, however, analysts like Tony Vays and Ran Neu-Ner believe it will even hit $4,975 and $5,900 respectively before any upward momentum could be expected. Bitcoin Bull, Tim Draper is still bullish and planning to buy even more bitcoins with no plans to sell them any time now.

BTC highly bearish, Tony Vays’ target $4,975 but…

The world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Bitcoin has fallen to its lowest since February. Today, Bitcoin dropped down to an extreme low of $6,433. However, it has again gained a slight upward shift and gone above $6,500 level at $6,510.

Its fine if the market drops below $6k dollars, it only means that other people who did not have enough capital to invest can purchase bitcoins on a cheaper price and earn profit in the future.
This situation could also be good for those people who bought when the price was a bit higher, and now with lower price they can buy again and that way balance out their investment and make their ROI time shorter.
Every moment has its good sides and bad ones, but at the end it all comes on individual needs. Also, people should be prepared for possibility that price could go under $6k, but honestly I doubt it will.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is the antminer for Ethereum on the market yet? on: July 05, 2018, 12:55:56 PM
But still, they are cheaper than a mining rig composed of graphics cards.

The first batch for $800 was cheaper. At the current price it's close enough to a GPU rig that it doesn't seem to be worth it.

First deliveries should start July 16.
Yeah, first batch was cheap and at the moment mining with it was dramatically profitable compared to gpu mining.
Even if it is a very little bit profitable than gpu, my vote for gpu mining in anyway. I have bad history with asics, they damage easily. GPU's work very well and are easy to sell after use in mining. Also for example if you buy GTX 1080ti, you have possible chance of great roi. For example this winter it could return invested money in two month if you would mine on nicehash or on other coins.
I share your opinion on GPU matter, however there is one thing that interest me. How did you come to conclusion that roi for 1080ti would be two month? I don't know where you live, and maybe price of 1080ti in your country is lower than in mine, but here I would need around two years for roi. NH shows average profitability of 1080ti with $0.05 KW/h to be around $48, so two months for roi is insane conclusion. Or maybe you thought two years?
Where are you getting a two-year break even period for a 1080Ti? The cards now commonly go for around $700 (they're even in the Nvidia store for that price right this moment), and with that price I figure you break even in 14 months, which isn't close to two years. I know they only ship to Canada, the US and its territories, but prices shouldn't be a lot higher than that right now for the card.

Prices are supposedly going to drop further sometime next month or so, so at the very least you might get down to the $700 that most people are paying right now or lower.
In my country prices are insane, so for 1080ti you would pay from $900-1200. Now I think you can understand why I said around two years for roi. I guess this is a surprising for you, and its so frustrating for me because beside a bit of mining I enjoy playing games, and having good GPU is costy for me. I had to pay around 500 euros for G1 1070 card for my desktop last year, and even that was bought by my friend from other country. It would be hard if I wanted to import several 1080ti over border don't you think.  Wink
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, What Next? on: July 05, 2018, 12:23:10 PM
Price of the bitcoin we see turn into green again. That chart is good example what ever happen to bitcoin even they have a lot of bad news like banning and decreasing price they recover and after weeks bitcoin is trending again and see the price become very high.
This happen in so many times this year, pump and dump and yet we are still recovering and this mean that this market will here to stay with us. The Chart is looking good, and the volume of buying is great this can be the beginning of up trend. Some other altcoins are also pumping, and now its time to move up and wait for the next price of bitcoin this month.
Maybe this is not recovering, but instead reaching true price of bitcoin. Also with increase of its price, its only matter of time before some big player decide to dump his/her coins.
Also I am not sure if we should expect big rise in bitcoins price so soon. I think that a little more time is necessary to pass before it could reach stable price over $7.5k .

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not too late to sell on: July 04, 2018, 10:58:42 PM
I think bitcoin could well reach $2,000 - $3,000 if this $6,000 support get's broken. If you would sell now chances are high you could buy back and thus double your btc holding.

This is not financial advice, just a thought.

And this is not a good year for crypto I believe. Late 2019 we'll see some action.
I guess that even selling is not wrong choice (I don't believe in wrong choices), but there could be other that is even better than selling Tongue . So far hodling has proven as best solution for those who don't know what to do. Because so far bitcoin has always survived, and after sometime it even rise some more. But something that has been happening till now doesn't mean it will continue forever. So, its a gamble that every crypto holder needs to go thru.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, What Next? on: July 04, 2018, 10:47:47 PM
Are speculating for this month or for at least the end of the year?

For this month of July I wouldn't be surprised if the price ended up to $6,000 or $8,000 - $9,000.

And for the end of the year, I'll speculate for about $20,000 - $25,000.
I think that $7000 is reasonable price for end of this month. With everything that is going on lately, I think we can expect that. Also, it would be better to have stable price of $7k, than some higher but unstable.
As for end of this year, that is something that no one can predict. Everything is possible right.  Wink

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Korean Government Formally Proposes Lifting the ICO Ban on: July 04, 2018, 09:22:02 PM
Suppose a car is manufactured with all it's features except the breaks.  Many people will still be saves provided they do not find any traffic in their way.  Or  in other words they are so lucky that they are still safe and reach their destination.
In the same way I think without some regulations; scammers will always be able to cheat others.  There should be some one who is keeping eye on their activities.  Though their powers should be limited.  With unlimited or more powers they may become dictators.
Rules and regulations need to be formed at international levels because ICOs have international reach.  World Bank may be the rule maker in this case.  Or any other new regulatory agency may be formed under whose guidance all the countries are working in this field.
Crypto currency is the currency for the future; so entire world should help develop it and remove hurdles from it's way.

we don't need regulations to prevent scams. this is a decentralized world with decentralized rules and we as a part of this decentralized system, should be able to prevent scams from happening by having more educated people who use their brains instead of their greedy emotions.

but when that clearly doesn't happen and we still have idiot newbies who continue to give away their money to ICO scammers then we need some external force to come in and clean it up for us. which is sad to be honest because it shows how the altcoin market has failed.
Before, I thought that regulations are something that could potentially be good for crypto world, and also inevitable. But now after reading what you wrote, and after some thinking I guess you could be right.
There are a lot of scammers in real life, I mean outside the crypto world. Most of people learned how to stay away from things like that, but I guess there will always be those who will not/ could not learn how to secure their investment (money). At the end, people learn best on their own mistakes.

Wanting bitcoin to be centralized is simply wrong. It was made to exclude middle man, and because of that it should stay the way it is. I understand that many people got used to old ways, but we must strive to find a better way of doing things. Maybe having centralized crypto could be good thing, but my opinion is opposite.

Haha! Said it right! People like those you've mentioned are so annoying! They love getting involved in other people's lives and have this thinking that they can make an influence already! If interfering with other people's lives could make us rich, I'm pretty sure most of us are now billionaires! Haha! Somewhat sarcastic...but true!
Majority of people will always put their noses in other people's business. Some people love to "coordinate" other peoples life, but they can't do the same for them selves...
They would rather deal with other's people problems, than to deal with their own. I guess that is some kind of escape from their life...
Its annoying that is for sure, but in the same time it is something we need to learn to live with. People like that will always exist.
