45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: November 15, 2016, 12:13:19 AM
This notice is to let you know that Uphold will be removing support for the VOX over the coming weeks.

Starting tomorrow, November 15, Uphold members will no longer be able to convert VOX to other forms of value supported by Uphold or send VOX to other Uphold members. VOX deposits will also be discontinued. Members can continue to hold and withdraw VOX until Wednesday, November 30.

We encourage you to convert your funds to any of the 29 other currencies, precious metals, and cryptocurrencies we support as soon as possible, or withdraw your VOX into another digital wallet.

Any VOX remaining in your Uphold wallet after December 10 will be converted to Bitcoin at the prevailing market rate.

To learn more about your options for moving your VOX, please contact our support team at: support@uphold.com.

For any specific questions related to VOX, please contact Voxelus directly at: info@voxelus.com.

Thank you for being a valued member,
J.P. Thieriot, Vice Chairman

What's up with VOX and Uphold?

VOX can be used on the Uphold platform and can be traded against other currencies and assets. Did you have a specific question about Uphold?

How come Uphold isn't listed on  coinmarketcap.com  ?

I have no idea, they should add it.
Uphold is a platform to to hold and trade currencies, not a coin. Why would it be on coinmarketcap.

I can give this update:

We are having a potentially big breakthrough evaluated, which is why the slight delay. We're having our inhouse mathematician as well as other experts look over it as we speak. If this optimization works, it will make IOTA a lot more efficient in several metrics. We should have the results soon and details will then be provided, if it doesn't work we simply use the old approach, either way neither decision will heavily impact release schedule, it's still for June.

Thanks for the little update, Hope it works out.

Network goes live soon. Once iota hits exchanges this offer is revoked.

did you give any IOTAs for foundation?

shouldn't that be the decision of the buyer?

It is, but it's still a fair question.
Well, what if he didn't donate? As it is voluntary, anyway, it makes no sense this question: If anyone finds it a good buy, they will simply buy these IOTAs, no matter if the seller donated or not. So, that's a nonsense question which only consequence is to make IOTA seem unattractive to potential buyers... I wonder if hurting IOTA's image is a reasonable stratgy Roll Eyes

Your signature says "proud to be a greedy speculator." You should probably know that greedy speculators are not appreciated around here. If you are one, you might want to move along. This community runs differently than most. And yes we have every right to ask if this person has donated. And if you don't like it, you can move right along.
Actually, I do not believe in Santa Claus... so... I couldn't care less Roll Eyes

On the off-chance that you're not a troll: why wouldn't you donate? What is the most likely to bring a profit to your self-proclaimed 'greedy investor' mentality, a project that collapses into stagnation or a project that has the funds to bring on board the biggest companies in the world?

I only read this damn board to try keep a track of whats going on with the development but i really hate reading most of the stuff on here. If this person is really selling X% of IOTA thats their right, freedom of choice for better or worse. I can totally understand why you would want the foundation funded sooner rather than later but lets be fair, IOTA is unfinished and not even remotely proven to work in the real world yet also correct me if im wrong here but when this does get released live it will have to be supervised for a year. So why walk before you can crawl.

I am very confident in saying that when IOTA does go live and has been battle tested you foundation will be well funded for sure.

Whats with all these newbie accounts defending this guy who is apparently selling close to 2% of IOTA but who hasn't responded to any PMs or questions in this thread? Are you all related? Brothers? Friends? The same person?

You all talk the same. And you all talk like you've been on this forum for a while. But you all have 4-9 posts. What gives?

Not here to bash, just trying to stay informed. I think this has a bright future but people need to chill the F**K out a bit.

If i decide to sell my X% and not donate do i get a personal message from the leader asking my why i didnt make the "right" choice! (Dont bother answering its rhetorical)

Stop forcing the issue, it wall happen naturally.

Can anyone tell me what the current price per IOTA is? Also... what is the market cap and total supply?

supply = 2 779 530 Giota  (Giga iota)

Total supply: 2,779,530,283,277,761.

1 KiloIota = 1 kIota = 1 000 Iota
1 MegaIota = 1 MIota = 1 000 000 Iota
1 GigaIota = 1GIota = 1 000 000 000 Iota
1 TeraIota = 1 TIota = 1 000 000 000 000 Iota

I appreciate the age old problem of Artist vs Business man. This is just my way of viewing the situation. Your crowdfunding was you "seed" round and the funding of your foundation will be your "Series A" it will happen naturally but lets not walk before we can crawl.

Reading this board always boils my blood. Why does it always have to be devs and the technical community vs lazy, greedy, speculators. It pisses me off because i don't consider myself ether of them. Im just a non technical guy that liked the project, could see its potential and invested my hard earned money. You clearly added a topic on the forum asking people to donate money to the foundation, thats cool. Its just unprofessional to change the terms and start taxing people already.

Now im a patient guy and am happy to wait as long as it takes for the project to get off the ground. I would rather you guys take your time and get it right the first time but why are average Joes like me made to feel like he has done something wrong just for investing in the project, the best thing i could of done for this project was to invest my hard earned money is that not good enough! There is only confusion and ambiguity when things are not clearly defined so whos fault is that!!!

When we got that simple little update the other day it alleviated a lot of the uncertainty for me so thank you for that.

From what i can gather you guys are doing a great job, keep it up.
