Tokens they are burning come from tokens that are lost in in the casino, and tokens that team have earmarked for burning from their own wallet. There's no indication that they would continue burning anfter those are gone, as in nowhere it says they would ever buy them from a market. It would cost them actual money, unlike their current system.

So i am not sure how this would have any possibility to raise the value. It might raise value of dividends in time (depending on the burn / issue rate), if they keep paying those. And call me a skeptic or fudder, but i wouldn't keep put much hope on that. They will most likely offer a voting change for that in the future where users have 2 bad choices to choose from. It's not like they have much cared for their users or listened to us so far.

And people who hope that BFG gets listed to any decent CEX like binance, just that one comment (among of many they have made): "Planned burnings increase the value of BFG token" means it fails Howey Test and makes it clearly a security token. That obviously means that no legit CEX would risk listing it, as they would get shit from that if they would get caught.

When i voiced my concerns about such sales pitches in very polite manner in their chat, and asked about their legal approach, i got muted and my messages deleted.
According to coinmarketcap BFG Token's market supply is more than 3 billion tokens. That's a huge number compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum, so they have a very good space left that allows them to burn millions of coins regularly. This will allow them to attract many people and take emergency measurements when coin starts falling.
I personally think that BFG offers too big APY and they won't be able to keep this coin with APY as high as 130%. Fun token, that was owned by freebitco, failed at 25% APY. At the moment Betfury stands strong but I am not sure they'll keep it up.
42  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 12, 2024, 11:54:43 AM
1. RLB - from Rollbit
2. FUN - from freebitco
3. BFG - from Betfury

Investing in casino tokens I would say comes with rather a high level of risk, why? Because to me, they arent well known, they don't seem to make waves like coins or tokens from other narratives, and the chances they may remain stagnated and the same price even during the bull run; is quite high.

So, I am brining this dicussion to the gambling community here, and I have just three questions to ask, and they are..

1. Amongst the three casino tokens I mentioned above, if you were to invest in one, which would it be?

2. Are there any new casino tokens you think will do well in this coming bull run? Please tell the community and briefly introduce the project to us..

3. Overall, how are you expecting casino tokens to perform generally, in this coming bull run.?
1. If I were to invest in one, I would invest in Rollbit because it has the best performing token at the moment and they are also active on this forum, so if anything bad happens, I know that I can have the hope that problem will be solved and bitcointalk community will help me. That's a huge bonus and motivational factor for me.

2. There are some casino tokens that sometimes pump, for example WINkLink token. This token had a very huge pump in last bull market and there might be some coins that will have a good pump in this bull market but investment in such coins is very risky because pump is not guaranteed and history shows that 99% of casino tokens fail long-term.

3. I wouldn't invest in casino tokens for the sake of investment. I would only invest in them to get exciting bonuses and some other benefits on their casino. For investment purposes I would definitely invest in coins like BTC, BNB, Matic, Eth, XMR, Solana and others.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freelancers to hire: Coinlancer.net. Anyone? on: April 12, 2024, 09:14:15 AM
If we were to assume that it is not a scam and for example, use escrow or other security measures to collaborate with them, do you think - as you know similar services - that the prices are acceptable? I noticed they have a case study, so they have probably completed some work: https://coinlancer.net/articles/case-study-franzi-gewuerzekammer
As far as I understand, you want to create a website. Alternatively, you can open a thread in Service section and write your requirements, what you want, who are you looking for and etc. I believe you'll get contacted by many talented developers and since they are on this forum, they'll accept Bitcoin or altcoin transactions and they'll be more privacy-oriented if that's the reason why you are looking for freelancers in crypto space.
You can use this thread to choose escrow for your deal - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047302
44  Other / Meta / Re: Option to Allow / Restrict merits on the OP Posts on: April 11, 2024, 05:50:29 PM
Though it does not have much use case but i think while creating a topic when there are so many options like whether it be a self-moderated thread or not, etc, why not add another option that we can restrict or allow if anyone can put merit on the post?

In general, everyone will allow the OP post to be merited but there can be situations like if any admin or mod, posts a thread he does not need merits and therefore he may restrict the post to be merited, so people and/or the merit sources do not send merits to those posts and rather give merits to ordinary people.

Let me know your comments on this idea  Smiley
What's the point of restricting merits? Whether or not someone sends you a merit, it doesn't harm you or your account. Almost every Bitcointalk member wants to receive merits, it's nice and shows you appreciation from other people. Since there will be little to no demand on OP post merit restriction, I think it isn't worth working on solving this problem. A forum should only have features that people regularly use and that the forum needs. Features that many people will not use shouldn't be added.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 11, 2024, 04:48:12 PM
Do you consider this a category of gambling game? What are the chances on long run? Skills matter, or do you have to be lucky, nevertheless?
Kind of, I mean you are staking "money" to play it. while majority of claw machines I see gives out stuff toys or candies there are some that gives out money or other valuable or expensive prizes.

anyway, claw machines are notoriously rigged, I've read articles talking about how the claw on claw machines are programed to grab tight only after certain amount of plays.
They are rigged as hell. When I was a kid, claw machines and other similar machines were very popular, especially the one where you had to put the coin and you would receive nothing or it would be randomly multiplied and available for withdrawal. I had a stroke of very good luck on both machines, I remember my father was thirsty and I won a beer on the claw machine, he was very happy. I also had a moment in my life when I won so much on one of these machines during my childhood that they banned me and prohibited my father from bringing me these machines, I clearly remember those days.

I personally consider claw machines a category of gambling because it's very similar to slots machine, you put the coin and then you depend on your luck, you might win something or not, just like in slots.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: April 11, 2024, 12:37:15 PM
I have many relatives in Russia because I am from a post-soviet state. I don't know whats other's experience but many people say that situation isn't terrible in Russia as western media wants to make it but at the same time it's not good too but they say that Moscow is well as usual.
At the same time, there are people who say that Europe is weakening and they are hungry. I have many relatives and friends in Europe too because my country is alive thanks to emigrants who send money from Russia and Europe. Absolutely every immigrant that I know says that situation in EU is not as bad as some media paints. My relative in Spain says that rent and life is getting expensive there, the sam in Italy but all of my friends who live in Germany, Sweden, Norway and Ireland say that life is still good there, there is an inflation but salaries are increasing too.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network: A failure? on: April 11, 2024, 12:01:05 PM
It's been years since the Lightning Network was launched, yet adoption has been quite slow. Most people are still transacting on-chain, despite the fact that sometimes network fees increase to undesirable levels due to the Ordinals hype. The L2 scaling solution promised to boost mainstream adoption for BTC with its ultra-low fees and blazing-fast speeds. It's still flawed, despite being established for a few years now.

What do you think? Is the LN a failure? If not, why? Should we give it more time to mature? What is the main reason most exchanges, merchants and/or businesses haven't adopted it yet?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Recently there was an article published about bitcoin developers losing faith in lighting network - https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2024/04/02/are-bitcoin-developers-losing-faith-in-lightning/

For me, the lighting network is very impractical and its usage and adoption prove that it failed. Payment should be easy, not hard. It also shouldn't give you a headache. On Electrum I need at least 2 .mBTC to open a channel. The largest channel you can open is 10 BTC and I find it complicated for average Joe to create a lighting channel, deposit and then send/receive money with it. It's not really that hard but why should you use LN when you have Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal...?
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing poker online better than offline? on: April 10, 2024, 12:55:01 PM
I often watch poker videos on YouTube where the player have very good acting to hiding his cards through his flat face. I have seen them being able to win with very bad cards on their hand with a good bluff, all in his chips. So I imagine, and often play poker online, I am very happy if I get a good card and I can't hide it well so just go all in all my chips. So what do you think?, how do other players know when I have good cards when playing online?, Is by check and don't call the bet they know we don't have a good card?, I'm not good at hiding it, sometime when I have double AS, I always all in at the beginning.
Real life poker might be a better experience than online poker because you play in real life with real people and that's different from sitting in front of your desktop. I have played online poker many times and I still play it in local online casino and from my experience, it's very hard to bluff online because players sit and go very frequently, you can't also risk all-in frequently. I only found online poker good and easy to bluff when you play on tournaments where fixed number of players get the same number of chips in the beginning. This way, no one will come and leave the table like they do on open tables. Such a tournament makes it easier to bluff. Spin poker is also another good option.
49  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |SLOTS|SPORTS|ESPORTS| JACK Token on: April 10, 2024, 12:10:47 PM
Many things have changed on Blackjack.fun, I haven't visited this website since Covid pandemic ended and I am very impressed, I wasn't expecting to see a complete casino. I was expecting to see an improved blackjack game app. Now there are Sports, eSports, Games, Live Games, slots, etc... added on the website. BlackJack game still feels the same (I bet the font is the same). Btw congrats on your achievement, this website grew from blackjack oriented website to a completed casino and most importantly the UI/UX design is different from competitors that gives blackjack.fun a unique vibe but I would love to see a light version of theme.

So, I reckon you guys saw this ===> https://www.cnbcafrica.com/2024/zimbabwe-relaunches-currency-in-latest-inflation-fight/

The Central Bank Governor says, “We want a solid and stable national currency in this country” ... sure, but for how long, until it slides into infinity.

The ZiG are backed by a basket of foreign currencies and gold and ZiG is short for Zimbabwe Gold. 🤔
There is a good quote from one of the most famous anime: "It's pointless to increase the number of heads if they're all empty". They are re-launching their national currency for the sixth time in 44 years. Their first Zimbabwean dollar was launched in 1980, their sixth ZWL is getting launched soon. Six currency failed in 44 years, this means that they should stop printing an unlimited supply of money and there will be no inflation. Also, they have to work on their high corruption to lower it, reward students who study science and math, attract investors and etc...
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you depend on game predictions by supercomputers? on: April 09, 2024, 05:36:39 PM
We are in an era where artificial intelligence and supercomputers can perform many tasks accurately. We have reports of some AI tools passing law school examinations and some of them have performed some complex surgeries in the medical field. With these technological tools, the word impossible is gradually becoming obsolete.

In the betting or gambling sector, there has been an increase in the use of technology to make the game more interesting and profitable. Recently there has been news of a SuperComputer that can carry out complex simulations and give game predictions. Based on the Opta supercomputer prediction, Liverpool is the favorite to win the EPL with 45%,  Manchester City with 33.6% while Arsenal has a 21.4% chance.

While in the Champions League, the SuperComputer had predicted that Atletico Madrid has the slimmest chance of winning with just 5% chance while Manchester City has the biggest chance with 41.2%.

Do you think these predictions are reliable?

Further reading
Opta supercomputer predicts Man City and Arsenal's chances of winning the Champions League as Real Madrid leapfrog European giants in latest analysis

A supercomputer is tracking one of most exciting soccer title races for years. It keeps coming up with different predictions

Do you remember during ICO time how many companies were abusing words - blockchain, cryptocurrency, innovation, decentralization and etc...? In 2024 it's the word AI that's abused. How does the AI (supercomputer) predicts who will win the Champions League or Premier League? We enter old and recent statistics into it, we give a different coefficient to different values of statistics and then the computer mathematically calculates which team will more likely win the game according to given statistics. That's how it works, it can't magically predict anything.
I amn't gonna make myself dependant on predictions generated by supercomputer but they worth the check. They can process given data very well and save much time.
52  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Uptime Website Status on: April 09, 2024, 03:59:40 PM
I just created a webpage for uptime status monitor for bitcointalk. It might not be so useful everyday but it will be soon Smiley

This works on visiting the forum website for 1 minute interval and capture response time and status code in every visit.
Status code >=200 && <300 is good while >=300 && <=511 is bad which always considered as downtime error.

The Current status will show if the website is Up (Operational) or down (Downtime) with green and red indicators.

It will record and show the last 30 60 days of uptime status of the website in desktop mode and 30 days in mobile mode.

Screen capture
~snip~
URL: https://pxzone.online/uptime/bitcointalk
Github: https://github.com/pxzone/pxzone.online
I'm truly proud that so many members care about this forum. Bitcointalk merit notifier, bpip.org, loyce's tools, others and now this. If so many members will unite and theymos gives them some funding, we will have a good team that will probably finish epochtalk. I personally can work on UI/UX side, this is my profession.

OP your website is nice and I love the features but what will happen if somehow your server goes down for some minutes? Does that count as a downtime for Bitcointalk in the charts history? Or it will show a delay in chat?
53  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 09, 2024, 03:46:57 PM
Hello to everyone in bitcointalk forum , i want to share my experience and great loss in 1xBet Casino so that others try to avoid this at all cost .

I gambled at 1xbet for 3 years , i choose my country (IRAN) when i registered , after months i foundout my country of account is changed to "Bangladesh" , i asked the support staff about it and even asked them to change it back to IRAN and they refused .
They did this because they don't want to get in trouble with authorities and regulatory bodies about providing direct financial and B2C services to "Prohibited and sanctioned countries by international FATF/AML laws" .
Instead of informing players from IRAN to withdraw their money (since they don't accept them anymore) they changed their country to somewhere else !

This is completely illegal and by this action alone , a good lawyer can surely revoke their license in curaçao .

After they realize that you are from a 3rd world (sanction + prohibited) country , they will let you play if you lose , but if you win they refuse to pay you , they rejected 6 of my betslips after i won them all , i reached to their support and this is their answer "we can change any bets outcome anytime we want without informing player by our T&C rules" , this is very very unfair !!

I as a gambling addict said whatever and played in that casino for more , and that's where the real problem begins , i lost 1.4M USD in 2 nights .

I had every right to ask for a refund and closure of my account from 1xbet based on : 1. i am Iranian , i provided my iranian documents and choose iran as my country in 1xbet , and 1xbet fully verified my account with iranian documents and Country . This alone is illegal cause gambling is prohibited in iran and Also Iran is in banlist Of curaçao for gambling (which is where 1xbet got their license from) .
2. 1xbet changed my country to Bangladesh deliberately and refused to change it back to IRAN by my request .
3.i won many USD but everytime i won 1xbet refused my bets and every time i lost they were ok with it .

I submitted a complaint in CEG regulatory and they ruled in favor of 1xbet because i missed a god damn email and couldn't be there to defend myself in the appropriate time , they ruled in 1xbet's favor without me participating or defending or providing evidence , i provided evidence and screenshots many times after that but they ignored all my emails .

And after all these , 1xbet completely deleted my account with little funds still in there and ignoring all my emails .

I need a good lawyer in curaçao (expert in e-gaming) to bring this to court .
1xbet also refuses to send my betting + transaction history .

You can see the whole complaint against them with evidence here :
https://casinoguru-int.com/en/1xbet-casino-player-s-account-was-deleted-without
What they did is absolutely illegal but is it legal for you to gamble too? As far as I know, gambling of any kind is prohibited under Iranian law and you, as an Iran citizen, shouldn't have gambled at all. I think both, you and casino did illegal thing. Since you afford to lose 1.4 million dollars, I think you will be able to get a very good lawyer and before hiring them, I think you can get free consulting from many lawyers. You shouldn't start looking for lawyer on this forum because many scammers will contact you and try to steal money from you. Crypto and especially crypto casinos are something that lawyers have no idea.
It's better for you to gamble at no-kyc casinos.
54  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Sparrow Bitcoin Wallet on: April 09, 2024, 02:49:23 PM
Now the problem is that it takes almost one day to download the wallet while filesize is up to 98 MB. For some reasons, their servers don't let me to download it with normal internet speed and limit my download speed significantly.
I just downloaded it now and it took roughly 20 minutes to download with my personal internet connection. I do not think it is their server limiting your download speed and surely not intentionally. Could be an overload on available connections on the web server or some other reason.
Try clearing your cache and try again.
20 minutes is too much for 98 MB file unless you are using a cheap DSL internet with low speed and I personally use fiber optic and my speed is 100 Mbps. It should be downloaded in seconds instead of hours.
I finally managed to download it in one hour instead of a day. Thanks god, speed improved a little.

Maybe you experienced some temporary or local Github connectivity issues. And nobody except you can know what's going on in your local network.

20min for the download of ~100MB doesn't sound any fast either, but Eleutheria didn't mention any details of personal internet connection. Such a download time could happen when you only have something like 1MBit/s downstream.
Today I tried to download Sparrow Wallet again and the speed was improved but there were limits on download. There is definitely a problem on their side. I'll try to contact them and let them know about this issue.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: April 09, 2024, 02:19:31 PM
Al Hilal and Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League had an extremely exciting match that was much more bone-chilling. In this most competitive match both teams tried hard but Al Hilal team was successful, winning 2-1. Anyway, the game was very competitive between the two teams, but Al Nasir's team tried hard but could not bring the game to a consensus and they lost. And Cristiano Ronaldo's red card it really angered the audience because no one expected a player like Ronaldo to get a red card. I didn't watch the game till the end, but Ronaldo's red card in the 86th minute is difficult, otherwise maybe attacking until the last minute could have leveled the game. But Al Hilal team is in the best form in the current season, and they are strong enough to win the title, and maybe they will be champions in the coming days.

It's a shame that once a legendary footballer who was always competing against Messi, a footballer who was playing in Real Madrid and was the star of this team, a person with the most Instagram followers... It's a shame that he acts like a kid. He wanted to punch the referee in the face. If it was once, that's okay, that sometimes happens and we all get angry but I watch his matches and his these actions are getting very regular. He needs to retire, his time is gone and he shouldn't get mad at others about it.

On the other hand, Ronaldo's behavior in this match was unfortunate because he elbowed one of the Al-Hilal players and we know that the Al-Hilal defender was repeatedly caught on camera provoking the star players. We still remember how Ali Albulayhi's behavior provoked Lionel Messi during the match against Argentina or some time ago during the Asian Cup match against South Korea when he behaved impolitely towards Son Heung Min.

So it is not surprising that he knew that Ronaldo was a very emotional person, so he carried out this provocative action and made Ronaldo get the red card. Well, despite all that, Al-Hilal managed to overthrow Al-Nassr and advance to the final round of the super cup.
Yes, he was provoked but he should keep in mind that he has to be more mature and should not react to provocations, especially on matches like this that are against one of the biggest rival of your team, red card in games like this are very dangerous because your team then plays with 10 players. Everyone knows what Ronaldo is very emotional and everyone plays on his nerves, including fans too. They chant Messi all the time to drive Ronaldo crazy. Saudi fans are brutal.

And it will be awesome if he is a member of our community.

In any case, congrats to him, value at $10,000, that is a huge win and we also have to thank of course Metawin for another successful promotion.
Someone called Nobody.eth won 3 Ethereums. This user is a member of metawin since 2022 and I can't find anyone with this name on Bitcointalk, so I think he is not our community member but there is a chance he is our member and uses a different username.

58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 07, 2024, 12:32:18 PM
JUST IN: 🇸🇻 President Bukele announces a plan to provide 5,000 free passports as part of program to attract highly skilled scientists, engineers, doctors, artists, and philosophers from abroad.
Source Link
They will facilitate relocation by offering 0% taxes and tariffs on moving assets.
Today (Bitcoin News) a news has been published that El Salvador will distribute 5000 visas to users in Bitcoin for free. This is a good sign and I like this strategy a lot, every strategy that Nayib Bukhele has adopted has been successful.
Bukele is very serious about his country, it's almost impossible these days to find a dictator who takes care of his country, every dictator only abuses people. Bukele is really the cool one. Highly skilled scientists, engineers, doctors and people from other major fields help the country in developing, they are the core who drive countries forward and improve our lives but I am still frightened about people who plan to move in El Salvador because it's a very dangerous country. According to travel.state.gov, El Salvador is a Level 3 (Reconsider Travel) country.

According to a domain name, it looks like PokerFi is a Brazilian project. I tried to visit pokerfi.com.br but I can't access the website, it gives me error 1016, origin DNS error. Also two of your ANN thread images are missing and please fix that.

This coin has been here since 2021 as we can see in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pokerfi/

I'm just curious, why is this altcoin is not yet listed in a decent exchange? And here they now make an ANN thread, why it had not happen in the past.
Can OP tell more about this project as this looks like a dead project that was recently reborn to me, please correct me if I'm wrong.
This coin ranks #4664 on Coinmarketcap, basically a dead coin, so no normal exchange would list it but as you mentioned, it's really curious that this project exists since 2021 and this is the first time we see ANN thread.

OP you are very welcome, I can't wait to access your website, register and start playing poker because you have a very good Poker software. Crypto community really needs a good poker website.
For anyone being curious, here is the video of how their poker game looks: https://twitter.com/i/status/1726260651444556066
60  Economy / Gambling / Re: House Edge on: April 07, 2024, 10:45:06 AM
Both Stake and BCH.games have popular games such as Mines, Tower, Crash, and Target (notably referred to as Limbo on Stake). Stake's platform indicates a house edge of 1% for these games, whereas BCH.games lists a house edge of 2%.

Given that both platforms games are provably fair, I'm curious about the source of the discrepancy in house edge rates. Specifically, does the increased house edge at BCH.games stem solely from the monetary requirements to win (e.g., needing to roll above a 50.99 on BCH.games for a 2x win in Target)?

How does this variation in house edge impact other games like Mines, Tower, and Crash? Are the dynamics similar, or is there another mechanism at play influencing the difference in house edge between the two platforms?
House Edge gives casinos an advantage over you. 1% house edge means that casino has a mathematical (1%) advantage over you and casino is a guaranteed winner for long-term. 2% house edge simply means that it has more advantage over you and long-term casino with 2% house edge will collect more profits than casino with 1% house edge.
If you want to have fun and long-lasting gambling experience, it's better to choose casino with the lowest house edge. 1% is the standard and you'll rarely find any casino with lower house edge.

Mines, Towers, Crash, etc... You should manually check their house edge on casino or contact their support.
