Top Gun Maverick is pretty superb.
Probably one of the best blockbuster sequels ever.

A recommended watch.

Watched the trailer, did not see fancy F-22 in it, will pass and wait for download.

After Warren Buffet's statements about the BTC

Warren Buffet and this guy Jorge have to be the biggest hodlers in BTC.......The more you deny an asset the more likely you are to be suppressing the price for your own gains.

Mark Cuban owner of Dallas Mavericks and Shark on Shark Tank TV series was completely a naysayer until one day, Bitcoin was a great investment!

It's possible that Warren Buffett is secretly buying bitcoin, and BRK will one day announce a huge position. bet is on Warren (or someone like him) being the next "clown show" during a new bull run.

Here's how it would go down:

1. Price starts to run up bigly.

2. Warren Buffett 'begrudgingly' announces that he/BRK took a huge position in bitcoin, is somewhat optimistic, but still doesn't quite understand it.

3. Price runs up more, then eventually bubble tops.

4. Warren announces that he is going to divest from his bitcoin position, because a) it's a useless commodity, b) uses too much energy, c) he still doesn't get it, or d) all of the above.

5. Price crashes.

It would pretty much follow the same clown show script as the Elon Musk pump and dump shitshow that we got last year. If not Warren, it'll be someone like him, someone very publicly visible. Maybe Bill Gates, etc. TPTB always need a new bullish 'patsy' during a new bull run.

Nice script, however, both Warren and Charlie are more than one leg into their graves. I highly doubt it will happen Smiley

In which country it is already Jan 8th, 2022, as of right now, it's only Jan 6th 3:50pm EST. Is he a time traveler?

Past few days, whoever waking up means dump, so we are waiting for the west coast to wake up to give it the final blow?  Grin
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thank God, XRP Ripple going to crap on: December 24, 2020, 01:46:40 AM
Ethereum has been riding on bitcoin's coat tail for too long, time to cut that crap also.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 07, 2020, 12:22:17 AM
If I can live to be 220 years old and witness the price of bitcoin would be a dream.

As far as I can tell, many Biden supporters in PA actually made to 220 years old so far: sort by birthdate and you will see  Grin

Price will skyrocket in this case. Investors would discover that laws and policy based regulations are inferior comparing to a solution regulated by math.

Manipulations happens on everything speculative, however, in bitcoin world, there are only so much whales can manipulate, and in many parts their actions are visible as transactions in the public ledger.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a pump going on? on: May 24, 2017, 02:09:57 PM
It's actually the fiat bubble popping.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500,000 per Bitcoin, baby. The math behind it. on: May 15, 2017, 07:00:55 PM
^Agree. Targets in my head about bitcoins for '27 are ~$10K. So this story has some logic.  Grin

I am quite positive that in 2027 price of BTC will be way over $10k.  for that only 2 bubbles are needed. I expect we will see at least 3.

Will be at $10k by 2022 just in linear growth, should be around $100k by 2027.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF - decision 15th May - Time and place on: May 14, 2017, 12:25:12 AM
Bought some after the March rejection. Keep getting ETF denied so I can scope more in the post denial dips.

What's up with ethereum? Huh
It's still rising

People are stupid.

Yea, I think ethereum will be dumped pretty hard once bitcoin gets proper news time and really gets going

That's people thinking eth will go up to where bitcoin is right now. I mean give them a chance Cheesy

I see most ETH people are those believe in authoritative figures that missed Bitcoin train. ETH is perfect for them. Human stupidity is infinite after all.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Learn from others mistakes. Hodl on: March 03, 2017, 02:49:01 PM
Two 20-somethings create a phone app in their basement that allows young people to send stupid, inane or lewd pictures or video to each other, that then self-destruct in 30 seconds so their parents can't see it.

And now the U.S. market suddenly thinks that this 'great innovation' given to the world is worth $20B overnight?Huh

Yeah. That happened.

So the point is, don't HODL SnapChat (or Twitter).

HODL Bitcoin instead.  Wink

You nailed it, SNAP is much worse than WhatsApp, yet the market reacted with $20B valuation, WTF!? All I can say is human stupidity is infinite.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Parity watch -> Who's next? on: March 02, 2017, 04:14:24 PM

Looks like the CIA database of M1 has been updated as at 2017-12-31 ... unsurprisingly a lot of these countries have inflated their money supplies (as measured in USD  Cheesy ) so some of the countries that bitcoin had surpassed have now got 'bigger' money stocks. Isn't money wonderful when you can just print it out of thin air like that! So bitcoin needs to run faster just to stay still it seems  Wink

bitcoin is now back below Burma at position 69 with $18.2 billion M1, i.e stock of narrow money.

Just for fun:
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Spike Over 65% After Winkelvoss ETF on: February 23, 2017, 03:19:03 PM
Some of my friends want to get into bitcoin, and I told them to prepare to buy the dip after March 11. How far the knife is going to fall, it's hard to tell, but at least some are prepared to catch it.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic selling started ! on: January 05, 2017, 02:41:00 PM
Was hoping the dip come at the month end when my pay check comes. This is too early.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would you consider a new ATH? on: January 05, 2017, 01:58:27 AM
Mt.Gox ATH + 5% inflation over the years is the true new ATH.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: November 02, 2016, 04:13:17 PM
Government jobs are where incompetent management meet lazy workers. That's what we get in terms of public services. Quality of services we receive various by the countries, but I believe it's the common behavior globally.

Is this sustainable long term?
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: November 01, 2016, 03:29:59 PM
We are all still very early stage in the journey.

No idea really. I don't watch the German news because I don't speak German. I avoid the US news because it's depressing.

I do know that my landlord started pulling some money out of the bank and holds more cash than he used to. And he's very open to taking bitcoins for rent. He's actually the perfect Bitcoin user. I pay him bitcoins in rent and he's a pilot for Lufthansa so he flies to other countries a lot. He goes to the US and uses Gyft to buy gift cards for just about everywhere he goes. Mainly Home Depot, Target, Whole Foods and some restaurants. He loves it. He used to use his PayPal credit card that charged him a huge exchange fee whenever he used it in the US.

Deutsche Bank canceled my account with them so they can crash and burn for all I care.

Thank you Elwar for these observations. Perhaps we can monitor the output of the safe box makers as the potential Weimar II happening.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 11, 2016, 04:38:01 PM
Noticed Bitstamp is not on Bitcoinity under top USD exchanges. Did their volume drop or something? Less than GDAX(?)?

Elwar, if you are still in Germany, could you please tell us bit more about your observations regarding Deutsche Bank? If local Germans started to worry about their savings with DB? Bank run starting? Or they are still calm, expecting a bail-in to happen again?
