IM AM EXCITED, Who is excited to be apart of the BIGGEST REVOLUTION SINCE the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn0W_qdGKdc&t=235s

This is from Clif High report in Sept

At the crossing of 1% global human awareness, cryptocurrencies will slip into mainstream thought, taking it over completely for years thereafter.
At 3%, the technology of cryptocurrencies will cross the chasm into mainstream adoption globally.

The rate of transfer of planetary wealth stored in cryptocurrencies will escalate from that point forward. Between 1% and 3% of awareness, the giant global banking liquidity freeze up will occur. Major political organizations at all levels globally, including many nation-states, will fail and collapse. Chaos will ensue within the dying system. It has taken 8/eight years to reach the 1% temporal marker. Our data forecasts that it will take 8/eight months more to reach 2%, and 8/eight weeks beyond that to reach the 3% market

It took us 8 years to hit 1% global awareness in Sept

and its taken us 8 months to hit 2% by April

by another 8 weeks it will hit 3% global awareness in June

After that point, Snowball

Holy Heck, I didnt know about this project and token. I have been stuffing about putting 50 BTC into NEO and this Monaco project has a real use case about to launch. Selling NEO, bye !
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen IF the Lightning Network succeeds? on: January 28, 2018, 08:18:24 PM
Bitcoin has the best "Brand", it is so well known that it will continue up and up.
Sure don't mind the idea of a bit of centralization in LN if that is how it has to be, use the BTC network as normal for moving large sums, use LN when it benefits smaller amounts. No problem for many of us.
So currently LN has a couple of bugs, they will get sorted, they wouldn't release something that had not been massively tested and I am sure that the technology is known to work very well at a huge load.
Half way into 2018 we will be very happy with the obvious outcome, there will be much more news of retail use.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: October 10, 2017, 02:29:27 AM
I love it when monaco debit card wanna be fans make fud here Wink  TenX will grow slow and steady, instead monaco is just a bubble. After this october/november you will see what i mean...

This is very funny, I was sent my TenX card months ago, now it is cancelled because I am outside the EU.
TenX is a working system, I have not seen any TenX advertising/marketing anywhere, I am told this is because of the type of Visa pathway TenX has chosen. Gee that alone seems to be a bit of a clanger.

I don't think the team members nor the advisers have/had the experience to steer this project in a preferable direction.
Monacos direction is soon to see an Atomic Bomb of marketing.

TenX pressing the reset button on Oct 16th

May the best dressed win !

I can't barely even understand what does it seem supposed to "Select no more than 5 boards at a time". I'm having a hard time figuring out on this, it does hard to search on bitcoin's search engine. I can't find topics which I was lost to read, and now I wanted to read them again Sad They need to fix this soon out.
It's the usual lack of time spent on explaining things they dont want you to do as you are supposed to "just know" wtf is going on. Very poor software always has these types of issues as they just cant be bothered taking another couple of steps to show people. This is evident by the fact more than one person asks the same question. You would wonder why even dangle the carrot with a search box if this is the only result. Talk about "folks are dumb where I come from" type of programming.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 24, 2017, 10:53:04 PM
New Credit Cards projects keep coming, this means it's still a huge market to work on. First who will conquer most part of the market will be big winner (and it's investors!).

Yes absolutely true. Tenx and Token Card were on the scene before Monaco and they have better project team and friendlier customer services than Monaco

"They have better project team and friendlier customer service"  How are you quantifying this statement? in some ways it is very subjective.

I am invested in Monaco / Tokencard and will probably buy some Tenx as well on their new card models but I can't say with absolute certainty which has the better project team as I haven't really seen them in action yet.  Despite Tenx having a working product they have been around a little while but haven't exactly set the world on fire and then rebranded their card.  They have all had recent ICO'S and need time to show their metal.

In about a year or so when all three are up and running and hopefully are making larger inroads with real growth / income stats to show trajectories then I might be more confident ranking them.

They all have potential and I am sure each has talented techs working for them.

I have found Kris from Monaco to be very friendly and responsive to questions.  At this time I haven't been conversing with the others but do not think they would be any different.

If Kris is very helpful to you then good for you but it would be nice for regular updates given here with specific answers to specific question no matter how tedious good old Kris and his team find them because people have invested and deserve some respect.

When good old Kris and his team wanted to raise the $21 million they were very active as they could see the carrot being dangled in front of them but since they now have access to the money raised they are not so helpful to other. When you next speak to Kris please tell him to be helpful to other too and just to you. Thanks.

Yes, imagine having a small team and being so busy that you cannot afford the time for the hundred or so people who never heard nor bothered to check the advised news update period. Also imagine that I am the competition just waiting for blow by blow details of what Monaco Card are doing. I suppose it would be more correct to be swamped by fleas asking the same questions over and over because these fleas feel their handed over money justifies such continuous distraction. I guess they could hire more blonde and pretty question answering people chewing up your funds , no thanks, I'd rather that they stay much quieter and get on with the task they outlined. Don't waste time pandering to the whims of those that think something has happened each day and that they should jump into each forum to report to the newbie investor type. Small team, they are f..king busy, I would be busy, most with any knowledge know they are busy, they said there should be updates every fucking 2 weeks, this is what they said, find it, read it, understand why, not too hard to figure out.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GROUPBUY 6 - Giant Plus - 2000MHS - $4000 open on: July 23, 2017, 08:12:19 PM
Based on Bitmains D3 at $2699 and cracking along at 15Ghz

$2699 / 15 GHz = $179.93 per GHz

So  179.93 x (Baikals 2GHz) means the Baikal price should be $359 per unit if you ignore power and algo differences

Getting the Baikals early doesnt outrun the price difference if you have to wait for the Bitmain D3

Looked at the Innosilicon A5, they claim they are not able to track the Bitcoin price to be able to ask for the correct BTC that equals the $10000 they want at the time of order. Really !

They also have a shared payment bitcoin address, very risky.

I'm a dumbshit programmer and even I have managed to offer a floating BTC value for a fixed dollar amount and can generate a new bitcoin address on the fly in my online payments.
How can they be so useless ?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 03, 2017, 11:25:46 PM
So Monaco charge 1% fee for a card transaction. What about Visa? How much are they getting % wise from the Monaco Card.

Do Monaco give the Visa company the Monaco card holders details, if any, each transaction?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL asic mine 2000MH/s on: June 29, 2017, 09:50:39 PM
Well, with such a profitable miner that is capable of switching algos and making a large amount of money per day, they have no reason to sell it overseas with added electrical cost when they can sell the miner to those in China. It's sad but true, they might even be mining with it themselves.
This is what I said about the giveaway price of the big iBelink, why sell it if in two weeks or less it has paid for the cost price of the components, they dont need to sell it at that price and could have easily asked 2x or 3x and still would be attractive, or more believable.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LEGIT or QUIT List of Safe retailers on: June 22, 2017, 06:01:07 AM
UNKNOWN

AsicMinerMarket.com - Adding this site to the unknowns... they SEEM very legit, mainly because they sell out a LOT, so if they ARE scammers, they're missing out on a lot of fake sales. Right now, the only miner not sold out is a 3.6 T A6... which would make you about 5 dollars in profit a month, so it makes sense they'd have a surplus... BUT I've never bought from them personally.

I purchased from the guy at asicminermarket, got the goods, very painless fast experience but now he must be suffering not being able to get stock.

pathetic company
If X11 returns drop I am sure Baikal will suddenly have stock to sell.

Of course if they do I think they would discover less enthusiasm overall
11  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 18, 2017, 08:13:25 PM
Thinking further is there a function or can we add a function to trim the saved history to a user nominated value, say "keep last 20 transactions" and then the file gets trimmed.
Not sure if such a thing is possible.
Not possible. Electrum has to use your transaction history to calculate your address balance and script the transaction. If you were to prune the transactions, Electrum has to query the servers repeatedly and this is rather inefficient.

If you have such a powerful rig, you should consider a full node, like Bitcoin Core. Unlike Electrum, it doesn't have to query the servers which creates a bottleneck. By doing this, you are also helping to save the resources that would otherwise be used. Electrum is honestly not designed for heavy usage.
Yes but Bitcoin core does not have built in re-broadcast and the layout of Core is woeful. I do use it but, terrible really.

I thought an electrum transaction prune could happen if it totals up the ones it prunes and puts that in the file as a subtotal and then works with that and the handful of latest transactions. If past transactions are done and dusted, obviously they cannot change so it should be ok to represent the past as an added up subtotal, I assume if one were to kill the file for some reason and have to start over it again would repopulate the file with all the transactions by syncing and again do a prune to cut it back.
For a pruned file the sync would see the date stamp of the prune and where to start looking.

Damn.

13  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 18, 2017, 10:02:38 AM
You'll probably find that it is because this time you left the "Encrypt Wallet" option checked when setting the wallet password. If the wallet is encrypted, you need the password to decrypt it before the program can read it Wink

if it isn't encrypted, the main interface comes up straight away, but you obviously need the password to sign transactions etc (keys are always encrypted, regardless of whether or not the wallet file is)

If you goto: Wallet -> Password... put in a new password and uncheck the "Encrypt Wallet" and then restart, you'll find it won't come up with the "Install Wizard" Wink

Thank you for the assistance and your above comment appears to be correct.

Getting back to the problem of a non starting / hanging / acting weird Electrum wallet, I pulled everything out again and started fresh, paid for Malwarebytes because I freaked out but really there is no virus.
My hunch of what the problem is I think relates to my usage of Electrum.
Electrum is perfect for what I do, it has a non-pansy display with just text and has the features I need to push transactions thru faster and I can see what is going on with them within the app.

My usage involves trading, all day, every day, and in the past two months there would be, god knows how many, back and forth transactions with Electrum with just the one wallet.
I did some testing of a new install of Electrum and let it give me a new seed of words, Electrum works fine, opens, syncs, exits, just like before.
I then created a new wallet with the current install and gave it my original seed, totally different story in the way electrum works.

New Electrum wallet = 2KB in size

My problem Original wallet = 8983KB found out after it finished a new sync that it stores a ton of crap, I assume this will just try to get bigger.

I think this has something to do with the problem.

I have also noticed that Electrum struggles to open or show any window when starting up if that large wallet file resides in the wallet directory, as if it is doing some sort of pre-opening of each wallet to check what format they are perhaps. When I delete the large wallet, that issue goes away.
If the original wallet file has never synced before, electrum of course will open as the file starts life as only 2KB but once it has synced, if I re-start electrum, bang, it hates that big file then.

While I have a ton of Ram, 64Gb in a new Dual Xeon, the problem seems to relate to how the software is coping with tons of data, obviously wants to load the whole lot.

This tends to be somewhat disappointing as I feel that what is happening here for me is that I will get maybe two months of trading and then have to create a fresh wallet of addresses and swap to that.
Its annoying because there are backup printouts to change, addresses on other sites sending to my wallet to change.
Not convenient but to keep the features Electrum offers I will put up with that and just do regular wallet changes, perhaps using a date range as the name of the wallet file.
I do wonder how other wallets handle high usage or perhaps they do not try to join the dots so to speak and do not try to load past events.

To tell the truth I am pretty happy I discovered this and I can go on using it knowing it's got limits.

Comments ?
14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 17, 2017, 10:10:24 PM
Yeah, that is just the password entry for your wallet. The dialog is just misnamed as it isn't an install wizard haha.

How long have you let Electrum sit after entering the password and pressing next? My wallet comes up almost immediately after entering the password. I'm assuming you are running version 2.8.2, right? If not, please try updating to see if it fixes the issue.

Yes I have the latest version prior to the issue and tried downloading the same version again and tried that.
Apparently the window that pops up (above post) is normal and my assumption is that it comes up each time you start it by what you guys are saying, well on my PC and another PC I just retired it does not, same version (before the issue arose) Electrum would start up into the main interface only. I get asked for a wallet password when I send Bitcoin out
15  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 17, 2017, 10:06:03 PM
You mean this one right?

that is "normal"... it is a poorly named dialog, but it will come up everytime you start Electrum... it is really just the password entry screen for your wallet Wink

Not sure why it is "hanging" after you enter your password though... is your wallet really massive or something? Do you have thousands and thousands of transactions in it? Did you set it up to put your wallet on low speed storage like a usb thumb drive or something? or maybe it is a hardware issue and your hard drive is failing? Huh

Yes that is the dialog window and the last million times I started Electrum after the initial setup (when it was working normally), this window never came up. Are you saying that this always comes up for you each time you start it?, well it never used to for me it just went straight into the main interface until a couple of days ago.
Something very odd about that, I dont see the need for the dialog since I used to get asked my password when I sent each transaction.
16  Bitcoin / Electrum / Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 16, 2017, 08:40:40 PM
I had been using Electrum for 6 months and has been working fantastic, then quite out of the blue I went in to the sending tab to set up a bitcoin transfer, something odd in that send tab page was a lined frame around the lower half of the window (something to do with invoices?) which from memory is normally blank, never seen that before, set up the normal send details and clicked send, but it didnt do anything. Exited electrum, restarted and a different window came up "Electrum - Install Wizard" telling me my default_wallet was enrypted and to enter the password (should already know that, I set it up), I do that and click next, nothing happens, hangs there forever.
Unintall electrum, remove the electrum data files by hand manually, check for viruses, restart the PC.
Install electrum, enter the seed and password, going again, electrum very slow to update from the servers but eventually shows my bitcoin. Great. Lets re-test it.
Exit electrum re-start electrum, pops up the same install wizard window telling me the default_wallet is encrypted, entered the password for it again and clicked next, then it hangs again doing nothing.
Why is that install wizard coming up after I have fully installed correctly, why might it hang? I've not installed anything else that may have interfered with it.
Is there a log that could have recorded something?
Latest version, fairly new Xeon PC, tons of ram. I keep checking for viruses and reinstalling electrum but always now same result.
5 full removal and install attempts, installs seem to work each time and seems usable if I do not exit that first start up but always a restart has this bizzare problem and it wont go.
All other software works well, I have had to switch to Exodus just so I can have a working wallet.
I like Electrum because of the replace by fee and custom fee features, got to have it back.
Any Ideas what the hell is going on ?

I would buy one or more right now if the price was $12000 to $15000 each.
Does anyone have a theory why they want buyers to have such a lottery win ?
If you were the manufacturer and your costs were returned in 14 days of running each unit, why do you want the hassle of selling and shipping, why not just run them yourself?

Because manufacturing something new costs money, they need pre order money to build the stock.
It is not entirely new at all plus if it was the competitions price gets nowhere near it, they could charge double and it would look like a bargain still, but they don't. Why not ?

Are you saying they cannot afford to make one unit without somebody paying them $6750 ?
Can they run the one they have for 14 days? If so, then the next unit is paid for, run that one, pay for another, don't sell them, no need to, we are rolling in exponential dash riches.
Seems to me they are give aways almost.

Put me down for 38 units.

LOL, too good to be true.

Kilo, I just made some calculation and seems that this is very profitable based on calculation here: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/dash?HashingPower=10.8&HashingUnit=GH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=850&CostPerkWh=

This is ROI within a month (by not calculation the electricity), or there is a mistake here?

If in any case there is only one left then I will re-think and maybe order one.

I independently calculated ROI to be the same two days ago and based on this amazing return I concluded that the manufacturers must have rocks in their head to sell devices that pay back in perhaps 15 days if only their costs were involved, don't need to add their profit to that calc.
Why the hell would you sell miners that you would be better off keeping with those sorts of returns. Are they really trying to be that kind to the world ?

Good luck !
