1  Other / Meta / Re: Will it prevent account selling? on: March 20, 2017, 05:37:00 PM
I understand the thinking, but what would stop account sellers from transferring the wallet file in the transaction? IIRC transferring Priv Keys is already common practice.

The buyer is always at the risk of seller deciding to use bitcoins obtained from the signature campaign, because the seller will still have access to the address.  Smiley
Couldn't the buyer just move the bitcoins away though?

I'd be fine with that, if only we actually can.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Spectrocoin hacker on: March 17, 2017, 03:09:15 AM
This could still be related to the bitcointalk hack back in 2015. Some of the accounts could be dormant accounts that weren't on in awhile so they couldn't change their password.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Something wrong with the timeline or is it just me? on: March 07, 2017, 10:15:28 PM
So I was looking through the BitBet thread when I found this gem: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=339544.msg3709372#msg3709372 (check the date on the two links), am I missing something here? How can a post in 2013 link to posts made in 2014? I'm also not sure why the link changes from 1240 to 1220 when I switch between pages 61 and 62 since page 62 is what is shown when you click on the 1240 link(which is close to 1220).

The link is to a specific page (not post) of a thread. Since that page does not exist, it shows you the last. Its either a wrong link or several pages of the thread in question have been deleted.
Ok, thanks then!

6  Other / Meta / Re: Why is email revealed when reporting? on: February 28, 2017, 04:13:58 PM
Nothing is wrong with that...

If we complain against someone it is a requirement to put our name in it, if we are afraid then we will look like a coward and unsure about our complain or just making a story...

Anyway, I have reported so many and I have no problem with that, and it's just your email and not your password and :

If someone's report is found wrong or fake and his accuracy is less than say 60%, he can be punish by banning.
And do you know we can put fake email in our profile, a non-existing one like 123@xxx.vc etc.
So revealing email is not a deterrent.
Where does it say you can be banned for having a reporting accuracy less then 60%?
7  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why is Lauda still considered trusted? on: February 16, 2017, 04:51:12 AM
Well heres another attempt at quickseller seriously distorting the facts and posting shit for the sole purpose of trying to make someone look bad.

Lauda did not in fact try to extort for money from what i read. There was never a mention of a monetary amount. So the above statement about this is false.

Well, excuse me for asking questions around here  Roll Eyes. Note to self: don't ask anymore questions anywhere, you may be mistaken for someone trying to make other people(in general) look bad.

Hey, i guess you haven't read this thread then! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1648941.0

(edit- did you purchase that account fairly recently?)
I did read the thread, although I noticed that there were no questions asked :p(not that I don't mind). I didn't purchase this account.

Why does it matter to you? Plenty of people did business with Lauda before the latest "issue" and have not changed their mind about those deals. Lauda lost their position as a member of staff and that is a satisfactory response for most normal people. Oh, and this is a crying thread.
Asking questions ==crying, ok got it. Edit:Plenty of people also did deals with Escrow.ms, doesn't change the fact he isn't considered trusted anymore.
10  Economy / Reputation / Why is Lauda still considered trusted? on: February 15, 2017, 04:02:44 PM
Why is Lauda still considered trusted by many members? Consider Escrow.Ms, who carded stuff, and was kicked out of Dt1(this may be a poor example considering that he wasn't a mod). Why would it be different for Lauda? If anything, they should be held to a higher standard then Escrow.MS, considering they were also a mod. This is not a qqing thread, I'm just curious. Edit: He was DT1, not DT2:
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scam indicators? on: February 09, 2017, 08:39:31 PM
There are no obvious traits to tell who is a scammer or not but if they are repeat scam artists a simple google search can reveal who they are and can be avoided.
Sometimes a good service can go south and turn into scam without obvious signs, just like big firms turn into bad debtors..
Some people are smart enough to use a different handle though. If you can't find anything on those guys(including the people you are trading with), then just be careful and use escrow if you think you still can't trust them.
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacked at Nitrogen Sports on: February 07, 2017, 05:22:54 AM
no. you guys discredit me so fast.

this is something that happened to me 100%

yet i was robbed money and you blame me.  never nitrogen sports fault?

nitrogensports only has google 2fa. so if phone hacked. they can get codes.

instead of processing withdrawals instantly. Nitrogen should have better security measures on their site.

im not the first person to get scammed at nitrogen and not the last.

but shame on you for discrediting what happened to me and saying its all my fault

god bless you being perfect.
Do you mind being able to place pictures of your conversations with nitrogen sports' support? I'm sure you'd need to follow use the correct format as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0.

Good luck connecting a Jr. member account to QS Roll Eyes.

15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][UNSOLVED] BTC-E.COM REFUSING TO UNLOCK MY ACCOUNT (thousands of dollars) on: January 31, 2017, 08:13:46 PM
He didn't wait 13 months to claim the account:
I've been on and off with them for the past 13 months and it's becoming exhausting. So I'm all but convinced this is a poor excuse for scamming me(taking form the OP)..
Also, I thought that notarized documents were proof enough of ownership.

MAN! I am reporting this to the COPS!

HE SENT A NOTARIZED SCREENSHOT OF A BTC ADDRESS OVER EMAIL!
He refused to send a notarized passport!
He did send the notarized documents that they asked for(if they didn't ask for a passport, they(steven) doesn't need to provide one): I've notarized the documents they have asked for, it's publicly available and has a commission number (#) valid until July 2017(taking from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1739698.msg17487530#msg17487530).

17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to find a BTC job? on: January 28, 2017, 01:19:11 AM
I have lurked some around and I saw pretty old website that still offers like "5 BTC" to draw the picture of a realistic dog or whatever, so I ask you, a real, updated website that does stuff like for hobbyst or similar? Thanks

I believe Fiverr.com accepts bitcoin as a payment method so Its really recommended to offer your services there , It could be drawing , programming , photoshoping , video editing ... whatever you are good at . Don't expect to earn too much from the start though , you have to build a high quality service and get vouches and recommendations as a start.
Fiverr doesn't allow bitcoin withdrawals though. The only ways to withdraw from Fiverr are from paypal bank transfer, direct deposit, and getting a fiverr revenue card. http://support.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/204060786-Withdrawing-Funds.
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need advice & feedback about Virtual Debit Card without verification on: January 24, 2017, 03:14:50 PM
I advise you to forget all mentioned above and go with : spectrocoin.com/en/account.html , i am very pleased with their service for almost one year - quick support - easy and fast load \unload your cards
I'd also advise you to ignore what this guy says. Spectrocoin are selective scammers. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1669877.0. Which means, they can steal your bitcoins next, so I wouldn't recommend Spectrocoin. I'm using UQuid now, although they have a $2k loading limit, so just buy another one after you hit the limit(if you can).
19  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Thompson 1927A1 (Tommy Guns) *Price lowered due to Bitcoin "crash"* on: January 18, 2017, 10:58:07 PM
Well, they do have a picture with their name on it posted on the OP of this thread. So that does check out.
20  Other / Meta / Re: knightkon spamming the lending section with "lock this thread" on: January 14, 2017, 05:36:46 AM
Mmm.  QS, you really ought to shut the fuck up after disgracing yourself with your escrow scam.  Posting that people should lock threads is trivial compared to your transgressions, and if this forum had any balls whatsoever, you would be booted out of it.
Could not have said it better myself!!
Uh huh, yea, what does an escrow scam have anything to do with asking people to lock their threads? Also knightkon, there is a block button; it's right under the pm/check profile icons.
