441  Economy / Economics / Re: Quantitative Easing on: June 26, 2014, 06:48:20 AM
That is your notion of inflation, not the one you will read in most textbooks on economics.

"In economics, inflation is a sustained increase in the general price level of goods and services in an economy over a period of time.[1] When the general price level rises, each unit of currency buys fewer goods and services. Consequently, inflation reflects a reduction in the purchasing power per unit of money a loss of real value in the medium of exchange and unit of account within the economy.[2][3] A chief measure of price inflation is the inflation rate, the annualized percentage change in a general price index (normally the consumer price index) over time.[4"

Sir, this is the worst, manipulative post i have ever seen. The above quote is from Wikipedia, BUT you have intentionally erased a line from the definition. The original looks like this:

"In economics, inflation is a sustained increase in the general price level of goods and services in an economy over a period of time.[1] It can be defined as too much money chasing too few goods.

YEP it is pretty clear that user: "Trading" is a douche Fed lapdog with no integrity.

INFLATION IS BAD (no matter how try to justify it)

Banks, manufacturers, governments, currencies and everyone should be allowed to fail. In their wake better solutions will arise.

Look at Mt Gox. They sucked. They failed. Now better exchanges rule the landscape. Bitcoin and a truly free market will prevail.

Inflation in general is bad, but the opposite, deflation is much worse. With deflation people will wait until "tomorrow" when prices will fall, causing prices to fall even more, causing people to delay their purchases even longer. This results in a decreased level of economic activity.

Inflation needs to be kept at a low level but not so low that deflation is a threat.

When was the last time you saw people wait when the new iPhones come out.  I swear the people are taking their disability checks and running full sprint to the Apple store to wait in line for 12 hours.
442  Economy / Economics / Re: How much does bitcoins costs when buying outside the exchange? on: June 26, 2014, 06:44:46 AM
i dont know, i hear people saying that big traders buy bitcoins off the exchanges, so where is that? And how much do bitcoins cost then? Wondering if there is anybody with real life examples Smiley

Those trades are large amounts like 1k to 100k coins at a time.
443  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: June 26, 2014, 06:43:53 AM
I prefer the gold, gold is a long time player in the field of investment.
the price is stable, if it does not fall too low. in contrast to bitcoin,
which if falls can be tens to hundreds of dollars.

Gold has gone from above $2000 to $1200 in more or less 2 year.  That's not tens, it's almost a thousand.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: How much does bitcoins costs when buying outside the exchange? on: June 26, 2014, 06:39:51 AM
I have never seen localbitcoins ever go under exchange prices.
445  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: June 26, 2014, 06:36:49 AM
I think we'll head back towards $600 before we approach $400.  The upper ask walls are light.

I suppose they will email private keys to all winning bidders. In single Cc: email.

Have the Bitcoins been split to 3k per address already?

Why would you want to do that? Makes no sense.

I'd just do one transaction distributing the 'blocks' to the 10 recipient addresses. With 0 fee, or course.

I think the 10th one is a partial amount like 2638 or something like that.
447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop talking about the damn SR coins - it is the LEAST significant price mover on: June 26, 2014, 06:25:03 AM
Who is this other dealer that is being talked about.  Can't find it anywhere on google or coindesk.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are the silk road coins sold ? on: June 26, 2014, 06:22:33 AM
How do you see this affecting the price?

Nahh it would never affect the price, people getting 30k btc at a bargain, they would never sell those off on exchanges the second they got them!

first thing they will do by my opinion is to sell them across all exchanges, then wait for even bigger plummet, and then rebuy.
one can only hope the price on auction wont be as low as we fear it will be.

Someone already bid market price -15% for all of them, so they won't go cheaper than 500ish. Since these coins will be sold only to Americans they will be subject to taxation if they sell within 1 year. So you think someone will dump these coins immediately and take a loss with paying taxes? After they would sell with slippage and pay taxes that would average under 400 per coin. So yeah, that's not gonna happen lol.

They only pay tax on profit, not the whole value of bitcoin.

That's not what Webslicer's CPA is saying.  Since the procurement of said coins would be unknown unless you can show a receipt, You get taxed on purchase and sale price (they assume you mined all the coins).
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a bear trap? on: June 26, 2014, 06:19:26 AM
Not me, I think most people are speculating the prices to go higher but I think its stuck now and its about to fall and july will be it.

What do you mean by "july will be it"? Like it will go up from there, or are you implying it will crash

He means it will go down.  He says this because he was asleep at the wheel when it hit $400s.
450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 26, 2014, 06:17:43 AM
I can see it going up to 630 in the next few days.  Volume has been way too light this past week.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 26, 2014, 06:15:15 AM
My worst decision was to buy on the top in January 2014.
Actually this might not be a bad decision in the long run, if you don't sell them off in the meantime.
Just try to be patient and hold them.

In January we were @ 700-900$ if I remember correctly, if you buy some now you can have an average cost of around 620$ per coin which is very good compared to the upside potential
You would still be showing a paper loss as of now. If you were to need the funds then you would be forced to realize that loss.

It is not good to say "the price will go up in the future so I am doing well even though I am showing a loss now"

You don't invest with money you need to live or might need in an emergency.  You invest only with spare funds you would have lost gambling or buying a guitar or something.
452  Economy / Economics / Re: the largest Bitcoin cloud mining service, not a profitable investment on: June 26, 2014, 06:11:15 AM
The game of hot potato.  He who holds it at the end will get burned bad.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin. following bitcoin's footsteps?? on: June 26, 2014, 06:08:06 AM
Litecoin is following Dogecoin's footsteps bro...straight to Davy Jones locker..

Dogecoin was more of a joke than anything.
Litecoin has the second largest market cap with the second largest daily volume trades. It dwarfs any other coin currently out in the market.
No coin even comes close. It's far from dead...

Darkcoin surpassed litecoin in price. The only reason Litecoin has a large marketcap is because it has 28million coins. It's only worth $8 and is only getting lower and lower, after dropping more than 80% from $50.

Litecoin has no adoptance, no innovation, and no first mover status(many alt coins were made before litecoin). Litecoin is as good as dead.

That is what I think.

Litecoin almost dead.

If you keep wishing it maybe someday it will come true, along with that unicorn you want.  Are you hoping that 1/4 billion goes into your alt-flavor-of-the-month?
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta on: June 26, 2014, 05:56:30 AM
Well we're up to 6GH/s now, if we get more speed would that help with our chances of getting better returns?
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead - The unmoderated thread on: June 26, 2014, 05:50:45 AM
Was there an official statement released on it's death because when I look at all the other alt-coins I just laugh.

You ate paint chips as a kid didn't you?  Either that or you sniffed a lot of glue.
457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: One Week in Islam: What is Wrong With This Faith??? on: June 26, 2014, 05:45:20 AM
The problem is that too many of them adhere to closely to the words of that faith rather the general intent.  If the books says to kill Infidels, well then guess I'm popping some heads today.  Whoops, I never got to page 2 which says I'm not supposed to kill innocents.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What good things has Obama had since he is elected ? on: June 26, 2014, 05:42:55 AM
The single best thing he did is help bring Americans together in their hate of government (other than the ones looking for gov teets).  Now he has 2 years to get everybody to hate him equally and we'll be good to go.
459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Vaccination Movement - bringing diseases back to life on: June 26, 2014, 05:36:48 AM
People are always willing to gamble when they don't know the risks of non-vaccination.  Look at some polio victims from the older generations, or better yet live with them and they'll change their tune.
460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wash Your Brain - Hollywood Mind Control on: June 26, 2014, 05:32:46 AM
Watch Happy Feet 2 and tell me that is not liberal spin monster working it's claws into kids.  I ran a recycling program for my high school but the brainwashing is self evident in many movies.
