There are other stable coins like BUSD, TUSD, UST and USDC to immediately take the position of USDT and I believe stable coin like BUSD that is more transparent ,audited , and known total amount in circulation I think it will do an excellent job by replacing the Tether USDT, so let them do whatever they want to do with coin that's really fucked. I guess this was why they were not being transparent with the total amount of USDT in circulation. Thanks to the existence of other stable coins. Well yes. But also it will affect the trust that people should have in such financial tools, and will make a dent in financial human history like no other before. They will need an air tight 'stable coin' after that.  |

There is a fair amount of information on this subject. The most important thing to draw from it is that there is no 3rd party that has safely audited their books for at least 6 months. The main excuse given is that Tether cannot spare their main developer to explain to the auditors how they "secure" the "reserves". A new month -- another month running my LN-node. It's been online for a total of 78 days now.
Last month I had 2,327 events, routing a total of ~2.4 btc. A new record routing-wise. However, I made more in fees the previous month.
Right now my node has a capacity of 3.1 btc among 59 channels.
*edit. @cAPS, one of our channels force-closed. It seems it was initiated on my end, but I have no idea why though. My first force-closed...
A hack? .. or providers of your internet decided to meddle with their network to forbid 'unusual' traffic?? I usually get knocked down to a limited speed when I download torrents and is not as easy like 10 years ago. If I go over a certain speed, I get knocked down to 10kb/s.   |
