Kurze Frage zu folgender Aussage im OP:

Quote

Thanks, I received 10 BSD once again. Is there any information on how long the free BSD auction is going to go or is it just arbitrary?

All this voting stuff from odd crypto sites are pointless and do not bring any benefit to the project or the community. I see no reason to participate on those polls. It seems that other community members see it that way, too.

NEM (XEM) is currently in last place with 0 votes
Only 5 days til voting ends!

Is waves considered a 3rd generation blockchain?

Everyone has a different definition. Some call it the third generation, some the second generation. In any case, Waves belongs in a row (or generation) of Ethereum, NEM etc.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: March 24, 2018, 06:27:39 PM
Trash! the only thing that matters for success in the crypto place is a consensus. And IOTA has none of it. Complete rubbish. If we could see its correction matching the general market correction at least but no. Just kept sinking.  Go watch Richard Heart s videos on Iota

Isn't it really boring to constantly spread the untruth? Read the white paper and work on the tangle and you'll see a light coming up to you and your misinformation.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | SMART CONTRACTS COMING! on: March 23, 2018, 03:24:59 PM
Are the bitcoin addresses in Waves client derived from the same seed? Does that mean that I do not have to backup the private keys of the bitcoin address, but only have to remember the Waves seed to always have access? The same question I have for the Ethereum and ZCash wallet in Waves client.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: March 23, 2018, 02:56:20 PM
I believe IOTA nevertheless need to give a simpler example of how the actual Tangle works, the past group of illustrations aren't so fulfilling

IOTA is a highly complex technology. It's not easy to understand, but all the information you need is described in the white papers. There are some very good videos on Youtube that explain the complex matter in a good way. If you are interested, then you can understand it. But do not expect someone to explain it to you in detail.

I agree. The facebook disaster has showed that there is a strong need for decentralized alternatives. Blockchain technology is perfect for it. Although there were failed attempts - as Sasha mentioned - there are already good and successful examples like steemit.

US, Korean and Chinese governments are to ban NEM (XEM) token trading
read the press release here http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/3707551  Grin

Is this fud? The article says nothing about NEM or XEM. It is one of many articles which reports something about governments which want to stop crypto currencies and some of them even blockchain technology. Don't think they will succeed longterm.

476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Store encrypted files into blockchain? on: March 21, 2018, 07:35:52 PM
Have you take a look on Storj and MaidSafe, they both store data by using with erasure coding , so  that files are split apart and distributed across many servers. As far as I know, Storj already offered their storage service on blockchain, price is just 0.015$/gb/month: https://storj.io/

Thanks, Storj sounds interesting. Are data encrypted on the blockchain or are they stored plain? Secure encryption is a must for me.

Edit: Signups on Storj.io are not possible at the moment due to extreme demand.

Thanks for sharing! We are heading to a new stage of IOTA. As soon as the mobile and the desktop trinity wallet have been released, IOTA will be much more user friendly (it is already machine friendly Smiley ). Along with good news ( a lot of new advisors from big companies have recently joined the foundation ) the project is on a good way.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Store encrypted files into blockchain? on: March 21, 2018, 04:24:22 PM
I have some sensitive data files. I used encrypted cloud storage solution (like Google cloud) in the past to store the data but I want to switch to a blockchain solution. I did some research but could not really find a solution. That is why I am asking. Is there a trusty file storage blockchain solution where I can securely store and edit data?

480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] on: March 21, 2018, 02:49:41 PM
Segwit in 9 days, guys =)

I am wondering what big influence Segwit could have on Feathercoin? In my opinion, Segwit does make sense if blocks are full or near to full and when many transactions are stored in the mem pool. This does not hold for Feathercoin. Blocks are far away of being full.

This has been addressed. SegWit for the capacity increase is not important for FTC. However, SegWit allows for atomic swaps and other upgrades, allowing FTC to keep up-to-date with 2018 tech.

Thanks, for clear up the things! I am really interested in Feathercoin and I am planning to make a good investment. Are there any information about if Ledger nano is going to support Feathercoin sometime in the future? Also is it planned to bring Feathercoin to decentralized exchange BarterDex?
