1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Privately Hosting Miners for people on: August 05, 2016, 11:40:39 PM
Yeah it might be best to get more miners and rent them hosted perhaps
unless people come here to set them up themselves and see the place and meet

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Coinbase No longer Support CAD as of JULY 29th on: July 07, 2016, 06:22:01 PM
Thought I'd pass this forward

NOTICE AS FOLLOWS!....

Quote
Dear valued Coinbase customer,

As of August 1, Coinbase’s Canadian payments provider, Vogogo, will be shutting down its payment processing business. When this occurs, Coinbase will no longer be able to support Canadian EFT transfers, Interac transfers, or the storage of customer CAD on Coinbase.

All customer CAD stored with Coinbase MUST be withdrawn off site or converted to digital currency by July 29th.

If you hold CAD in your Coinbase account, you must liquidate your CAD holdings before July 29th by either:

creating a withdrawal to your linked bank account or
exchanging stored CAD for digital currency.
If you are unable to withdraw or exchange your CAD before July 29th, Coinbase will suspend your account and significant fees will be incurred for CAD withdrawals.
We are disappointed to lose the ability to offer these payment methods for our Canadian customers and hope to provide additional payment methods in the future. We appreciate your support during this change.

If you have any questions regarding this or would like to contact us, please visit our Support Center.

8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: July 05, 2016, 04:28:42 PM
I will highlight that.  I have done a few small shocks with different power installs but 1 time I managed a solid across the chest (felt my heart contract) shock.

I was installing a 4 foot replacement fluorescent bulb on an over head light it was hot I was sweating and I was having trouble getting pins in on each side.
I was doing it hot with power to the  fixture(badbadbad) so I reach out a bit and each hand touched each end and I run the power across my chest.  My arm pits were sweaty  and my hands a bit damp with sweat so nice contact.  The power f-ing hurt  big time.  I felt like someone sneezed my heart inside my chest. Plus my sweating arm pits felt seriously weird .

And we are talking about  the power was from this type of device.

https://www.electricalmarketplace.com/productfile/index/view/fileid/173/

since it was one fixture it was about 60-65 watts  and I think I was lucky to be able to write a warning about power.

I think most people would think 62 watts dc is a  safe  level to get shocked with it was not.

thats because of the amps that are supplying that 60-65w florescent tube (its rated load wattage while on)
the wattage doesn't refer to whats going to those actual plugs the tube connects too
the Balast is more likely to be outputting 500v or 600v to start the tube, and a fair bit of amps to do so

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: June 29, 2016, 09:06:14 PM
I tried to use 3 miners with it and it always changes their worker names to the same name
am I missing something or is it a limitation to the free version?
That should work. The only exception might be Claymore's Ethereum miner that doesn't support reporting worker name.
What mining software did you use in Awesome Miner and did you have the same pool added several times, with only different worker names?
its the last build release for the s5
no i didnt have multiple copies of the same pool i'll try that thanks
Can you please send me the API report for your miner where you experience this problem? Select the miner and click the "View Details..." button on the right hand side. Click the "Generate API Report" and send me the output by e-mail. Thanks!
yeah i will do that, in a bit though as when i launch the program sets my second miner to one of my alternate pools, i have to apply and save  in the web interface to change it back after shutting off the awesome miner first
I can add an additional pool for its settings and associate that miner to it to prevent it right ?

14  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][UK] Avalon6, many PSUs + accessories, 2x computers on: June 29, 2016, 05:15:02 PM
Just to vouch (in case it's still necessary), got my a4, all good and working fine.

Just a tip, try running the fan at 100% for a few minutes, it unloads big chunks of dust.

Thanks for the business my friend, good luck for the rest of your sales
just a suggestion assuming the factory warranty is gone, might be a good idea to actually clean the heatsinks and fan blades on any used miner from anyone before operation ,it will greatly prolong life and keep temps cooler longer, I wouldnt think fan speed alone will fully clean it

an old toothbrush works wonders for sinks and blades

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Bad for the environment, taking the worlds energy - yes? on: June 27, 2016, 12:46:13 AM
Yeah bitcoin is taking lots of power energy of the world, somewhere it is very cheap and somewhere costs a lot, but we can say that because of bitcoin many people have been employed on maintaining those mining rigs in their mining farms. It is not bad for environment as fabrics.
agree with that,we can't mentioned that bitcoin bad for environment, i think paper money more bad for environment by consuming papper that made from wood, and wood has been cuted off illegally for it.
that was back in the day , now they use cotton and wool, some new stuff use a polymer where its clear

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Bad for the environment, taking the worlds energy - yes? on: June 24, 2016, 12:37:51 AM
Bitcoin is not at all bad for environment. Only in terms of energy consumption it might be in the last but the innovation had given high security for the users in terms of earning and investment.
Bitcoin is quite a lot better than physical cash with respect to the environment, in my opinion. Taking up a small percentage of world energy is actually better than cutting down trees to make paper money and killing the lands and mining ores for making coins.
except money in bill format is made from cotton and linen fibers

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving on: June 23, 2016, 03:25:55 AM
The bitcoin price right now is halving. How low will it go?
No it's not halving already. I think the price drop is cause by the DAO disaster and temporary close of a big exchanger's site. The halving will happen on the month of july. Don't worry for the price drop it will rise again, if i were you i will just hold my bitcoins and increase it by buying bitcoin now because the price is low and after halving and the price reach your expectations it's the right time to sell your coins and bring home that good profits Grin.
Yeah, We are experiencing low value of bitcoins right now cause bitfinex has been down, Thats why the bitcoin price greatly affected by bitfinex

you can follow them on twitter , theyve been back up for a while now far as i know
