1  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: June 13, 2016, 01:45:48 PM
Two of the best "investments" i've made:

1. Buy bitcoin.
2. Get paid in bitcoin.

#2 > #1,
By way of illustration, pizza-guy who should ideally be a millionaire today.

If you are getting paid in bitcoins you must be either really unlucky or really silly to lose.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: So BitCoin is at $520 right now... Sell or Keep for a few more days? on: June 13, 2016, 01:35:24 PM
702.4  Wink
I don't think there would be much drop after the halving, based on the comparison with the earlier peak of $1000, those were dark days and the difference in dynamics about trading btc today and in 2014 could not be more pronounced. If there is a drop I expect it to correct itself within a few days.
Either way, the best time to sell would be days before the halving - if you want to sell that is.

Otherwise, the best way to make money out of bitcoin has always been "hold".

The value could still rise further, I am not counting an increase to $800 even before halving out of the picture now.

By now there is a more pronounced definition to the investors who are into bitcoin for the long run and we clearly know what should be done, halving or not  Wink

More people are definitely attracted to it today than 6 months back, some "banks" are sending out public notes regarding blockchain technology and what not. Of course they want another coin which they can control but it still adds publicity to Bitcoin.
