2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you say is Bitcoin's biggest weakness as an industry? on: October 04, 2018, 03:44:50 PM
Bitcoin is almost perfect for being a digital currency and Bitcoin is just waiting for mass adoption from all countries to become accepted currencies in all countries but volatility is a small weakness for Bitcoin and not the main because volatility has become part of crypto market movements. In addition, people who have used Bitcoin have understood how Bitcoin works in the crypto industry and does not really give importance to the problem of weakness.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's now has 600- 700k bitcoins? on: October 04, 2018, 03:23:55 PM
It has often been reported that the creator of bitcoin - Satoshi Nakamoto- has at least a million bitcoins, that could spark a lot of market distortions should those coins ever move from their wallets, but recent report by Bitmex's research team suggest figures 30 percent lower. 600 - 700k bitcoins
What do you think? Any significant difference?

Satoshi does have a very large coin base but there is no official proof that it has 1 million or less coins, I think this is exhaled by a group of investors to create panic. Satoshi is a very smart person so he will never sell his coins, so there is no need to worry about that.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions and Impressions about bitcoin on: October 04, 2018, 03:11:40 PM
So I asked my friends regarding their opinions and impressions about bitcoin and their answers made me laugh. One of my friends answered:

"Bitcoin? Bitcoin is used for transactions in deepwebs to buy drugs!"

So they think that bitcoin = deepwebs. So they stay away from bitcoin thinking it was illegal

Another one:

"Its just a waste of time. You will not earn from it"

And when you give him proof that bitcoin is valuable they'll be like "omg teach me how!!" Lol

And lastly,

"Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a scam"

So yea they think bitcoin is fraud and a scam.

It's so funny to think that people who don't have knowledge about bitcoin automatically thinks that bitcoin is a scam because of the issues regarding bitcoin scamming. So yeah.

Most people don't understand Bitcoin and the technology Bitcoin brings, they only hear Bitcoin information from anti-Bitcoin news or advertisements. it's true that when they know that Bitcoin is a profitable investment. They will be interested and they will ask you to teach them, even though they are not interested. Most people think that when you invest, you get and generate and produce, they don't know that there are still risks, that's why when they invest and lose money, they will say that Bitcoin is a scam.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: what do you think by ending of this year on: October 04, 2018, 02:52:45 PM
I think that the situation will not change much before the end of the year. The price will vary from $ 6,000 to $ 9,000. But next year, the situation can change dramatically for the better. The price should rise again to $ 20,000. , but I recommend everyone to pray for Bitcoin!)
Apart from praying, there might be some actual things we could do to help the market grow. Investors could try to seek for more opportunities in the crypto market which is now offering extremely cheap prices of the top currencies. Active discussion starters could create more topic about the advantages of blockchain, cryptography and crypto market. Attentive member of the community could point out fake or inaccurately formulated bad news about the market. Retailers could accept cryptos as payment. There are many things to be done, and I believe that our actions matter. Let's build a strong community of crypto believers.
Yes, I agree with you, by praying alone it will not be enough to make Bitcoin rise again as at the end of last year, there must be a solution to make increasing adoption of Bitcoin. as you mentioned above, there must be active discussion in order to create more topics about blockchain excellence, cryptography and crypto markets to strengthen the faith of Bitcoin holders.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Tracking Your Crypto Investments? on: October 04, 2018, 02:36:03 PM
Hi, I recently started to invest some amount in altcoins along with my existing Bitcoin investments and the very first thing I realised that tracking the multiple investments was the problem as I rarely buy more than one alt-coin from the single exchange.

I recently came across this portfolio management site and I am impressed with it. How many of you are already using Cryptocompare for tracking your investment portfolio?

They have some additional interesting features like (maintaining sales, risk analysis, advanced chart, accounting etc) and they are going to turn it into paid subscriptions in the coming period.

I am mainly looking to track my long term cold storage investments so I don't think I would need those features as of now or at least in next 2-3 years.

Do you know any better alternative? Please let me know.
I use Google spreadsheet on my PC to track all my crypto currencies with the date I bought, the price and the price now. But it's a little troublesome because the input is manual but it's okay. Whereas on my android phone, I use the google app service called blockfolio and so far it's good for tracking my crypto.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government trying to stop bitcoin, what I see on: October 01, 2018, 05:04:19 PM
Bitcoin was created by Satoshi nakamoto to help the transaction process easier and have very safe privacy, through its anonymity, so that no one can stop using bitcoin. If the government wants to stop bitcoin, I doubt that bitcoin is now a world currency that is easy to use for every transaction and if they want to manipulate bitcoin they cannot because bitcoin is not part of their property.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be stronger this time on: October 01, 2018, 04:41:31 PM
I am still optimistic about fortification

I was a famous digital currency analyst, recently that the digital currency market this year is stronger than it was at the same time in 2014. According to his tweets, there are a lot of ongoing purchases despite fear and surrender in the market. His vision was illustrated by a graph comparing the decomposition rate for the period from December 2017 to August 2018 and from December 2013 to January 2015

The market capitalization of the healthy grew from $ 8 billion at about the same time in 2014 to more than $ 108 billion now. Having acquired many acquisitions and reached a price point of close to $ 20,000 in December 2017, the value of the market has increased by more than $ 661 billion.

The 2018 index clearly indicates that there is much lower volatility in the price of the composition at this time. The relative stability of prices in the market can be attributed to the impending news that investors are eagerly waiting for. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), after its recent rejection of the proposed ETFs proposed by the Winklefos brothers, will announce its decision on nine ETFs in September.

I hope that I have delivered all and created hope again to those who lost Grin
The decision of the Securities Commission is able to influence the crypto market which currently requires a lot of positive things to restore investor confidence. But I think there will be other news that can push the market forward. Don't be discouraged about that. Those who do not have information to make money on the market, which is in regression. Of course, the Commission's decision is very important for reversal, but that is not the last solution.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin control the market? on: October 01, 2018, 04:27:36 PM
Most people believe that the price of altcoins' is determined by the price of bitcoin and that they tend to follow it's market movements.

I partially disagree with this. I have studied prices of coins and tokens on CMC and the fluctuations of each currency seems to be unique and independent of any other digital currency. Some show strong pumps when BTC goes down and some heavy dumps when BTC is rising.

Undoubtedly, there are market forces and factors which affects most currencies, this is not influenced by bitcoins price, it rather controls bitcoins' price as well as others.
So when trading or investing, make sure you treat each currency differently as they have different utilities.
Yes, I agree with you that the price of altcoin is not determined by the price of bitcoin because they have a different development team but the price fluctuations of Bitcoin have a big impact on the altcoin, not only because it is the main currency for most Altcoins but also because it's the backbone of the whole cryptocurrency world, every news that the effect of Bitcoin whether it is good or bad will affect the altcoin.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the massive creation of Altcoins can be stopped? on: September 30, 2018, 03:30:56 PM
The new alcoin project will continue to be present and we cannot stop it, but only the best projects will survive in the crypto market. Maybe we should think of some rules or deposits paid before making a new coin, in this way the creator will be more careful and will ensure their products will survive.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you Buy Gold or Silver with Bitcoin on: September 30, 2018, 03:22:09 PM
Why buy gold and silver for bitcoin, if bitcoin itself is gold and silver of the future?
I agree with your opinion. Many people say that Bitcoin is an electronic gold, probably in the future, gold and silver will not be used by many people. Because people will buy Bitcoin because hold Bitcoin can earn more money than hold gold and silver

I'm sorry I disagree, I think gold and silver will still be present as long-term investments because they are precious metals whose value will continue to increase because of limited availability, other advantages of gold and silver are still the safest investments to date, Bitcoin only has characters like gold, because the supply is limited.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors? on: September 30, 2018, 03:13:57 PM
I think altcoin investors are wise investors, even though bitcoin investors want more than altcoin because they consider prices. Bitcoin is only the base currency for most altcoins including ethereum. Altcoins have more potential than bitcoin because it will continue to grow but the growth of the altcoin will be more sporadic than bitcoin.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why Bitcoins is the safest system on: September 29, 2018, 08:11:41 PM
Bitcoin is the safest system because bitcoin is developed with the great decentralized system and latest blockchain system that is the best technology in this latest era of technology, that is the main reason that is why bitcoin is the safest system.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why investors invest in bitcoin though some of them loose it ? on: September 28, 2018, 04:11:59 PM
As per my knowledge, Some investors invest in bitcoin when the price reach to 20,000$ but now price is hardly more than 10000$.
Should they loose their money?
But still investors are invest in why ?
As long as they have the same number of bitcoins, they still have the opportunity to earn income when the price recovers in the span of time. This is the basis of their thinking. If they risk their money at 20k $ per bitcoin, so much more they will buy bitcoin at $ 9200 which is cheaper.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency on: September 28, 2018, 04:03:16 PM
Bitcoin was created to provide independence from Government control to the users.  But I think it is not so independent.

It depends on fiat currency especially the Dollar for it's valuation.

My question is ; we are measuring it's value in dollars.  So is not it true that Bitcoin is dependent on fiat currency for it's existence?

Please share whatever views you are having.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong.
Blockchain technology itself is independent because it is decentralized so for me Bitcoin is independent only requires adoption. People invest large amounts of fiat money into Bitcoin just to have what we call financial freedom that fiat never gives us.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When people say Bitcoin is dead, make sure to show them this... on: September 28, 2018, 03:56:30 PM
The belief that prices will definitely rise is something that needs to be planted in the mind of every Bitcoin holder for now. Selling your bitcoin at a low price or loss is like throwing it away and you don't lose anything until you decide to sell it at a loss. Bitcoin has died several times and has not become very strong.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin scams on: September 28, 2018, 03:17:34 PM
Just read this article, a nice piece about Bitcoin scams with an example -
The example story about one scam there is just hilarious. The scam is so bad, but people still fall for it  Huh Huh Huh

So, have you ever got scammed, or know some good stories to share with others to help them learn from others mistakes?
Very difficult to avoid fraud. nowadays there are scams everywhere even outside the crypto currency community. It is our duty to be more careful about our own assets before someone does something bad about them.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption for better life in future . on: September 27, 2018, 06:13:24 AM
Studying seriously and adopting Bitcoin will lead to a better life in the future. If bitcoin becomes a global currency it will lead to several revolutions and lead to the development of a better global economy. But Bitcoin still requires time to be accepted in all countries and applied in daily life.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Be More Efficient Than Bank Transactions on: September 27, 2018, 06:03:55 AM
Bitcoin transfers even between countries on average the administrative costs are very cheap. Obviously more profitable than banking transactions, the administrative costs of which are still expensive.

I hope that all banks can see opportunities for Bitcoin to be utilized. Although I acknowledge the central bank's concern if Bitcoin transactions are used for prohibited matters.

One step that can be done by the Bank is to allow Bitcoin transactions on condition that they have to be registered on a special platform. Later the patform must be accompanied by a central bank permit.

This means that all bitcoin transactions must be recorded by regulators, now there are many illegal bitcoin transactions without permission and without supervision from regulators.

There is one country that can use it, for example in Japan that allows transactions with Bitcoin, even for payments in retail stores.

The government in Japan actually allows retail stores to accept payments via bitcoin. There are 4,000 stores that accept bitcoin payments. So far there are no problems. Even the Japanese government is making its own cryptocurrency.
I agree with you. We all hope there will be regulations from the government or any authority to allow bitcoin transactions. Bitcoin must not be banned, it must be regulated. Banks or governments must see bitcoin opportunities that are more efficient than official banks. It would be better if bitcoin is allowed for any transaction or payment.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I went bankrupt when I joined in cryptocurrency on: September 27, 2018, 04:13:45 AM
When you come to Crypto investment there is no guarantee that you will benefit in a short span of time. That is why many people in Porum remind you that you only invest the money you can afford to release, because the risk of investing in crypto is very high and this will only create depression and frustration in the part of your investment that will be lost.
