1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [D] - Originator "Tribus" PoW/PoS Hybrid Masternodes, Native Tor on: February 15, 2022, 09:25:21 PM
imagine being a developer of a crypto for 4 years for a coin, it continuously dumps, the dev leads the community on with dangling carrots of 'plops' in the main chat to keep people chatting, then he goes miissing on a regular basis. 6 months after the dec 2017 pump because the developer dumps his premine on his holders to make over a million dollars in 2018. then takes over 12-24 months to fix vulnerabilities in the code, multiple of his devs/admins leave over course of the 4 years. holders get disgruntled because of the lack of effort and ability to gather funds to list on large exchange. he then attacks his fellow admins is multiple rants telling them to go kill themselves when he doesnt like what he hears, the list goes on...

If you want proof i am happy to provide links

last post in this thread is from july 23 2021. imagine being in the middle of a bullrun and the dev goes missing. this crypto is dead. this is a warning

wtf are you smoking.

Admins of the community are all still around and this crypto is not dead. Imagine spending 4 years of your life working on a project that only has gotten hated upon and attacked for literally $0.

Go fuck yourself

quite unfortunate to discover via facebook ad today that "unstoppable" domains is now claiming ownership of .bitcoin .nft and several others that direclty conflict with this project.

Will their rush to sell influence the effectiveness of these namespaces in denarius?

It certainly could

More updates are incoming soon!

We are working on bringing a stable public DNS solution for the average user, if we could partner with CloudFlare or another provider like OpenDNS, we could expand quite easily

Still going strong!
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitDNS and Generalizing Bitcoin on: February 14, 2021, 07:29:42 PM
I think it would be possible for BitDNS to be a completely separate network and separate block chain, yet share CPU power with Bitcoin.  The only overlap is to make it so miners can search for proof-of-work for both networks simultaneously.

The networks wouldn't need any coordination.  Miners would subscribe to both networks in parallel.  They would scan SHA such that if they get a hit, they potentially solve both at once.  A solution may be for just one of the networks if one network has a lower difficulty.

I think an external miner could call getwork on both programs and combine the work.  Maybe call Bitcoin, get work from it, hand it to BitDNS getwork to combine into a combined work.

Instead of fragmentation, networks share and augment each other's total CPU power.  This would solve the problem that if there are multiple networks, they are a danger to each other if the available CPU power gangs up on one.  Instead, all networks in the world would share combined CPU power, increasing the total strength.  It would make it easier for small networks to get started by tapping into a ready base of miners.

Namecoin (NMC) implemented your proposed BitDNS in a better method in 2011.  I am sure you are aware of this Wink

I implemented "BitDNS" into Denarius (D) recently, I was able to complete full integration by hooking into the chain with a separated name database by utilizing the asm OP_DUP OP_2DROP etc.  I know you said 1 TLD .web was a good idea, this will be added in the future, it is trivial. Denarius currently supports .d, .dnr, .denarii, .ipfs, .king, .sys, .btc, and .bitcoin TLDs.  This "NVS" can be extended upon similar to Namecoin for things like text, magnet links, name aliases, and really data of any sort.  The value of the names can handle roughly a limit of 20kB.  Our name values can have dnslink IPFS records set for fully decentralized sites hosted on IPFS with DDNS.

If you want http://satoshi.btc/ or http://satoshi.bitcoin/ just let me know.  I thought .btc and .bitcoin were a bit more fitting for decentralized domains and a good option from the current .bit.

Public Denarius DNS Servers are available! https://denarius.io/dns

We also have our IPFS public gateway serving IPFS hosted Denarius domains

https://ipfs.denarius.io/ipns/satoshi.btc/
https://ipfs.denarius.io/ipns/satoshi.bitcoin/
https://ipfs.denarius.io/ipns/wiki.d/
https://ipfs.denarius.io/ipns/whitescroll.d/
https://ipfs.denarius.io/ipns/block.d/

If you have the Denarius DNS servers added to your device or network or setup Denarius locally with a DNS Proxy you can view the sites directly below:
http://satoshi.btc/
http://satoshi.bitcoin/
http://wiki.d/
http://whitescroll.d/
http://block.d/
http://stats.d/

It costs 0.1 D to register a name now in Denarius, 0.09 D goes to miners/stakers and 0.01 D goes to the name reg input. Official Announcement of v3.3.9.11 will be incoming soon!

I simply love this project and continue to hold as I have been for years now. I do still believe that its a matter of time before D becomes a top project, the thing is that DeFi is all the rage right now but I am starting to see staking is gaining some of the market share with more DeFi projects using the term staking as the farming hype has seemed to cool off. Keep up the great work Carsen and the rest of the team.

v3.3.9.11 releasing soon! https://denarius.io/domains some more information about the updates included.

Can you post a picture with your username and the watch please?

Haha, he runs "Dream's Escrow Service", he has a Discord server with escrow bots for a few years now, has done a lot of escrows in general for Bitcoin-OTC etc.

The average CRYPTOMAT sold for around 3 bitcoins... of course the price of BTC was in the $200's back in those days

While these are rare, I don't think you would get anywhere near 3BTC for this watch at current BTC price.

I would offer something myself but I have no idea what a more realistic price for these will be. Maybe someone else can chime in?

I mean it is rare, you cannot buy them with fiat, I have never even seen one sold for fiat, they list their prices in fiat $880 USD typically retail but only payable in BTC at least back in 2014. I did pay ~3 BTC for it and it is a low number. I know some high profile Bitcoin figures owned these and possibly still do.

I am certainly open to offers...Hopefully maybe minerjones will chime in with more information on if any were sold as well 3rd party?

Hmm true. I see they're selling the newer editions for around the same ~$880 price range. I can certainly see the watch going for more than the original ~$880. My advice would be to look at it in terms of USD and not BTC or you'll get nowhere near finding a buyer. 3 BTC in 2014 wasn't worth the same as it is in 2021. Otherwise my old note3/note4 would be worth over a 100 grand today and my Steam library hundreds of thousands Cheesy

Also, you'll be better off using an escrow on this forum and not someone off site

Good luck with the sale Smiley

Well I mean I am not looking at it like someone would want it for exactly 3 BTC per say, though I would point out that you could only buy them with BTC, a Note3/Note4 you could buy with fiat heh. It is #019 out of only #200 made.

I did receive a few private offers, I am still open to offers though.

I would be willing to use minerjones or anyone else here that escrows. Dream just offers an automated escrow service on Discord, so thought I would mention it.

Thanks!

https://cryptomatic.io/collections/every-watch-made/products/the-cryptomat-silver

"Launched in 2014, The CRYPTOMAT was inspired by traditional coin watches and designed as a homage to the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.

Composed of a symmetrical 42-mm case with a unique patented structure. It features a fascinating multi-layered dial structure, beneath the sapphire crystal, with hour indexes engraved in binary digits and floating over a dial cut in the shape of the bitcoin symbol for a 3-dimensional effect. Diamond cut hands complete the design, with the seconds hand incorporating the Bitcoin symbol.

It's made of the highest quality Stainless Steel (316L), mainly used in the high tech & aerospace industries where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Extremely resistant and highly easy to polish, maintains its beauty even in the harshest of environments. Subtly finished, it combines three different polishing techniques: brush, satin, and gloss polishing.

Inside, The CRYPTOMAT is powered by a beautifully finished and precise mechanical self-winding Japan-made skeleton movement of 21 Jewels, featuring 21600 vibrations per hour and a 42-hour power reserve.

All models come with a matching 316L stainless steel strap with a butterfly clasp as well as an additional classical authentic leather strap."

I am selling mine #019 out of 200. I know of only very high profile well known figures in Bitcoin that have these watches, these were sold out very quickly. I am open to offers, the company in the tweet below stated one sold for ~3 BTC.

#19 is mint condition, I have only taken it out of the box to take pictures and it kept it in its original box with its original card and additional straps.

https://twitter.com/cryptomatic_io/status/1296344589868003331 - A reply to a Tweet of mine from the company (Cryptomatic) that produced these. You could only buy them with BTC.

https://denarius.pro moved to a faster server, grafana and influxdb running a lot smoother. Small market is built up on BlockDX if anyone wants to try some atomic swaps.
