We have quite a few people sitting on over $50M++ that could retire in the click of a button.
But honestly, I am kind of nervous as well.

My humble opinoin (pulled out from my behind) is that what we are seeing now is the actual effects of Europe and the latest press. It takes time for people to decide to invest and then to find out how and execute it. Everything before this week was just "internal" with the already initiated driving the price in anticipation.

I think someone mentioned there was a holiday in Europe yesterday,so perhaps we'll be seeing a stronger rally today.I'm thinking not further than 109-113 for a rally and normalizing around 107.
Yep, today is the first workday since Thursday last week (which for many is only a "half workday").

I'm wondering what the average amount of money is those standing in line at MtGox are going to invest in Bitcoin. $1000 perhaps?
Verification is not even necessary for such small sums except from Europe. I would say any European that bothers to try his luck with Gox has on average $25,000 or more to invest. Otherwise they would just get verified with Bitstamp, which happens in about 2 days.. 8,500 * $25,000 = $212 million and counting. Yes, it will take us to $200. I don't think so. Simply because of one thing: Ignorance. A huge chunk of the newcomers are most likely not very educated regarding what exchange to use and they just pick the biggest, if they know about the alternatives at all. At least that's the impression I have got from speaking to the ones I know.

They do have a holiday on Monday in Europe but I believe the Japanese banks are open tomorrow (today in Japan) so there will be new money arriving into MtGox very soon assuming it was sent Thursday / Friday.
On that topic: The banking hours in Japan should already have begun.

What happens on Easter Sunday night on Bitstamp, stays on Bitstamp. Right, Mr. Manipulator?
Lol,I was thinking the same. There have been a lot of purchases and highs on there or Bitfloor.I suspect 100 will be hit tomorrow through Bitstamp. It's gonna be fun to see what happens when the banks open on monday and tuesday. I guess most european banks have a holiday on monday, right?

"It's a billion dollar market with charts and graphs and everything" Loved that one. Really gives you a high level of trust that there are graphs... and everything. On the whole, I thought it was a really good presentation of Bitcoin. The segment on the nightly news show a few days ago was better, but this kind of hourly publicity is really, really valuable.

If bitcoin price was 1,000,000 today, there would be a need for $2,000,000,000 to $3,000,000,000 in fresh money every day, because that's how much miners would spend in electricity costs.
Thats 2 billion dollars, per day. Close to trillion per year.
The electricity for mining riggs becomes a multi billion dollar industry just because the value of the market goes up? What are you talking about, good sir?

In your situation I would just hold. $300 isn't going to change your life. If it goes to zero, no big deal. If it goes to the moon, congrats. You have very little skin in the game so you may as well hang on unless you really need the cash to get by.
And even if you get in that situation, think twice! I regret that I choose to cash out my bitcoins at $12 because I was broke at the time.

I have had 3 interesting talks the last week.
1. A guy in my church asked me about this thing called Bitcoin and how to buy it. 2. Another guy from my church asked me the same thing. 3. I called a friend that I helped buying bitcoins back at $12, telling him not to throw away or sell his computer. He was a bit surprised to hear that the wallet on his computer was worth a lot more than the computer costed when he bought it.

When non-tech friends of mine are asking me for help on how to get bitcoins, that's a signal for me that we still have not peaked. The current drop or flat-out could just be because of the long weekend. No banks are open (at least not in Sweden) during friday-monday this weekend.
That is the exact opposite reasoning of what to do when being told of the legendary story about a rich man who owns stocks hearing the elevator boy wanting to buy stocks before the great crash of the market. Seems like everything is bullish right now. When my mom want's to buy, then I know that it's time to sell. This is NOT mass adoption, not by a long shot.

In my humble opinion, the fiat you get for 3 bitcoins is really not that much of a game changer in the average persons life. However, the potential value is so much greater.
If you would have had 300 or even 3000 bitcoins, it would be another thing because that extra fiat might change your situation right now in a noticable way.
Just hold. Buy and hold.
