681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new delhi, india : Bitcoin gold sold as bitcoin to uneducated investors ! on: June 24, 2018, 11:25:50 AM
The problem is that in India there is a lot of unaccounted (black) money in the hands of corrupt government employees and bureaucrats. These people are always looking for ways to invest their money. The government is now screening most of the real estate, bullion, and mutual fund purchases, so these people want to invest elsewhere. And Bitcoin came up as one of the top options.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ?? on: June 24, 2018, 11:21:32 AM
Depends on where you are living. If you are living in some third world country, then there is always a risk of some thief robbing your bullion coins and bars. Also, there is a risk of the government seizing your bullion hoard.
683  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: June 24, 2018, 11:19:41 AM
What will happen on BTC if the government will said that all the bitcoin holder have to pay their tax??
Maybe the expansion of BTC community will get low than usual.

Bitcoin holders are not supposed to pay their tax, unless there is a wealth tax in your country. The income tax and capital gains tax needs to be paid only if you are converting your coins to fiat (at a profit).
684  Economy / Economics / Re: How much more fall is possible ? on: June 24, 2018, 11:18:27 AM
How much more fall is possible in price of bitcoins?

There was a 80% drop in the prices, during the last major correction (2013 December - 2016 January). So something similar can be expected. That would mean that the prices can drop by 80% from the peak pricing of $20,000 per coin which was reached on 2017 December. And we can expect the correction to last until 2020 January.
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $400 on: June 20, 2018, 03:10:15 AM
As long as it doesn't go to $399, I'm happy.

LOL.. same here as well. These sort of FUD-pushers remain silent when the prices are going up. But when the prices go down for 1-2 months, they become hyper-active again. In this thread, the first part was OK. But the second part (about the police raids and all) gave it away..
686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: June 20, 2018, 03:08:12 AM
I read that they are investigating criminal price manipulations over Bitcoin. Manipulation of prices is really possible ? This happened before ?

Manipulation was possible in 2013, when 90% of the trade volume was concentrated on Mt Gox and BTC-e. But now there are hundreds, if not thousands of exchanges and the trade volume is more evenly distributed. Now it is much harder to manipulate the prices.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ?? on: June 20, 2018, 03:06:27 AM
The advantage with gold and silver is that their prices can't be controlled by the central banks. And they are somewhat protected against inflation due to the principle of limited supply. But at the same time, that doesn't make them immune to robberies or government asset seizure.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds has the same market cap as Bitcoin! on: June 20, 2018, 03:02:37 AM
Bitcoin is a baby in a big world!
Bitcoin is not as big as people think!

You can't directly compare the McDonald's share to Bitcoin. Because the vast majority of the McDonald's shares are held by the promoters and they are not free-float. The volume of shares available for trading is much lower than the total supply. That is not the case with BTC.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: June 20, 2018, 03:00:28 AM
Ever since bitcoin price started dropping, most of the threads i see here are : is bitcoin dying?, will bitcoin go green again?, should i hold or sell? etc. I laugh when i see such threads. Every business has a window of opportunity when the market is ripe to enter. This is the time to invest more in bitcoin. Every good investor see every dip as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hold. The weak ones see dips and they start to shiver; selling all their bitcoins, even including their altcoins. Please community members, the way we are handling this drop in bitcoin will scare new members from even investing in the coin which will cause a further decrease in the price and the unexpected might happen. Let's have a healthy discussion about our coin even in hard times, and it will attract more people to invest and eventually pump the price again. Friends what do you also think?

The problem is that most of the people here believe that Bitcoin is something that will make them rich over-night. They are not ready to wait for 6 months or 1 year to get their returns. They want their returns in 2 or 3 days. And such people expect Bitcoin to go up always.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: June 16, 2018, 07:20:04 PM
In absolute terms, there is no free method to earn tokens or coins. Even if you enroll for any airdrop program, you need to spend some time and effort in filling up the form, in order to receive the coins.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in altcoin? on: June 16, 2018, 07:15:55 PM
Some of the altcoins do have better future potential when compared to Bitcoin. BTC is already having a market cap of close to $130 billion and it is close to the saturation mark. But there are alts which are having market cap of less than 100 million USD, and some of them have the potential to give 10x or 20x returns for the investors.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dark net druggist identified by BTC transactions on: June 16, 2018, 06:53:51 PM
In 2017, two drug vendors in Denmark were caught by the authorities after their Bitcoin transactions were traced. That event generated a lot of attention, and I though that the druggies no longer used Bitcoin for their sales.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 16, 2018, 06:41:39 PM
Bank investment means all investments such as mutual funds, fixed deposits, bonds.etc, right? Even then, when compared to crypto investments they looks less risky. Crypto has lost 70% of its value during the last 6 months.
694  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about Hitler? on: June 09, 2018, 06:19:54 PM
Hitler is the person who is responsible for the depopulation of Europe. He massacred some 60 million people (mostly Slavs such as Russians and Poles, but also some 5-6 million Ashkenazi Jews). His actions are responsible for the demographic problems faced by Europe right now.
695  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: June 09, 2018, 06:17:48 PM
My answer is FEW MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS BUT THERE ARE TERROR GROUPS FROM OTHER REGIONS AS WELL. Its just the media that highlights acts of terror being committed by Muslims and those by non Muslims are ignored in entirety. Some of the non Muslim terror groups are as under:

1.  Aum Shinrikyo:  Founded by Japanese dooms day cult and comprising of elements from Hinduism and Buddhism.
2.  Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam: Founded in 1970 to fight for separate homeland for Tamil minority of Sri Lanka.
3.  National Liberation Army Columbia:  Leftist Guerrilla group that advocates for establishment of Christian communist regime.
4.  Shining Path: Guerrilla Rebel Organisation founded in 1970 by Guzman (a philosophy teacher) who wanted to replace Bourgeois Democracy.
5.  Revolutionary Struggle:  Greek group founded in 2003 and was notorious for its attacks on Greek government buildings and US Embassy in Athens.

The above mentioned organisations are just a few, while the list continues to grow longer.

Your post doesn't makes any sense. Aum Shinrikyo is a cult and it is not based on any religion. The LTTE is an ethno-centric organization and it doesn't support any particular religion. The ELN is a Marxist militia group, which is mostly supported by the peasants and laborers. It doesn't enjoy the support of any particular religious group. Shining Path and Revolutionary Struggle are very similar to the ELN.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: May 23, 2018, 11:04:45 AM
Yeah... looks possible. And IMO, the recovery phase is going to start after the next Bitcoin block reward halving, which is going to occur in less than 2 years from now (736 days to be precise).
697  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US Dollar Too Volatile? on: May 11, 2018, 07:56:43 AM
This is a very complex question, not the least because in most cases the volatility is measured based on the comparison with the United States Dollar. But at least when compared to the other currencies, you can say that the USD is quite stable.
698  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto currencies make local currencies disappear? on: May 11, 2018, 07:49:02 AM
There is a chance that some form of digital money will replace the physical cash in the future. But even if that is going to happen, it is going to take at least 50 to 100 years. And who knows how the technology will advance by then. The concept of currency may become obsolete.
699  Economy / Economics / Re: Panic selling can contribute to bitcoin price going down? on: May 11, 2018, 07:26:43 AM
Panic selling never happens without a reason. There will be a trigger behind every panic selling episode. And this time, I believe that the trigger came from the Mt Gox trustee. He has declared that he is going to liquidate more than 200,000 coins, which belong to the Mt Gox users.
700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking $20,000 again? on: May 11, 2018, 07:23:08 AM
This is the problem when you guys keep your targets to unrealistic levels. For breaching the $20,000 per coin level, first we need to breach the $10,000 per coin level. Bitcoin came very close, to around $9,920 per coin, but ultimately the bears had the last laugh.
