Yes, you can purchase a new planet just by claiming your faucet every until your reach the proper buy threshold.
This because planets are purchased through your in account balance (top-up deposits) and not via direct Bitcoin payments.
Can I withdraw funds with Earth planet?
Starting from 9th July 2017 is no more possible because it is now required the planet Mars or higher in order to withdraw. However, you can still earn free bitcoins and then purchase a higher planet for free, allowing you to withdraw the funds with no external deposits needed.
