61  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 187 blocks solved! on: July 18, 2016, 11:23:50 AM
Is the number next to "last update" the shares from the current session? Also, is the number next to "best ever" the total shares from the last time a block was found? thanks

So renting 1ph for a couple of hours isnt a good idea? Better to rent say, 100th for a week?
66  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 187 blocks solved! on: July 17, 2016, 09:15:14 AM
So how long will 1ph take to reach 213billion shares that we are aiming for?
67  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 187 blocks solved! on: July 17, 2016, 08:44:28 AM
Sorry for noob question but what does best share mean? Are we trying to aim for the 50+billion mark?

ETA should be visible to all users. It helps a lots when you're going to increase or decrease the price.

ETA use to be available for all orders but, NH removed it because they felt it gave too much information about the BTC balance of the order.
I was told it was a standing request by many users.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=562238.3625

But I do have to say I miss it as well.

Why take out ETA for all users to see? It shows the serious renters vs the troll renters just messing with the prices and leaving.
70  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: iOS Bread Wallet on: July 16, 2016, 01:28:53 AM
why doesn't my account balance with breadwallet fluctuate with the current btw market prices?

Your BTC balance doesn't change but your Fiat balance should.

So if i have say 1 btc today at $665.00 and tomorrow the price of btc goes up to $1000.00, do I stay at $665 or do I profit?

My brain agrees with you -- my heart goes out to the young man...

I will no longer distract the thread -- albeit, he IS a miner here...

I just wish we could help in some meaningful way -- I just don't see how that is realistically possible...

How much was stolen?

28 BTC was stolen from me.
Took long to save that up and have it taken in a second

which wallet were you using?
How easy is it for hackers to steal btc from your wallet? Can they steal even with all the verification security you have on the wallet? Makes me wonder if I should continue leaving my btc in my wallet for long periods of time. It feels like its a nightmare just waiting to happen.

Keep your Bitcoins in a wallet you have control over. NOT in an online wallet like blockchain!!  And you should be fine.  Unless you get some bad malware on the machine where you keep your wallet.

which wallet is better than blockchain?

75  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: July 14, 2016, 08:29:04 AM
Are the NiceHash employees the ones raising the bid??

No, we are not placing orders, it is not our core business to mine coins, our core business is to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure, implementing free market hashing power marketplace.

Once I get a good bid in, the price skyrockets wayy over .01 and all my miners leave, does it ever end???

Bidding orders are meant to be competitive. If you need fixed price orders, choose "Fixed order type", see also https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqb0.

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

Sorry, I am not going to choose "Fixed order type" and overpay 0.3+ btc if I can get it for a reasonable bid. Nice try. Moving my business elsewhere.

Turning off my rentals and S7's, donkeys (employees?) on NH keep raising prices to rent even though price of bitcoin still hovering around ~$655, will wait and see what happens next
77  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: July 14, 2016, 07:13:48 AM
Are the NiceHash employees the ones raising the bid?? this is ridiculous.. why is it that the prices to rent is so high??, BITCOIN PRICE is still around $640-$655 why in the world are the marketplace prices skyrocketting?? this website seems rigged. Once I get a good bid in, the price skyrockets wayy over .01 and all my miners leave, does it ever end??? miningrigrentals might be better
78  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Reducing noise S7 on: July 13, 2016, 11:55:51 AM
The highest i've had my s7s is 70 temp, and when that happens I lower frequency down to 600-650 and leave the fan at 100% and it brings it down to 64-67. My miners stay around 60-67 all day, but when it sometimes reaches high 60's i will open the door that the miners are in and it usually drops it down to 62-64. I've had the miners for about 3 weeks now and no problems.

edit: saw your second picture, make sure to add a back up pool just in case the primary pool server goes down.

was FUPOOL trying to orphan the block found by ckpool?
80  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Reducing noise S7 on: July 12, 2016, 08:15:23 AM
I like the insulated duct idea but will the whole S7 fit inside it? Also is it a fire hazard if its inside and gets too hot? Let us know how it goes OP, and please update with pictures. Thank you.
