1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay Bitcoin Debit card + Giveaway on: October 15, 2017, 09:32:49 AM
Getting verry worried. Unloaded money out of my card and sent to a Bitcoin address. Never arrived.

Cryptopay reckons I never sent it WTF? They sent an email confirmation!!!

And now my account history has been disabled!

Not a good look. Not at all good.

If this is true, thanks for the report and good of you to share this here. I have just $26 on my Cryptopay account and I'm keeping it that way, thanks to my being financially conservative and cautious. If unloading is not possible, then the cards are at risk of being declined at merchants and ATMs. Will not use their services until they sort this out.

Good thing I didn't join their ICO. Those who did invest might see their funds stuck in a company with an uncertain future.

That is most concerning is that the USD account page has been disabled. So in effect I have no record of the card unload into this account. At least now I had a reply from support to confirm the amount. This really was a very reliable service up until now. I am still going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Don't know where else to post this. Kraken seems to totally ignore support requests.

I am in Australia. The Kraken bank account form asks for an IBAN number. Australia does not use IBAN. We use SWIFT. As a result I cannot add a bank account for withdrawals.

Please can someone fro Kraken tell me what to do?

Thanks

Actually, the EU SEPA and the Australian NPP are "built" on top of SWIFT.
All you need Is the SWIFT/BIC code, which you can find here:
http://www.theswiftcodes.com/australia/
The IBAN is a combination of your banks sort code, BSB and your account number, your bank should provide that.

Unless you want to withdraw 10k+ this is going to be extremely expensive, with Swift, intermediatary and finally conversion charges.

Technically speaking, yes.

Practically speaking. no.

The local settling banks are not equipped to process inward payments into Australia on an IBAN.

I have tried this in the past (with two local banks) and it is not advisable.

The Australian banking system is set up to use a SWIFT code and a bank account number. It is not equipped to deconstruct an IBAN.
