3  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [WAVES]. Ultimative Crypto-Token Blockchain Plattform. on: July 13, 2022, 12:25:37 PM

So the Campaign is now Officially Paused.

Jupp, danke trotzdem.

Bayern Munich are not holding back after landing Gravernberch, Mazraoui and Mané. Julian Nagelsmann is one tough manager which English teams are scared of because he crushed any teams that stands on his way in the Champions league. If you observe the Bundesliga giant, they only go for tough and good player which their team needs, not just some random player. Nagelsmann next target is Laimar from Leipzig which I don't thing Bayern could have him. Julian Nagelsmann never gives up on a Chase because he managed one best team in the world and some vital players wished they played for his team.
It remains to be seen if they actually will be able to crush the international top teams in the Champions League next year. Bayern had a fairly disappointing season and they need to advance to the Champions League final next year to make up for it. I have no doubt they will dominate the national league another year for sure, especially if they manage to purchase more top players from their direct opponents like Leipzig.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 18, 2022, 10:32:00 AM
It's still too early to talk about which couples will be the most interesting, although if you look only at the names Borussia - Leverkusen, it will probably be out of competition. In the pair Frankfurt - Bavaria, in my opinion, Frankfurt is in great danger  Grin as Bayern will try to prove that this pair does not play the winner of the Euro Cup with the loser of the Euro Cup, but the current champion with an ordinary club.
I expect already a clear statement from Bayern in their first game in Frankfurt. This won't be the easiest pairing for Bayern, but they'll probably get a 3-0 win already which will devastate the competition from early on. Borussia vs Leverkusen is a top game if you look at the ranking last year. Somehow I expect one of these two teams to perform poorly next season. Cologne vs Schalke and the Berlin Derby look more interesting to me overall.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Floki inu (Token prediction) - Forecast 2023, 2024, 2025 (Free) on: June 18, 2022, 04:38:39 AM
I don't have a very high opinion of copycat memecoins like Floki in and also not of those "price predictions".

First of all to be successful floki will need marketing, a good plan and dev team and a favorable overall market. I don't see any of those point fulfilled. Maybe this will change in the future, but I highly doubt it.

Then those predictions. They are normally fed with the data from the past to tell you future prices. Those models are very simplified and do not take into account new innovations or unexpected events which can heavily influence the price in both directions.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Qualifying Games For Qatar on: June 18, 2022, 04:29:11 AM
Africa has some great talent, many countries there have a great level of soccer.

But I'm not sure which countries in Africa are being left out of the world cup because there are only 9 slots. Maybe I'm missing some. Also, if you look at the history, no African team has yet advanced to the semi-finals, ever: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_nations_at_the_FIFA_World_Cup

It's not about the size of the continent, it's about how many countries are great at soccer.

For example, you mentioned Europe, which has the largest amount of spots. It's still very common to hear about amazing countries not being able to qualify. For example, Italy, which have won the world cup 4 times in the past, couldn't qualify for the 2022 world cup. So, even though they have a lot of spots, it's still extremely competitive to get one. There are just a lot of great soccer playing countries in Europe. If you look at history, an European country has won the world cup 5 times, and 13 other countries have been in the semi-final: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_nations_at_the_FIFA_World_Cup
I agree with you, one cannot just look at numbers of countries on an continent or number of population. Of course Asia has much more inhabitants, but the two largest countries India and China are practically not present in the football World. African teams are very passionate, but so far haven't had much success in world cups. You could give them more slots, which of course would increase the chance that a few teams could come further into the tournament, but it wouldn't raise the quality  of the tournament probably.

I would actually favor a more dynamic mode of qualification, where only a few best countries directly qualify per continent (say half of the current numbers) and then the remaining spots are given in intercontinental playoffs or even a small tournament, like a mini B-world cup  Wink

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 17, 2022, 04:32:58 PM
who is in front after the first matchday ?
St Pauli vs Nürnberg looks like the top game considering the ranking of the last season. This might end in a draw. It is a bit random to look for a best team after one match day, but I think Kaiserslautern and Darmstadt will win their games and potentially taking the lead.
For the whole year, it might be finally the time for Hamburg to reach a spot in the top2 and to go back to the Bundesliga.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 17, 2022, 02:14:33 PM
Irresponsible or he have an idea and thinks that he can just ignore it and escape from spending it from his gambling, or he's an addicted

gamblers who doesn't care about anything, just gamble now and let the future comes and dictates his fate, I'm just wondering what if fate

give him luck and allow him to win. Instead of being caught he returned it but pocketed huge amount of profits.. Cool
Of course absolutely irresponsible behaviour. This guy should be punished and maybe treated for his gambling addiction.

In the same time I'm wondering how many times something like this actually works out fine and you never read in the news about it. Like he actually wins a substantial amount and pays back the original money. Or he just covers up that he lost the money somehow
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lido Staked ETH (stETH) is depegging, is this another disaster? on: June 17, 2022, 09:30:02 AM
Honestly it’s one surprise after another. With Luna failing who knew we would get another catastrophic even so quickly.
The successful atrack on Luna and UST initiates a new dangerous and deadly trend in crypto. Attackers well plan to attack and trigger liquidation, depeg, bank-run and collapse of a whole project, platform and ecosystem.
But can this even be compared to LUNA/UST? Here we have a completely different scenario. There might not even be a coordinated attack. I mean it could be an attack where the attacker is selling stETH dropping the price, but maybe it's just market insecurity after the big dump, and many people just want to get back their "good old fiat" and don't want to hold crypto in any form. (In that case it could be a buying opportunity for stETH?
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON 2023 qualifiers. on: June 17, 2022, 09:02:13 AM
I think Nigeria is one of the strongest teams in Africa. They are able to play well against European and American teams. On the other hand, teams like Tunisia, Cameroon, and Morocco will not be able to put up a strong resistance against European or American teams. My guess is that all the teams in Africa except Senegal will be eliminated in the first round. Although Ghana is good enough, but I don't think they can beat Group H's Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
Yea, this is exactly what I was thinking. Nigeria would have a good chance of qualification for the final round in almost all the World Cup groups. Tunisia, Cameroon and Morocco however will need a very good performance, lots of luck or a miracle to achieve the same thing. It is perfectly possible that none of the African teams will survive the group stage this year...
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Play To Earn can make 50x - 100x? on: June 17, 2022, 08:46:22 AM
I really don't understand what is the use of NFTs and what are the benefits of holding them in the long run, apart from the hype surrounding it, I see almost no utility.

I think NFT is also one of those trends in the market that comes when the bull market is dominating and its hype will end when the bear market arrives. Now many NFT have dropped a lot and none of the hype stands out.
I do see a use case for them as "digital collectible", however that would require some form of standard for NFTs which currently doesn't exist. Now you can create NFTs on different blockchains in different forms (weblink that are without guarantee to work in a couple of years...) but nobody knows what will happen with all those in a few years. To hold NFTs for a longer time is currently extremely risky and I doubt it will pay off, most of them will probably go to 0.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON 2023 qualifiers. on: June 17, 2022, 08:16:07 AM
Anything I realized Nigeria isn't participation in the world cup, it sadden my soul especially as it's our rival that kicked us out of the tournament. It's not surprised that Ghana could knock Nigeria out of the qualifiers because then the Nigeria professional football players were playing badly they could not even score a goal at the Ghanaian home but when they came over to Nigeria thyyhasd a game played and followed it.

They just had to scored then defense which they did very well. We just have to wait until the AFCON 2023 qualifiers resume to watch our boys play and thankfully our players are now playing good football even though it's too early to judge them but I believe they are desperate to win some silver wears.
It is a pity that Nigeria didn't qualify. I blame the mode for qualification of the African teams. All African teams have to go through the final knock-out duels where Nigeria had a close encounter with Ghana but subsequently lost due the away goal rule. I am sure that Nigeria would have beaten almost all other of the final 10 teams (except maybe Senegal) and qualify for the World Cup. I doubt that teams like Cameroon or Tunisia will show a good performance like Nigeria would have shown at the World Cup, but maybe they can surprise us.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Will Not Devalue To Zero on: June 17, 2022, 06:48:54 AM
Sure with the forking coming up, there will be some change. However ETH will always have a value/ just right now the price is down, but it only means good time to buy in and get more.
~
Do you think ETH Will be around for a long time? or do you think it will go down to zero ?
In the crypto world there are only months, sometime even weeks or days between "XX is the future and new world currency" and "XX is dead and will go to 0". I remeber a couple of months ago, many people were convinced the (ETH-BTC) flippening is only a matter of time and now ETH is supposed to go to zero?  Cheesy
The fork and update causes insecurity in the market, investors don't like that. If you are convinced the update goes through without larger trouble, then now could be a good time to buy, because in that case the price will go up after. However, it could get also worse only time will tell.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: June 17, 2022, 06:36:36 AM
A league intended to replace friendlies ended up with the results of friendlies games. Unpredictable, random, weird...
France will end up 4th or 3rd in best cases. England too.
Meanwhile Turkey, Greece and Lettonie are the only ones to almost guarantee the 1st place before 2 rounds from the end of the group stage.
Turkey and also Greece seem to be in the wrong league anyway. They are not a first class teams, but their opponents were only small countries with almost amateur teams (no offence to the small countries please Wink)
Latvia won all 4 games, but they are in the bottom league. Positive surprises (for me) were also Norway (who are dominiating their league with difficult opponents such as Sweden and Serbia) and Bosnia (who go good results against Finland and Romania. I believe we never saw Bosnia at a larger tournament, I hope they can qualify for the next Euro Cup)
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 17, 2022, 05:27:35 AM
After the results of the Nations League I actually expected that this would have consequences for the odds at the bookmakers, but nothing of that is true. Everything still seems a bit the same. England are also still among the favorites to win the World Cup, despite a 0-4 thrashing against Hungary at home. Bookmakers see it more as a kind of snapshot. It is tough for the players, playing a strong tournament in the middle of the competition. EPL players will experience this in particular.
I guess bookmakers count in the possibility that England and France are still in their experimentation and preparation period and did not offer their best team for the Nations League. Also betting on the popular, "stronger" teams (like France and England) in more popular in general, so why should they raise their odds for them? If you think that the Nations LEague does have a serious impact for the World Cup I would look at the odds of the other favorite teams like Brazil or Argentina, if their odds weren't lowered could might find a good bet.
