61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 02, 2022, 08:29:00 AM
on a good day, even wales can be beaten. ukraine proved yesterday that they can win away on the island in front of a full stadium.
with all the world events in and around ukraine, it brings the team and supporters even closer together, making this team even more unpredictable.
yesterday wales also lost 1-2 away to poland in the nations league and poland plays similar football like ukraine...
Poland is slightly stronger than Ukraine (FIFA ranks 21 vs 24). The Poland vs Wales game seemed fairly balanced (15-14 shots), Wales was even leading 0-1 and Poland scored 2 goals in the last 20 minutes. Also the game took place in Poland.
What does this mean now for Wales vs Ukraine? I guess not much  Cheesy
We will see an open game where both teams have good chances to win.
The odds are:
Wales vs Ukraine 2.6/3.0/2.9, which is practically 50-50
Personally I'd prefer Wales at the world cup, just for the Wales vs England derby in the first round  Wink
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 02, 2022, 05:22:25 AM
The truth is that I did not expect such an easy victory for Ukraine, I think nobody expected it.

We'll see how the match against Wales will play out. I wanted Scotland to win but it didn't happen.
Yes, given the fact that Scotland was actually favored by the bookmakers, it seemed like a walk in the park for Ukraine  Cheesy
Wales will be a much harder opponent for Ukraine. The FIFA ranks are: Scotland 39, Ukraine 24 and Wales 18. I think the Wales vs Ukraine game could be the open games that everybody expected from Scotland!
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 01, 2022, 07:48:26 PM
Scotland 0 - 1 Ukraine

Ball possession:

Ukraine = 58%

Scotland = 42%
It is looking very good for Ukraine. They are ahead with one goal and the better team. Scotland will need to add a bit to their game if they want to keep a chance for qualification. Current odds for qualification are Scotland 3.6 and Ukraine 1.25. I think we'd rather see a 2-0 than a 1-1, but I don't expect more than 1 goal in the remaining 30 minutes.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 01, 2022, 03:18:44 PM
Haaland's case is interesting, I think the one that City needed came to him, Pep Guardiola is sure to be the happiest of this new member, for Dortmund it is a great loss, in my case I would never have left him to go.
The problem of Dortmund is, that they are not good enough to consistently compete on the highest level for the trophies. A player like Haaland wants to win those trophies and that means that Dortmund can't offer him an attractive long term perspective. Such world-class players are drawn into the few "big name" clubs that Europe has to offer. It is understandable from the players perspective as well and also it is the right decision financially.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 01, 2022, 03:15:23 PM
I cannot judge whether it will be an explosive duel or not. But it will definitely be an interesting one. Both teams are playing in the 2nd Bundesliga and therefore known each other. Hansa Rostock won both games against Kiel last season. In my opinion there is no favourite between them.
Hm, I am slightly confused  Huh
Rostock plays against Lubeck, Kiel vs Mannheim

There are no games that immediately catch my attention. On 2nd sight, from the point of view of the 2nd Bundesliga the following could be interesting games where a surprise is possible:
Magdeburg vs Frankfurt
Kaiserlautern vs Freiburg
Braunschweig vs Hertha

All 3 of the 2nd league teams just relegated up from the 3rd league and they got attractive opponents, but not opponents that are completely out of their league (like Bayern or Dortmund). Same is also valid for Regensburg vs Cologne
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: World Cup Groups. on: June 01, 2022, 06:35:31 AM
Nigeria lose again to an international friendly game against Mexico under a new a coach jose Peseiro , this is their first game under this new coach. I wouldn't want to use their first game to rate the new coach if he is capable of building the team strong again, other game coming will if the new coach is work or not.
This looks like it was an interesting game! I was just checking how those teams compare and to my surprise Mexico is on FIFA rank 9! Nigeria is 34th and seeming like a clear outsider in this match up, so their loss shouldn't come as a big surprise.
It will be interesting to see if Mexico can live up to the expectations of their current FIFA rank in the world cup. They definitely should be able to survive their group (Argentina, Poland, Saudi-Arabia) to play a potential round of 16 game against France.

The best ranked African team is Senegal at rank 20. Based on the ranks it already would be a good result if 1 African team can survive the group stage in the world cup.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 01, 2022, 05:15:34 AM
~~~
Germany is always a better candidate than England, in the World Cup it transforms.
Hahaha, yea this is usually/historically true  Grin
I wonder if this is still valid though. This was more like a thing in the 1970s-90s. Now football is so comercialized and the English Premier League is (arguebly) the strongest in Europe. Even if many players there are not English but from different countries, this also shapes and influences the English team. I think it's time that England finally wins some big international title.
Germany on the other hand has had mnay problems since their 2014 win. I don't see them overcome those in the next few years.
short squeeze incoming 20.5 up to 57 usd.
time of prediction: 2022-05-23 2:07, 5.9 usd.
On target.
~
Nice prediction! I hope for you you acted like it Wink
But do you really think it'll go much higher to $20 and even >$50? I think it depends too much on the overall market. If BTC goes to $40k then anything might be possible, but if it goes to $20k then also Waves will crash. I only see limited potential to really abuse the situation here.
If the BR can be reached then I don't see Waves/USDN with much problems anymore. Will there be a bankrun? I am not sure. People are locking their Stablecoins on Vires and most "paper hands" are out of their Vires deposits using vTokens...
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 31, 2022, 12:40:53 PM
How does it work with the odds for draw here since there cannot be a draw in this match. A winner must be decided. Is the result of only the 90 minutes considered?
This would be a bit strange bet because you could lose the bet even if your team wins in penalties for example.
Yes, the odds are usually for the result after 90 minutes. Of course, if it's a draw then we have extra time and maybe penalties, but the bet would be concluded after the regular time. You can also bet on qualification, currently odds here are Scotland 1.6 and Ukraine 2.2, so roughly 60%-40% in favor of Scotland
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 31, 2022, 12:07:38 PM
Mbappe played 8 games in the Champions League and only scored 6 goals
lewandowski played 10 games and scored 13 goals
vinicius junior played 13 games and only scored 4 goals
I think this composition of players is very strange. having left out lewandowski is something strange, what criteria did they use to choose these players?
Looks like a gigantic winner's bonus to me. It often goes like that, the winning team gets at least 3-6 players guaranteed. Maybe they couldn't find any better player from Real Madrid, so this was the mot logical position to include for them. Of course you are right, that overall this is not the strongest team, but probably the most successful in terms of outcome of the tournament
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 31, 2022, 12:02:51 PM
Sympathy can't win matches. And I find it strange that some people here claim that Ukraine will have support from the crowd. The match will take place at Glasgow. It will be ridiculous to think that the Scottish fans would support Ukraine over their country, just because a war is going on in that country. Odds were lowered by sportsbooks because of massive amounts of bets in favor of Ukraine. But I am someone who would think and make calculations with my brain (and not with my heart), and I will be placing a bet in favor of Scotland.
I fully agree with you. This is not a friendly game, there is a lot at stake here for both teams. So have the odds for Ukraine been lowered? I just checked bwin and it says 2.25/3.1/3.4 which doesn't seem low for Ukraine, but rather high. Also they haven't changed much in the last weeks. I think Scotland is pretty motivated as they probably want to play their "derby" against Wales after Wink
I just hope we'll see an interesting games with some goals and not just a nervous game.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you see gaming tokens in 5 years from now? on: May 30, 2022, 06:08:27 PM
Play to earn games are now on a decline, Most of the utility token of each games dropped 90% of their value from their all time high. We can see a sharp high's on the chart which is produced by the hype and slow dipping price as time goes on. Games should know how to balance their tokens for them to sustain their ecosystem. There are many play to earn ecosystem designs that I've been seen but none of them sustained their token which makes players and investors lose morale and eventually quit the game.
 5 years from now, I can see a 2nd hype and 2nd generation of games and ecosystem which is greatly improved. Big gaming projects are still developing that's why I can see a great future in play to earn games.
Just because the token dropped 90% doesn't mean the hype is over. The way I see it, many projects were over-hyped and way overpriced. I mean 20 years ago you could purchase full access to a AAA title for like $50-$100. Even if you adjust by inflation, the average user won't be willing to spend much more than maybe double of that on a game. Of course there will be some enthusiats pouring thousands of $ into a single (pay-to-win) game, but this is the exception. Play-to-earn will have to come to similar levels and realize than people won't be spending 3-digits on NFT items or characters just to play the game and then another 4-digits on "land" which gives you some benefits.
Another thing that is needed is some standardization for NFTs, to guarantee ownership by law and have proper NFTs on-chain and not just links to websites which might disappear in the future.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 30, 2022, 05:57:09 PM
a short time ago leipzig won the dfb cup. and yesterday the first round of the dfb cup 2022/2023 was drawn.
bayern munich must go to victoria cologne and dortmund plays away at tsv 1860 munich . and leipzig has to go to teutonia ottensen.
Quelle: https://www.kicker.de/dfb-pokal-1-runde-2022-23/auslosung
Looks like a "typical" first round draw. No big teams playing each other, but lots of opportunities for small teams from the 3rd league (or even lower) to try to topple one of the bigger teams. It will be interesting to see if who (if any) of the Bundesliga teams might fail. My guesses on the most probable candidates are Cologne (in Regensburg), Freiburg (in Kaiserslautern) and Hertha (in Braunschweig). I think the "big" teams (Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund) will all make it without problem.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can crypto go lower than 95% on: May 30, 2022, 04:28:07 PM
Most the favourite projects I have in mind to buy have already lose 80% to 90% of their value, if you are in my shoe would you start buying? I did try to buy piece by piece like 20$ to 30$ range but I still don't know if I am doing the right thing... I have these projects in mind
If you look at past bear markets or "crypto winters" you can see that some projects lost 99% and more and never recovered again. Best is to wait a while until the prices stabilize and form a "bottom" in the chart for a couple of months before jumping in and throwing "good money" into the market. Until then stick with the big coins mainly BTC, ETH, BNB. I doubt that the downtrend is already over, I expect another -50% in BTC in the next months, which can mean up to another -90% for some Alts, but this is just guessing and not investing advice Smiley
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: could TERRA LUNA go back to $1 dollar? on: May 30, 2022, 04:24:07 PM
If the OP is talking about the LUNC then, it will not happen. You will see the big difference between the market supply and market cap which is really huge and I think that getting the price of $0.005 will take 4 - 5 years, others are comparing it to Ethereum Classic which is a huge mistake for holders.
Do Kwon will focus on the new Luna, they will give the new Luna development portion more. Then for LUNC it will probably be left to the market or community. LUNC is a failed project, hoping to return to 1$ just a dream. Lunc has returned to trading on Binance but the price is ruined. The new Luna has also entered, but on Binance it can't be traded yet. Even before entering Binance the price of Luna Baru has already dropped by 60%, perhaps this is due to many sell-offs to recoup losses from Lunc.
I don't think anybody is serious about continuing the "classic" Luna now. The devs started the "new" Luna, which is basically a rollback. Unfortunately they can't rollback the recent events, so they will have to come up with a new, more stable system. They will also need a re-branding, I doubt that any investor will touch projects with this name and history in the next time.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 30, 2022, 04:56:56 AM
I honestly wanted Liverpool to win because I thought they would be a lot more determined after losing the English Premier League title only by 1 point.
But if we think about it, I think we will see that Real Madrid is the more deserving team to win the Champions League just because of the teams that they had to beat on the way to the finals.
Anyway, I hope Liverpool will be able to do better in the next season but I honestly question that because Sadio Mane will not be in the Liverpool squad as it seems right now.
I agree with what you say. I also was rooting for Liverpool, it is a pity to play an amazing year just to be short a single point and one goal in the Champions League final, but such is football. They will have luckier years at some point in the future where they might go out of the year with a couple of titles.
Real Madrid is not an undeserved winner. They also played a great year, beating several teams in the Champions League against bookmaker-odds. Congratulations to them!
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 28, 2022, 07:47:27 PM
The game has been postponed because of what appeared to be problems with the fans. Real have a great squad and everyone is playing today, I think they will win the game but anything can happen in a final. I wish everyone the best of luck, let the better one win!
What a mess, apparantly there were delays when letting the fans into the stadium, now it finally started with more than 35 minutes delay. Things like that shouldn't happen at a final of such a big tournament. But ok, now we can watch Smiley
10 minutes into the game and so far no goal. Liverpool is looking good so far, I am hoping for a goal soon to get a bit more action into it.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA 2.0 is live! on: May 28, 2022, 02:29:42 PM
Ok, good news for some of us I guess  Wink
Well, did anybody really think this is going to trade up high to recover losses? I think the project's names and people are burned for a while, many people won't touch this project for some time now.
They should just wind up Terra/Luna in a controlled way and go back to the drawing board to design a better system before trying to burn more money of their investors...
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 28, 2022, 02:25:13 PM
It won't get too penalties, It will be a wins for Liverpool.
Yes, I'm Manchester United fan but best believe, Paris will be painted RED TONIGHT.
Liverpool will win over real Madrid for me, as it is my final prediction for tonight's Champions League game.
I also think Liverpool will win, likely after 90 minutes
Odds are 2.0/3.7/3.5 Draw and Real Mardid odds are tempting though, there is a feeling of "anything goes" in the air after Real Madrid's performances against other top teams. I doubt that we will see as many goals as in the last games of Real Madrid though (at least 4 total goals in the last 4 games). Finals are rarely rich of goals and the most entertaining games.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 28, 2022, 02:19:45 PM
It is difficult to assess the shape of the Ukrainian national team now, many players have been without a game for months and this will certainly affect their physical form. It’s not worth talking about the psychological state at all, Scotland in this situation looks like a favorite. If Ukraine can win, it will be a huge feat, and a very big miracle. But to be honest, I don't even know what Ukraine will be capable of in the final part if they manage to beat Scotland.
Having been inactive for a long time, of course, will affect the performance of the Ukrainian players, indeed, Scotland will benefit from qualifying for the world cup in Qatar. but it's true that because their country's condition is not good, it could make the fighting spirit of the Ukrainian players increase rapidly to be able to make their country proud on the football stage.
it will be a very tough match.
How many players of the Ukrainian team have been inactive? Surely there are quite a few that play in other European top leagues? It is true that all those things will affect Ukraine's performance, but Scotland is no unbeatable opponent either. I think both teams have a fair chance to progress into the final qualification game. Odds for progression are currently at Scotland 1.6 and Ukraine 2.2, so roughly 60-40 in favor of Scotland.
