1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 149 Bitmain Antminer S9i w/ Power Supply APW3++ in Canada on: October 04, 2018, 11:14:00 PM
Oh well another deal gone.

Phillip, as I wrote on the first post "We can consider using an escrow service." This is due to a decision of my business partner who prefer to receive another way of payment and I cannot convince him other way. Norm should have asked my partner if he was ok with using an escrow service before contacting you. I apologize for the confusion as there are too many parties involved.

3  Economy / Services / Re: Crack my bitcoin wallet address and get 0.155 btc + 0.5BTC on: September 15, 2017, 12:43:13 PM
Is that possible for you to provide me walet.dat file I just want to brute force that wallet.dat, as I am really confused, how to use encrypted data provided by you? Please provide that encrypted wallet.dat file thanks

Good try. You can use the mkey with btcrecover as outlined above.

Also, does anyone have any time approximations for bruteforcing according to password length? Such as

5 char = xx min
6 char = xx min
7 char = xx min
and so on.  doesnt have to be exact in any sense im just trying to wrap my mind around how long it would take (assuming gpu acceleration)

For a case sensitive alphanumeric password (a–z, A–Z, 0–9), using a GPU cracking setup at around 20k pwds/second, it will take:

Length   Time (days)
5      0,5
6      33
7      2038
8      126354

So very difficult without some dictionary guessing.

Butense, can you give any information regarding on how you usually generate passwords? At least in private? This would help reducing enormously the passwords space.
5  Economy / Services / Re: Crack my bitcoin wallet address and get 0.155 btc + 0.5BTC on: September 15, 2017, 04:50:07 AM
I´m constantly having segmentation fault errors when trying to use a wordlist of just 1mb (not even thinking about using crackstation one that´s over 4gbs). I cropped the list removing every non-alphanumerical password, converted from utf8 to ascii or added the --utf8 when running, etc.

Has anyone had success using large wordlists / tokenlists?

I´m running btcrecover under Ubuntu 14.04 with 6 x RX 570s. It works smoothly with small tokenlists over 20kp´s.

Try powertune 2, and start with vlt at 880 increasing with 20 mV steps if unstable. Core around 1200, Mem 2000 and increase or decrease at 25 mhs steps acording stability.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus Launches Mining Motherboard supporting 19 cards - this is getting absurd on: August 20, 2017, 02:07:08 PM
Looks good AF. But 19 GPUs... i would love to see uptime statistics on someone using this.

This. Also I would like to know which miners work already with more than 8 GPUs.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Peerplays, 10 BTC lost in crowdfund? Cannot make the claim... HELP! on: July 15, 2017, 04:13:44 AM
The updates are that apparently the Peerplays crowdfound generated a new key that you have to download, but you could proceed with the checkout and send the bitcoins without downloading it.

Thank you very much for sharing. Did you happen to check does it work also under windows 10?

I have Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming EX-Z270 K4 Motherboard and under win10 I can only have 6 GTX 1060 recognised...

I didn´t check under Windows.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MSI Z270-A PRO and MSI Z270 Gaming Plus both confirmed working with 7GPU on: July 14, 2017, 08:03:51 PM
I can confirm that this two motherboards with 6 PCI-e and 1 m.2 sockets work stable with 7 GPUs.

The setups are the following:

Motherboards: MSI Z270-A PRO and MSI Z270 Gaming Plus
CPU: Intel G3930 2.9Ghz
RAM: DDR3 2133Mhz 4GB
PSU: XFX 750W x2
GPU: MSI Gaming 1060 3GB and 1070 8GB
Riser cables ver 006S / 007S
m.2 to PCI-e adapter

OS: Custom Linux and ethos 1.2.3

BIOS Settings:
PCI Subsystem Settings: PEG0 – Max Link Speed = Gen2
PCI Subsystem Settings: PCI Latency Timer = 96 PCI Bus Clocks
PCI Subsystem Settings: Above 4G Decoding = Enable
Integrated Peripherals: HD Audio Controler = Disabled
Power Management Setup: Restore after AC Power Loss = Power On
Windows OS Configuration: Windows 7 Installation = Disabled

I need to test these same settings with AMD cards but it should also work.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Peerplays, 10 BTC lost in crowdfund? Cannot make the claim... HELP! on: July 06, 2017, 07:33:32 PM
A friend of mine sent 10 BTC to the second round of the Peerplays (PPY) ICO. In the middle of the crowdfund they changed the scheme, at the first time it was enough to keep the bitcoin private key, but then they started generating a new redemption pair. My friend never saved or lost this keypair and only has his bitcoin privkey.

4. CROWDFUND REDEMPTION KEY
This section explains how to locate your Private and Public Redemption Keys. All Crowdfund
participants require a Private Redemption Key to claim their PPY Tokens. The Peerplays Crowdfund ran from Feb 26 to May 14, 2017.

4.1 If you participated in the Crowdfund between Feb 26 and Apr 24:
Your Private Redemption Key is the bitcoin private key that corresponds to the bitcoin address from which you sent your bitcoin to the Peerplays Crowdfund. If you donated from one of the recommended wallets shown on the crowdfund webpage, instructions for how to find this Private Redemption Key are located in the section 5. “RECOMMENDED WALLET” INSTRUCTIONS below.

4.2 If you participated in the Crowdfund between Apr 24 and May 14:
During the Crowdfund you were required to download a unique Redemption Key pair (Private and Public Redemption keys), which was located inside a file called keypair.txt. Find the keypair.txt file on your hard drive, or wherever you have saved it. Open the file and locate the Private Key. This private key is the Private Redemption Key you will need in order to complete Step 3.5 as outlined above. You can simply copy and paste this Private Redemption Key into “Settings/Balance Claims” in your Peerplays core wallet to claim your PPY tokens.

Here are the details of the transaction:

Please help me to redeem my PPY! I’ve invested a big sum for me to support Peerplays, 10 BTC, and cannot claim the balance. I’m not a noob but somehow, I’m an active member of the crypto community... but either I made a mistake or something went mysteriously wrong.

I supported Peerplays donating 10 BTC with this tx:
https://blockchain.info/tx/1350833f1d806342a70a0081625208e820b82974cfbfb53de0a533627c0901d2
Using one of my Electrum addresses 15r8TL98kj4KZpK4xy77MikpZLMHiFh33D
My public redemption key is: 18ZdopU3LMr6R16tLuSBDkbHefEo3xYFiJ

The point is that “somehow” I don’t have the redemption private “keypair.txt”. I can’t believe that I’ve lost it, or that I wasn’t properly prompted to download it at the moment of the donation. I’ve checked my hard drive, the recovered deleted files, etc. It’s not anywhere.

Since a few days earlier the redemption key was the BTC private key, maybe because of that I was confused or somehow didn’t kept the “keypair.txt” file or didn’t download it. This sound very rare to me, because I’m VERY familiar with cryptos since long ago. I can’t believe that this has happened to me.

I would like to ask you if you can help me to recover my 3570 PPY lost. I know that there are rules in the code, but maybe we can find a way to prove that the donor address it’s mine. I may sign a message or provide the private key from 15r8TL98kj4KZpK4xy77MikpZLMHiFh33D Or if you can give me any other suggestion. Any ideas?

This amount of money means a lot for me, I’m almost not sleeping during the last week and I’m desperate. Please help me to get the tokens that I really owe but I can’t claim.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS Mining-P106-6G Coming Soon on: June 18, 2017, 03:16:20 PM
The only thing that makes sense to me is that the card manufacturers are repurposing production yield fallout, cosmetically defective or repaired cards. To incentivize this card, it would have to sell for $100 or mine at like at 60 Mh/s @ 50 watts.

Exactly the same I thought, this cards look like they are dumping refurbished cards with artifacts or other video errors. But as pointed the price makes no sense as it has almost no resale value outside of the mining market.

Here is the "ZOTAC P106-100 Product Introduction Sheet 0.1": http://imgur.com/a/xtxWY

I received the same brochure from two independent hardware suppliers.

RX 400s miners are working under Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop with amdgpu-pro drivers but cards are just mining at 13 sols. Seems like the miner is not applying my config.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 2 ETH on: September 30, 2016, 02:24:03 PM
Could you upload your original stock BIOS?

Sure:
Original:
https://simplemining.net/download/temp/480_asus_4gb_org.rom

Modded:
https://simplemining.net/download/temp/480_asus_4gb_v32.rom

So i want the same hashrate and wattage under linux as i have under windows just to be clear. (or better)

Under windows i run those options to have 100 watts at 24MH.
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x -cvddc 810 -mvddc 850 -cclock 930 -mclock 1700 -powlim -10 -dbg -1

Voltage settings via adl doesn´t work in linux for 400´s series afaik. Run miner without any voltage and clock settings.

Here are some modded files. For the video attached GPU try the 1850 mem one. For the other cards start with 1900 mem and if stable then try with 1925 and 1950 roms.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone yet used any RX 470/460 to mine Ethereum/Ethereum Classic? on: September 27, 2016, 05:17:21 AM
MSI RX 470's 4 GB ($199 NewEgg) are 110-120 watts each measured at the wall. I only have two so far, but I got this number from 60 watts system idle with no cards and 300 watts with both cards while mining. So the math is 300 total - 60 system = 240/2 cards = 120. It does fluctuate a bit (280-300), but 300 is the peak. I am thinking I can run 4 card rigs with a 750 watt PS easily, saving money versus those 1000 watt+ units.

The memory clock on this particular model is set to 1650 factory, but I have already successfully increased it to 1850 and am getting 21.5 MH/s stable. It crashes if I go for 2000 (which yields 22 MH/s before crashing), but I think I can work on the settings and voltages to get it to stabilize. I have only had it a day, so I just want to let it run for awhile to make sure there are no other issues before playing around with it too much more.

120W whit stock settings?

Correct, 120 watts per card is out of the box readings. I am working on tweaking the settings now and think this can either be reduced, or the hash-rate slightly increased.

Is there any progress with your tweaking?

Bump! I´m interested in performance of MSI´s 470 4G. Anyone?
