The Black Arrow store site now displays the following.

BlackArrow, is this temporary?  If not, what is the new URL for the support site?

Thanks!

My apologies, a very similar thread to this was posted previously and I missed it.

3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Is anyone offering Minion hashboards? on: June 13, 2014, 09:36:33 PM
Hello.  I'm looking at Black Arrow's offer of a pile of minion chips instead of the X-3.

Question: Is anyone other than BA manufacturing & assembling hashboards using these Chips?  I'm looking for a service that can turn a pile of minion chips into working miners.

Thanks.

The mining rounds at LC take a very very very long time to complete.  The current round is approaching a week.  Is there anything the pool can do to attract larger miners and cut down the round time?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tweaking R9 290 scrypt mining - cgminer on: December 10, 2013, 09:35:31 PM
Good Afternoon.

In the cgminer archive there is a file called SCRYPT-README.txt.  It does a fairly good job of explaining the performance tuning process for Scrypt mining.

Off the top of my head the biggest performance gains for me were tuning the thread concurrency.  I couldn't get the auto-fan and auto-gpu options to "stick", so I coded them as command-line options into my startup script.  This was important for me as my card throttles noticeably at higher temperatures. (on Windows)

...It's 30 degrees today and the miners are keeping my bonus room toasty warm.  Cheesy

I respectfully disagree, $300 is fair for shipping.

A 30 lb. 33x33x12 package insured for $2500 shipped fedex express saver is $280 from CA to TN.  By the time you package the thing and drive it to the fedex store then you've earned that $20, easily.  If you don't have the OEM box and have the store package it then you're out $50.

Offer: PMd.

Do you have anything to back up your ' trust', like a list of previous customers?
TheNewAnon135246: No, I currently do not.  Customer 0 preferred not to have their identity disclosed.  I have to respect that.

Hello.

Would you like to buy stuff with your bitcoins?  That's great; I'd like to help.  Tell me what you'd like to buy, Pay with BTC, and I'll order it for you.  You get your really great stuff, I get BTC.

Why should you trust me?
I've personally completed a 240 BTC transaction with escrow in the past, and I have an 11 positive credit rating on BTCJam.com.  Additionally, I'm a citizen of the United States living in Tennessee.  You will have legal recourse if I fail to keep up my end of the bargain.  All that said, this is bitcoin.  You shouldn't trust me or anyone.  I am willing to accept escrow with John K if you wish, and you probably should.

In the future, I will charge a 5% premium above the current CampBx.com ask price.  As I am just starting out, I'm only charging 2%.  I currently have a 5 BTC transaction limit.

Please send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks!

Elizabeth Greene

P.s. Yes, BitSpend did this sort of thing before.  No, I'm not affiliated with them.  I do respect him for having the idea first.  I've learned from his story, and I will protect my customers from what happened to him.  Specifically, I am maintaining a Bitcoin reserve, in Bitcoin, that I can use to immediately reimburse my customers in the event of a bank freeze.  This will significantly restrict how fast my business can grow.  I accept that limitation to protect you, my customer.

Thanks!

Just looked at the prettiest Angus cows you've ever seen.  They are three sisters, on their first, second, and third calf respectively.  Their mom was their too, though not for sale.  She was on her 11th calf.

Lowered price.  (Cow fever.)

Lowered price to 180 BTC each.

Thanks to all the people that PMd me to indicate this was ambiguous.

Hi.

I have two Avalon Asics from batch two.  I'd like to sell one or both.  Both units have black cases.  One has sexy black fan grills, the other has shiny chrome fan grills.  Asking price is BTC155 each or 300 for both.  This includes free Fedex 2-day shipping with insurance in the continental US.  Please PM or email to Elizabeth.a.Greene@gmail.com

I'm willing to do escrow with JohnK.

Serious bidders Only: If you'd like me to swing one or both of these over to your BTCGuild account as "proof of life", send me a worker username/password and I will.

I have a small farm and I'm selling these for additional capital.  This will go towards a tractor, fencing and cows.

Thanks for looking!

Pictures!

What does one need to do/buy if they want to use the wifi?

I would like to know as well.  The antenna connector is slightly larger than the connector for my Alfa USB Wireless adapter, with a much coarser thread pitch.  It is smaller than the connectors on my wrt54g.  I believe it to be an SMA-RP connector, but need to find a better picture (with scale) to be sure.

Cheers

Batch 2 two unit order received.  Units are functional and mining.  Note: I was not able to find a Wi-fi antenna included in either package.  Units were exceptionally well packed in bubble wrap, plus 3 inch/7cm Foam cushioning and sturdy cardboard box.  Both units are black cases, one with silver fan grates, one with black fan grates.

Delivered successfully Via Beijing-Hong Kong-Cincinatti-Local Office.  (I picked up at the local office as I've moved and no longer at my old address.

Thank you Avalon.

To all patiently waiting, they will come.  It's hard, but they will come.

Inquiry:  I have a DHL tracking number, but I'm not finding it using any of DHL's tracking tools.  Can any of you suggest the correct link for tracking my package?

Thanks!
Ellie

P.s. if the owner of the batch 2 tracker spreadsheet will PM me I'll bang over my info.

Guys, calm down.  Avalon has earned the benefit of the doubt here.  They say they're shipping Batch 2 and I believe them.  We're all positively giddy with anticipation and delight, myself included.  Be patient, and be glad you didn't order a Butterfly.

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: April 16, 2013, 12:02:45 AM
My batch 2 order is currently showing up as canceled.  It was in Pending previously.  I'm OCD checking my email so often my F5 key is going to break.  @Avalon:  This is not a complaint.  I trust you guys to fix it, you guys are doing great.  Cheesy

They fixed it, I'm giddily pending now.  My F5 key is now at rest.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please explain how TX ID results in "No such transaction" on blockexplorer.com? on: April 15, 2013, 07:34:47 PM
Thanks for the feedback.  I'll go ahead and answer this one.

2.  "Why can a block only be so big?"  "Who/what determines the size?"
Right now, blocks are limited by the database format in the old version of BitcoinD.  The network tried using larger blocks for a while, but it caused the old BitcoinD and new BitcoinD clients to be unable to communicate.  This was a bad day.  This is the cause of the "All users of Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind versions 0.7.2 and earlier are required to upgrade to 0.8.1 or apply a manual workaround by May 15." message at the top of every page on bitcointalk.org.

Cheers,
E2
