I think it was when fox news ran the story about the silk road and "your kids buying DRUGS" with "anonymous currency".  This attracted all sorts of people to btc for illegitimate reasons.  Those people quickly dumped, combine this with all the hacking, and the crash snowballed causing legit btc holders to lose confidence as well thus tanking the price.

That's my theory.

Great concept.  Your site seems simple and I love it.  Plus you're very close to GOX spot price, especially considering the convenience.  Have you had any issues with paypal freezing accounts?

Shut up and take my BTC!!!!!

Apart from a bank wire I have a bunch of BTC held up in GOX that I am trying to sell.  I do not want to verify with GOX as this can take weeks.  Dwolla now requires SSN but this is no big deal.  What is the easiest way to get USD?  I currently have paypal and dwolla.  I prefer an exchange that does not require any info and if I am to use another processor I prefer one that does not require info.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Coinlab - What does it mean to me? on: March 20, 2013, 02:18:57 AM
As a US customer what does this mean to me?  I have had BTC in mt gox for several months.  Once my account gets migrated to CoinLab is it going to be frozen until I provide personal information?  Will I not be able to trade BTC\USD or simply not withdraw it until I provide personal info?  The beauty of bitcoin is it's anonymity (if used correctly).  CoinLab ruins this.

Basically should I pack my bags and go to another exchange that allows Dwolla withdrawals.
