681  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google the word "idiot" and Donald Trump would appear on: December 23, 2018, 09:38:11 AM
If I will be analyzing this one, the problem here is that we know how the google search results works and mind that google search only put the first top answers based on the number of tags that the Internet has given.

By that said if it was not been manipulated then it is an obvious answer that the algo of google only gets the answer from different articles especially the more traffic or influenced ones. Then I can conclude that it is on the 50-50 basis for being biased.
682  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin is a criminal on: December 23, 2018, 01:11:07 AM
You can't put him to jail lol currently he is the world's most powerful human. He has always been known for eliminating a lot of people specially his opponents and the corruption of his team is also rampant.

The only thing the russians do is to wait for him to die lol
683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom of speech is a luxury? on: December 22, 2018, 12:07:13 PM
It has come to a point of making everything family friendly for all ages. Nowdays you can't even swear without trouble of being banned or censored. On example I remember week ago there was a history movie about ww2. and guess who was censored? Swastika was edited to just be a cross. It came to the point where you are not allowed to show the history the way it was. I am aware of laws in Germany, you can get arrested there just for mentioning ww2.
In Europe if you engage in some political speech agains government there is a chance you will get visited by police I won't even talk about lower rank countrys where is high corruption.

I just feel that we should have more alternatives which would not be so highly monitored and censored.
Yes that is the reality. Government has been censoring history and has been doing that to preveng conflicts in that case that is really unfair when we do talk about our freedom of speech. But in my place people now always has a say about politics and were never arrested maybe because we might be influenced by the US culture and has been practicing democracy
684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom of speech is a luxury? on: December 22, 2018, 08:28:49 AM
You have good points there but I have to point out some points also that I am currently thinking.

Quote
Internet
Internet is a world wide web without ownership and control while there is constant battle of giants trying to control it either by large services and tracking it's users. You have giants like google with majority of the network that has turned into monopol machine. All information is being processed, search results are being filtered and bad marked content will never get the views. There are always options of being vigilante and use tor network or other smaller providers but the result is that there is just not many people around and you will be very limited.

What certain bad contents are you talking about and how google do categorize it. As far as I know they only disallow shady contents that contains viruses or pornographic which are not suitable for all ages.

Quote
Social media
Social media are great for staying in touch wether to your friends, fanbase or group of followers. But as you know content is extremely monitored and there is only that much that you can share. This pattern in the last years is clear indication of new advanced ads and owners making the most of it. But even when you move back in time when there was not much ad limitations it would still narrow your options. Check out youtube on example. In a year or two they went from wild west into fword, family friendy content. There have been some political censorships but I will not go into it because I don't want to speculate.

Just like google, of course Facebook has to monitor contents. You also have to understand that just like any other companies they have to follow certain rules that abides the law. You can't just expect someone posting a dead people or someone going for a live show fully naked (as I have pointed out those type of contents are not for all ages and is really necessary to filter out). Social media is being highly used for fake news and that is making the platform hazardous to its users.

Work and career
Job interview... Think twice what will you write in your resume, no beard, watch out for any tatto, rather make a bunch of lies and say that you have no weak points. People get screwed over so easy over some bullshit things they do or say online. I mean do I haveto say much about it, you already know how it goes on.

Ahm I am not sure yes it is still really existing in some work types. and I highly disagree on this habit from our society.

685  Other / Meta / Re: 🔥🌟🔥BUYING LOT OF MERITS!!!🔥🌟🔥 on: December 22, 2018, 06:48:56 AM
I have a suspicion that the title is the truth and the OP is a smokescreen.  He's probably looking for people to PM him about selling him merits, because he thinks there'll be some who'll do it--and he's probably right.  Keep an eye on his merit score, see if it changes at some point and who gave him his first merit.

It's either that, or this is just a thinly-veiled merit-begging attempt.  Either way, he's going on ignore.

In connection to your theory, I am also thinking that OP might have other accounts where should the bought merits will be handed out. If that is the case then it will harder for us to trace the said suspected transactions

Or this might be the case (OP isn't aware of what he/she is been doing)

OP seems to have run into his shells at the reply he actually got  Grin, post edited into an apology.
OP seems to be having a hard time communicating on the forum,if only he or she will take out time to better themselves, then this will be uncalled for

Since the thread no longer exists, and is different from the subject title,i will suggest OP locks this now, let's move on
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's plan to sideline bitcoin on: December 22, 2018, 05:58:48 AM
the banks have, to a huge extent, also in china, centred the entire economy on themselver, causing insecurity for the others, it will be a miracle if they can get away with that, by simply creating cryptos on themselves.

I don't think so, if I am not mistaken from what the article says. It was the government or might be a company that is highly governed by the chinese authority who is responsible for the said act.

Upon Looking this picture it is a clear and obvious message that this kids wanted to feed up to those who were in power. That everyone has the right to do what they want as long as it abides the laws that can't harm humanities.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 22, 2018, 05:39:25 AM
That's a stupid overused quote.  Just invest money you can't afford to lose - retarded meme.

Then don't invest. Do you really understand the risk about investing? or you only know how to convert a fact quote into a retarded type of meme?

Quote
Nobody has money to throw away in the trash unless you are so rich it doesn't matter.

WTF are you actually saying? investing is a type of throwing money in the trash seriously? oh wait I forgot your a pro

"do meme"
688  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 20, 2018, 11:12:04 PM
This is the wrong view. I think that ordinary investors who buy cryptocurrencies need a lot of knowledge and patience to wait, because ordinary people usually have financial problems, they can't smoothly pass the cryptocurrency downturn, and they can only wait for the cryptocurrency market to become green.
There is nothing wrong about it. If you were an ordinary investor then just always apply the basic rule to invest only what you can afford to lose. The idea is actually good but it doesnt mean you have to follow it. Especially if you were looking for a quick profit then thats the time in which you have to strategies your entry point
689  Economy / Economics / Re: Can my economy be fulfilled in the future with Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2018, 10:34:11 AM
Yes it is a good strategy but you still need ti invest money that you are willing to lose. Don't invest money you couldn't live withour in the hopes that it will grow. Because maybe on the day you bought the coin, maybe it will take a while before you see profits. So you still need to be smarter in how you invest your money.
How to become smarter in investing, yes it might be a little safer play when you only invest amounts you can adford to lose but it isn't a part of the smarter way tho.
Normally, the best time to never miss buying is usually the dips and nothing as sound and good as that because with patience and in the long run, you will still be enjoying the benefits anyway. A lot of people do not take serious and rather panic is when they see the market going down as they certainly wave their minds off the opportunities that comes with a down market rather than taking advantage of it. As long as you can be patient enough, buy when everyone is scared and sell when everyone is going crazy, you will always be able to make the best out of your investment. Bitcoin may hit main stream of adoption within a decade then people may cry for not adopting it, that is the only reason I am firmly holding my bitcoins and watching its fluctuation and when hitting main stream it may fulfill everything we do need.

So you were a part of the hodl team?, yes buying on dips are a good strategy. I usually calculate the deepest btc price base on a 6 months time frame. Since I cannot hold longer than that. I still have that mentality to always use your coins as a your contribution to the market
690  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: December 19, 2018, 01:15:09 PM
Hacked accounts are still one of the primary concern of this forum. I cannot suggest something im just hoping that someone can have a suggestion with regards to getting hacked accounts back to the real owners.

If replacing the management would be a possibility I would put my vote there.
Is there a need to do so? If you can prove to me that the current management is incompetent then i might also vote for that but if you don't then there is no point in discussing this matter

Add a new rank above Legendary, eg "Deity".   Smiley

"Deities" could receive some special features. Don't know what exactly but they should get something for sure.

In my opinion this will motivate Legendaries to be more contributing to the forum.

Hmm I don't think if this is necessary for now the main concern as of now is to eliminate new accounts who were doing the scam act. Tho we were saying a little bit of positive result because of the 1 merit req to become a jr. Member
691  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: December 19, 2018, 12:43:57 PM
Many people are asking these questions. In fact, many people cannot understand the true meaning of the blockchain. The blockchain is already the consensus of high-end people. Future blockchains can even change every corner of life. This is the only evidence that the Internet can exist for thousands of years.
The blockchain technology is not only for the means of digital world,it can gives us the transperency with security over anything, this can be implemented in to many real life things other than the crypto currencies. But still many people not aware of blockchain technology but they still complaining about it and they tell it is scam. Huh

because they don't understand the technology it self they were only aware that this technology can be a medium for illegal activities because of the security that this technology provides. Internet will surely exists as long as the technology will continue to grow
692  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: December 19, 2018, 10:15:40 AM
Update:
I don't think this large drop is still caused by the new Merit rules. I'll keep updating this list, because I expect the post count to go up once Bitcoin starts going up in price.

I still think that it is, since I have also noticed the difference seeing threads with no more posts from newbies that might still be a good indication, you were right tho to just atleast wait for the price to go up but IMO your stats still relates to the current new rule.

If ever that the price will go up and the newbies will be swarming up again then that forfeits your data
693  Other / Meta / Re: Top 200 Merit Receivers without Merit from the Top 200 Merit Receivers on: December 18, 2018, 12:02:06 PM
Some are obvious but some people where new to me and haven't acrossed with them in some discussion. Quite interesting data tho
694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China as the next global AI superpower? on: December 18, 2018, 09:27:29 AM
This is actually the reason why they are spying using their Huawei phone lol.

I just have concluded that as of the moment they can't still surpass US nor Japan when it comes to technology. Since they cannot solved the formula that currently US has been developing
695  Other / Meta / Re: 🌎 Bitcointalk international 🌎 on: December 18, 2018, 07:49:07 AM
I am quite more interested if you can maybe have a data for those countries which we do not expect to be in here?

I might want to site an example north korea, or any places around the world that we  might get shock that they actually are participating here.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 18, 2018, 05:00:48 AM
For an investment purpose they don't need to understand much about its usage they need to understand the decentralization then they have to speculate as other investments more like the stocks.

Wrong, why would any investor invest on something that they do not understand? If thats the case then I consider those investors as an idiot. You can never understand decentralized currency without understanding how it is being used. Speculations are a part of it yes, but most of them just ended up losing their money
697  Other / Meta / Re: Please give me some feedback on my first bitcointalk thread on: December 18, 2018, 12:58:59 AM
You can simply determine if it is necessary to move your thread to technical discussion.

As of the moment they are right that yor thread is actually gaining a real discussion and in fact it has more serious participants.

Just in case you will start seeing spammy posts in your thread then moving it would be your best option but ofcourse there would be lesser participants
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's plan to sideline bitcoin on: December 17, 2018, 12:01:50 PM
I've already expected this kind of act from the chinese government. We know how they act in terms of controlling power.

That's abit selfish of us. Everything possible should be done to resist them. I don't think enough people can be bothered to think through the implications. Even in 'free' countries people are fucked by their credit scores. When someone can trace every penny of your expenditure things will get a whole lot more alarming.

Exactly but since i don't want how the chinese control there people it is still better to never be involved with that digital currency when they will launch that one
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm hoping to see coin prices decline A LOT in the next couple months. on: December 17, 2018, 10:27:20 AM
I like the way how you think it seems that you were demanding the market to goes down for your benefit. But the problem is that i think almost all are hoping for that situation lol. Except for those who havent get their profits yet.

If I were you, you should start learning to go in and out even if the price drops are not that high
700  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Proof that God exists on: December 17, 2018, 10:06:38 AM

First of all, how can you prove or disprove something you cannot test?

You cannot prove Santa doesn't exist.

It's brainwashing vs common sense.  The church is losing massive numbers every day as education spreads.
Agree, if it is almost impossible to prove the gods existence and it is also impossible to prove that god does not exist.

What happens here is the conclusions of individuals, best example would the scientists(some scientists were tired of finding the root of life existence). Therefore some of them tend to conclude  that there might be a being who created everything while some scientists don't and still follows the idea.

Church is unfair when it comes to the point when money is being involved. (There is actually a saying that goes when you want to be reach build your own religion)
