So, do u think it is managable for a newbie to set up a masternote without real knowlege of linux. I already found the HowTo, which looks straight forward. But when you can rent a server for for as little as arround 4 bucks from the AlQO guys, why have all the hassle? Or am I mistaken? They set everything up (and provide the static IP needed for the MD?) and you only need to provide the 10000 ALQO more ore less. Please correct me if i am wrong!
Yes, even for a newbie it should be possible to create a MN on a VPS (but you should secure the server (fail2ban, ufw,...)). The offered service is a nice addition to the ALQO ecosystem. However, I'm not quite sure whether it is possible to install more than one MN (not of a kind but a different one) on their offered VPS. Indeed, you just need to provide the 'collateral' and you're good to go. Hey, our Hosting Service for sure allows you to install whatever you want. It's a completely seperated Ubuntu server and you'll get FULL root access to it. The only difference is that the ALQO Hosting Framework is pre-installed meaning there is a webinterface for managing your ALQO masternode. We've got a few customers who are running multiple masternodes from different coins on our service. multiple masternodes on one access ? If you want to run multiple ALQO masternode you need multiple static IPs. One masternode per IP. However, you can run several different masternodes on the VPS (depending on RAM and storage). |

Was haltet ihr von emc2? Ich bin gerade unsicher, ob ich den Verlust einfach wegstecken soll oder holdn..

BTC, hat gerade etwas nach gegeben, klar das da einige Coins nachgeben... Sofern der Bullenrun anhält würde ich nicht verkaufen sondern hodln... Aber wie kommt man auf die Idee einen Coin zu kaufen der ATH hat und ein paar hundert Prozent in der letzten Zeit gemacht hat?? Ich wollte die news kaufen.. ich hielt ihn für relativ günstig und die Ankündigung musste groß sein bei der Wortwahl: "mind-blowing announcement". Alles andere ist ja"Selbstmord". Ich hätte erwartet, dass das Team von emc2 das auch weiß. Jetzt bin ich nicht mehr so sicher. Naja schade um das Investment aber ich werde es wohl halten und einfach abwarten. Tot scheint das Team ja nicht zu sein. Nur unglaublich schlecht im Marketing. Darum heißt es ja auch 'buy the rumor, sell the news.'  |

This project is really good  I have invested, but we need more exchanges. ALQO is doing pretty well. It is 'online' for just six weeks and the devs implemented already a lot of (announced) stuff. I'm really satisfied with the recent progress. Keep up the great work |

Ja, Asche auf mein Haupt. Wie schon geschrieben, war nen Schnellschuss. Bei den vielen Projekten und neuen Coins 'screene' ich teilweise nur grob. Und die Roadmap hat eben nicht nach sonderlich viel Innovation ausgesehen. Taucht man etwas tiefer ein sieht die Geschichte schon anders aus. Von daher, ich bin jetzt völlig überzeugter Fan  An dem Anstieg war ich womöglich nicht ganz unschuldig |

@unchained und coco23 Danke für die Hinweise, noch nen VPS werde ich mir nicht zulegen, dann schau ich lieber, dass ich noch etwas andres drauf laufen lasse Je nach 'Hoster' kannst Du dir auch gegen kleines Geld eine zweite IP dazukaufen. Also an Möglichkeiten mangelt es nicht... So ist es. Bei Netcup gerade mal 1€/Monat. Es gehen auch noch weitere IPs. Ihr müsst für eure zweite Masternode andere Ports wählen (ich habe einfach auf die Standardports jeweils +1 gezählt, das hat funktioniert). Außerdem müsst ihr einen zweiten alqo-daemon laufen lassen (mit eigenem Verzeichnis, in dessen alqo.conf die neuen Ports angegeben sind). Es ist nicht ganz einfach, aber es lohnt sich Alle neuen MN-Besitzer: willkommen an Bord  Wenn Zeit und Lust besteht schreib doch ein kleines Tutorial. Würde mich auch zum querlesen und mitgestalten anbieten Habe mich 'ein wenig' eingehender mit dem Projekt beschäftigt und muss wirklich sagen das ich ziemlich begeistert davon bin was die Jungs bisher schon gerissen haben. Das schaffen andere Projekte nicht in annähernd der Zeit und Qualität. Bin nun auch unter die 'Masternoder' gegangen |

was eine Prognose... seitwärts mit der Option zu steigen oder zu fallen   du hast auch schon besseres gebracht Schöner Beitrag mit tollem Inhalt der uns alle weiterbringt und zum Nachdenken anregt, danke dafür! Nichts für ungut... ich mag deine Prognosen... aber du musst doch selber zugeben da diese für'n Arsch war ;-) Nö, ich finde es durchaus plausibel das es bis 17/18 im Kanal seitwärts gehen kann und dann einen Ausbruch nach oben oder unten gibt. Buy/Sell Triggerlevel im Auge behalten und dann reagieren. So kann ich mir das auch durchaus vorstellen. Dementsprechend fand/finde ich die Prognose nicht abwegig. |

Aber Du benötigst ne zweite IP (oder etwa nicht). Alles andere widerspricht doch dem Sinn der Masternodes.
Ja, ich denke nicht, dass du zwei gleiche MNs auf einem VPS laufen lassen kannst. Allerdings kannst du abhaengig von der Hardware mehrere MNs von unterschiedlichen coins auf dem selben VPS laufen lassen. Ich glaube das kommt auf die MN an. Manche Entwickler lassen auch mehr als eine MN pro IP zu wenn ich das richtig auf dem Schirm habe. |

Habe mir nun auch bei Netcup nen VPS geholt und nach ca. 3-4h Einrichtung (ich bin nicht so fit in Linux) kam dann nach fast 30h der erste Reward. Danke nochmal LibertValance Wenn der Preis von ALQO nochmal fällt, hole ich mir vielleicht nochmal 10k, der VPS läuft ja sowieso  Naja, mal sehen... Aber Du benötigst ne zweite IP (oder etwa nicht). Alles andere widerspricht doch dem Sinn der Masternodes. |

Ich persönlich bin mit mehreren Wallets auf einem Rechner eher vorsichtig. Da muss nur ein 'schwarzes Schaf' drunter sein und man hat ein Problem... |

Ich suche auch seit dem Anstieg eine Erklärung. Was ist denn da los? Nicht, dass sowas eigentlich überfällig war, aber wieso jetzt und wieso so stark? Litecoin besitzt mit Charlie Lee ein 'Gesicht' was immer öfter in den Medien zu sehen ist (bspw. gestern beim CNBC Interview). Zudem finden technische Neuerungen schneller und unbürokratischer Einzug. Weiterhin ist die psychologische Barriere etwas 'Ganzes' besitzen zu wollen beim LTC für Max Mustermann und John Doe noch in der Nähe. Beim BTC sieht die Rechnung anders aus.
