hi all i try to build a new rig and looking for some suggestions.i m using ubuntu 14.02 ltc ,ashrock btc pro and usb risers so mostly im interesting for gpus info (hash, power consume etc). There was a link somewhere in this article that shows some counts of users....... thnx in advance
Imho the best AMD GPU“s for mining are the new RX460,470,480 series. My next Rigs will build with this Cards. I will only wait for manufacters Cooling Solutions. One of my two Rigs hold 2 x RX480 in Reference Design. Each of them Drains 190 W Power with Powerlimit 0 and mining @ 26 MH/s. Nvidia built great Cards too with better Hash per Power but the ROI (Return of Investment) is very high. There are two Sources I use: http://www.mininghwcomparison.com/list/index.php?brand=both (Choose your Algo before compare) and ps_jb Thread of Comparison in this Forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1550780.0;topicseenHope this helps, Gary thnx for answer.... i know the 1st site its not much realiable ...some ppl there writes crazy things but ofc you can get a +-1 hash idea the second link is what i was looking (i save it this time ) about 460 check this http://cryptomining-blog.com/. the 26 mh/s you get it from 4 gb carg or 8? because if its at 8 the price goes up (europe here) so the 470 can be a beter choice (470 8gb 24,5 mh/s) hi all i try to build a new rig and looking for some suggestions.i m using ubuntu 14.02 ltc ,ashrock btc pro and usb risers so mostly im interesting for gpus info (hash, power consume etc). There was a link somewhere in this article that shows some counts of users....... thnx in advance
http://www.mininghwcomparison.com/list/index.phpDoesn't show power though. Popular cards are 280X, 390, 390X, RX 470/80. 390X is fastest card, though it uses a lot of power. GTX 1060 slower, costs more (except new 3GB models), but use a little less power, a lot easier to find. I use 470s, though they are hard to find the better ones, with limited order quantities unless you look on ebay. ~22-24MH (8GB model is faster, has 8Gbps memory), power usage is fine, easily undervolted (Wattman, though recent miner version lets you control somewhat under linux). Best price/perf is Sapphire Nitro 470 4GB, has 7Gbps memory, undervolts really well, stable boost clocks). PowerColor Red Devil almost as good, doesn't hold boost clocks while dual mining. 480 is slightly faster, but extremely hard to find at MSRP, and may not be worth extra cost. I ordered a 1060 3GB to see how it does, cost similar to 470, not as fast, but a lot easier to find. 3GB will limit time it mines Etherium, though would be fine for other ethash coins. 390X ~33MH, 270W 280X ~25MH, 220W 470 ~22-24MH, 160W 1060 ~20MH, 130W Power numbers at the wall, estimating/looked up all but 470. thnx for answer how you take at 280x 25mh ? i have 3x280x at my 1st rig with default values i take max 19,5 , dual mining ofc

Hey everyone I would like to ask the community for help. I've been having an issue with my 3x MSI R9 390 miner. The problem I am having is it seems that Claymore hangs/crashes after ~7 hours of continuous running. The computer is still fine, I'm able to use it, but Claymore doesn't update with info. I'm able to confirm this because the hash rate for the miner is 0 when I look on the pool website. This problem occurs with both stock clock settings of the cards and with overclock settings of Core Clock 1190 and Memory Clock of 1500 and with/without undervolting. However, last night I tested undervolt settings of -19 on MSI AB, and the same problem occurred ~7 hours into mining. The charts are able to show where I know/believe the software crashed/the rig froze. The first circle: I don't remember what happened here. I was either moving the rig or playing with settings. The second circle: This is where at 3:30 in the morning, the rig crashed. I know the rig crashed because when I tried to access the rig with chrome remote desktop, it couldn't connect. At this time the rig was at stock settings. I don't know why it crashed. The crash has only occurred once. Freezing of Claymore happens more often. The third circle: Here I stayed up late to play with overclock/undervolt settings. Overclock settings initially were Core Clock 1190, Memory Clock 1500(stock) without undervolt. I tested that for about an hour and a half and it seemed to work fine, so I moved on to undervolting. I found that undervolting -19 on MSI AB seemed to run well enough. I ran that for about 2 hours and it seemed to work well, and I went off to bed. The fourth circle: Rig ran overnight overclocked and undervolted(Core voltage 0, Core clock 1190, Memory clock 1500) for ~7 hours again. When I woke up and first checked Nanopool around 6:45, the hash rate was being seen by the server. Then around 7:30, I checked the hash rate again, and it was 0. Here I know Claymore froze. I was able to access it remotely from my phone, open programs, but Claymore was not updating, as well as go to it physically and use the mouse and keyboard. What I'm trying to have done, is tell Windows 10 to restart Claymore if it freezes or doesn't send/receive info. I have a shortcut for my start.bat file in the startup folder to start Claymore when the computer restarts. But I want this to happen with Claymore only, and if the rig happens to freeze itself, if it's possible to restart the rig itself, that would be great. But I'm not sure about that. OP says that the watchdog command should help with this, but that command and a lot of other commands do not work. Everything past the "-eworker x" command does not work for me no matter what I try. EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal Wallet Address -epsw x -eworker x -etha -1,-1,-1 -eres 1 -erate 1 -gser 2 -wd 1 -r 1 I've read about a reboot.bat file, but I would like to have this process as automated as possible. Without me having to keep checking the pool website and see if I still have a hash rate. Sorry for the long post. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you everyone. i have the same problem. at just 7h pools report hash 0 and 0 shares but client hashing and sharing and pc not crash... sia nanopool + eth dwarfpool i has some similar issues with my rig first you must check is psu... i had 5 gpus and and when i make them 4 the crashes goes from 10 hours to 24+ random. i manage the rig for single mining so 2x 700 gold psu is not enough for dual second i did i make the pc restart every 8 hours and run the miner on start up (im using ubuntu so you must google for that ) now rig works w/o any issue i hope that helps thanks,, im changing to ubuntu i dont like win claymore. for install Oficcial catalyst 15.12 on ubuntu i cant with LTS versions... how i cant get the best drivers for ubuntu. and what version of ubuntu you use? 12x 14.04 15.10 or 16x? and server version or desktop?(xubuntu kubuntu etc.. thanks ubuntu 14.04 lts desktop i use this commands for drivers (all my gpus are amd) sudo apt-get -y update sudo apt-get -y upgrade -f sudo apt-get install fglrx-updates sudo amdconfig --adapter=all --initial my 280x gpus are running for 17-19 hash on default values

doesnt open after checking the browzer (chrome/mozila) One of my cards from time to time get as hot as 80C As i want to keep all cards under 80, i use -tstop 80 But ones the card reaches 80, its stopped from miner and never returned to mining. is there a way to auto-restart it? or I should just use higher value for tstop? Or simply restart the miner from time to time (say -r 60 )
i have 4 gpu 280x and the 2 of them goes to 80 as well with dual mining eth/sc (sometimes more) with fans 100 % ofc (-tt -100).i solve the prob with extra fan hit directy on cooler (3 to 6 degree less temp). imo the r -? will not help Miner stopped suddenly (4gpu ubuntu 14.04) . How can i fix it ? 2) How can i restart automatically miner after a failure ? Because the default -r 0 doesn't seem to work. Help anyone ? Thanks in advance ! no1 else has that prob?? im using 5.1 ps: miner do that error after 12 to 24 hours of mining random if that helps. does any1 has a script to autostart miner after restart pc? i might try to rr pc every 10 hours..... Try to put your GPU clocks a bit lower, maybe that helps from haning. Google how to add program to startup and put your batch file to startup. Somehow the -r 0 (which is default) also didnt help, miner was idle for 1 hour before it restarted itself. You can put -r 1440 for miner to restart itself every 24h.(or another value) the gpus are on default values ...no overclock no overvolt i try with xterm -e /path/start.bash on startup application but dont do nothing after restart i try ofc the -r flag for to many values(60.480.600), still miner crashes ty 4 answer

Did you check all your results vs siacoin bro ? Nice info here thanks !
|
|
|
I changed to RU-Server: eth-ru2.dwarfpool.com and now is working fine !
Thank you for this bro.Problem solved. BTW i am mining ETH+DECRED and i see in my decred mining that i have about 30% rejected packages. Is this normal ? And finally did someone get to the point for decred vs siacoin mining profitability ? Which one is best ? Thank you !

hi... i try to do dual mining with 4xR9 280X and 1xR9 280 .im new on this so i cant say if hashrate for dcr is normal (1373.2) but for eth is low for some reason (91.5). in detail there is the following hashes 16.6-17.2-19.5-18.5-19.5. my command is ./ethdcrminer64 -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal xxxxxxxx -epsw x -esm 0 -dpool stratum+http://dcr.maxminers.net:7728 -dwal xxx.xx -dpsw 1 -tt -80 -tstop 85 any suggestions ? do i have something wrong on command ?
thnx in advance
ps:1)i use ubuntu 14 lts 2) i use all the 5 "export" commands
no1 can help on this ?? Did you try to reduce DCR intensity (with + and - keys)? Can help on weaker cards like 270, 380, etc., maybe the same for these... thnx for answer ... i do the test with -15 intensity on dcr but the results was -50% down the hash of dcr but nothing on eth (eth same at 91+ ,dcr 668+) so i stay with default values for now.i buyed my GPUs second hand so maybe i cant get more hash on them on any command or maybe will try another Os in the future.i also wana try the dual eth/sia thing. can some1 give me the full command fir that ?
