Just some information for anyone planning to deal with Chinese Officials:
They're annoying as fuck. If you have any contacts within China, you can try, but you probably won't get anything out of it. This is because 2 things are needed for anything to be done in china:
Relations and Money.

Relations imply that you know some well-connected people, and you can ask for favours.
Money implies that you bribe officials to get things done quickly and properly.

If you have neither of those, you will have a hard time.

-snip-

seems good, is the shipping fee for all country worldwide?
or just some country?
will order it soon as possible...

Hi dezoel!
The standard shipping fee, as stated, is 0.065BTC. However, if you want express shipping, then it is split into 2 categories:
Express Registered Mail Region A (0.17BTC): Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, HK, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and USA.

Express Registered Mail Region B (0.25BTC): Other Countries.

Thanks,
byt411

I have one. It depends on which country you have it sent to but I believe they ship most places. I had one card sent to me while I was in the US, and another sent while I was in Europe.

Hey GGGGG!

Thanks for the review! If it's possible, could you please comment on your experience on our official thread?

About the refund, have you tried contacting our support about it? If not, you can contact me, and I will pass on the information. If you have, then please give me your email address associated with your ANX account, and I will help resolve this problem.

snoopy101, please understand that ANX did not reject the KYC vendor did.  You should be able to get a refund easily by contacting the ANX support email: support@anxbtc.com

Quote
ANX has the right to refuse, but they most certainly should give a reason, and not pass the buck onto "external providers".
ANX has to do that, it is a legally required process.

Thank you, however at this point more than just a refund would be needed. If indeed it is the case that moving address disqualifies you as as has been mentioned on this forum by ANX, or there is indeed entire countries that are refused due to risk this should be clearly stated pre application as to stop people from wasting their time and money with what in my case was a costly endeavor.

I care about the bitcoin community and if we allow companies to do stuff like this soon bitcoin will be just like the banks.

ALso the burden of chasing up refunds should rest with the company who is refusing without reason, I should not have to email anyone, coins should have been given back before the refusal, and an email stating the reason for the refusal should have followed.

Better yet, if you dont accept my country, when I select my country during application, just refuse my application then and there, and publicly state you dont accept that region or country.  Collecting money, having me wait, then refusing me and expecting me to chase a refund......lawsuits have been filed for less.....

Dear prospective clients,

If you live in the following countries do not apply as our KYC will deny you.

Additionally if you have recently moved, dont bother, as you will be refused.

Sincerely

ANX

Or.......

Dear client,

Please send us your 500 usd bitcoins, and spend hours uploaded your documents, then wait for us to refuse you based on criteria we cannot tell you about.

If you are refused please go online to find support on forums to try and get your coin back.  We dont tell why we refuse, but its ok, everybody inculding coinbase is doing it.

ANX

Does anybody here not see how this is a bad policy?  It is such a shame, because besides this ANX seems like a great company and there is alot of positive reviews about them.  You would think a company with this much on the line could devise a better plan for onboarding clients.

Hi snoopy101,

Please check the PM that I sent you.
I am currently investigating this. I don't understand how you were able to order cards, when normally, your account must be verified for you to access our debit card page. If you could provide the information I requested, I will be very grateful.

Thanks,
byt411
229  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX launches ANXPRO, support for Altcoins and AUD Direct Banking, 0 Fees! on: March 23, 2015, 05:52:54 PM
Come and trade today! No ID verification is needed! ANXPRO.

I read from the first page that no ID verification is needed. Is this still true? I mean I can register an account, sale some ltc for btc and I can withdraw btc without any holdups? I hate to be forced to jump through hoops just to withdraw 1btc.

Hi PolarPoint,

That is completely correct. No ID verification is needed if you want to trade in cryptocurrencies; ID Verification is only needed if you want to deposit/withdraw fiat, or use our debit card service.

If there are any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

230  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ANX working against the spirit of Bitcoin on: March 23, 2015, 04:34:35 PM
With much excitement I signed up for the ANX debit card, ordering the max of 10 cards, and paying nearly 300 USD, plus loading my cards and express mail verification.  I had to wait 3 months to apply as I need to switch power bills in my name.

I hold a USA passport but have permanent residency in Ecuador, meaning I have life time residency, government issued ID, and legal this is my tax residency, and KYC residency.

WARNING to all getting excited about ANX, ANX will refuse you without giving any reason at all and you may lose your money for your printed cards. I provided 3 photo IDs, me holding all of these IDs and a power bill from the government power company.  I paid over 500 USD, and I still have not received back my money.  I am here at the house waiting for an express verification that may never come.

I received the following:

"Thank you for submitting the verification documents again. Kindly note that we received all your verification documents as many as you described.
Unfortunately in this instance our external KYC vendor has not approved your application. The vendor does not disclose specific details as to why a verification request is rejected.
Our sincerest apologies but we can not proceed further with your verification request.
Apologies that we can not be more helpful.
Keith
Customer Support Team"

Ok bitcoin community, its not us, its  "our external KYC vendor" that is screwing you.

We are refusing you without reason, or refund is the jest of it.  Does this sound like what we as the bitcoin community should accept from our providers?  I would expect a bank to refuse without cause.  Bitcoins are about being transparent. For example, you have been denied because you are american, at least that I can understand, and I know not to refer USA passport holders to ANX.

I have no criminal record and good credit.  Is it the color of my skin? Is it my country?  They dont say, is this what we should expect from our bitcoin providers?

We need to stand up together and make sure companies like ANX cannot do stuff like this.  ANX has the right to refuse, but they most certainly should give a reason, and not pass the buck onto "external providers".

I am in contact with the local bitcoin community, both in Chili, peru and Ecuador to see what can be done to make sure our block isnt discriminated in this fashion, and ANX will be brought up in a public forum of my bitcoin peers.  I will state my name and not pass the buck on to external providers.

In the mean time use cation when applying for cards from them, as you may lose hours of your time.  I am not going to go as far as calling them a scam at this point, but I am certainly out 500 USD that has not yet been refunded and it appears cards are in the mail.

In the very least I am owed 500 USD and an explanation of why I have been refused.

I will be posting this across the internet on 37 different forums and I am encouraging anyone with the same experience to speak out. Together we can make the bitcoin world better.

Hi snoopy101,
I'm sorry that your application was rejected. It is correct that the verification is done by a third party, since they are specialists in this field and they have a strict criteria that will determine if a person should be accepted or not. Not accepting you isn't because we don't want to; it's because the KYC company rejected your application. The most common reasons are because your personal information/address has changed recently, or your country is associated with Money Laundering and/or Fraud and it was determined as a high risk.

Other companies, such as CoinBase, follow a similar procedure; the KYC verification is done by another company, for risk management and to check your identity. CoinBase has terminated numerous accounts due to similar reasons, and they have been reopened after the customer emailing customer support and resolving the problem.

About the refund, have you tried contacting our support about it? If not, you can contact me, and I will pass on the information. If you have, then please give me your email address associated with your ANX account, and I will help resolve this problem.

Thanks,
byt411

It seems that ANX is not about creating service or having customers, rather it is a vehicle to extract money out of the tech bubble.

Hello Erdogan,

How so?  Would google be a vehicle to extract money out of the tech bubble as well, then?  They are purchasing many startups and small businesses/companies as well.

Bad support: only excuses, never progress.
The article: The company is engaged in aquisitions.

Hello,
As byt441 requested, if you find that our support does not meet your standards, feel free to provide any suggestions!

Nah, it is a lost case. The support people are random people on the net spewing this garbage for minimal pay, they probably know nothing about the company.

If you are going to talk in such an unconstructive manner, please leave the thread. Thank you.

Well, I would assume that managing to provide the first Bitcoin Debit Card to a huge amount of people, and to launch one of the first Bitcoin ATMs in the world, and to be one of the largest Bitcoin exchange is progress.
Our customer support is a lot better than the ones of many other companies. If you feel like we have done badly, at least state why that is the case.

Sure they exist, but i wouldn't trust toping it up with too much btc, just send what u need to spend.

There are several providers of bitcoin debit cards :

https://in.xapo.com/
https://bitplastic.com/
https://anxbtc.com/

I recently ordered Skrill debit card (USD,not bitcoin), seams more secure than bitcoin ones, since the company is less likely to have any legal issues.

cheers

Thanks I dont think xapo has a working one at the moment.
bitplastic looks sketch
anxbtc looks more legit but (maybe because the site looks clean.)

USA Skrill hates usa at the moment. Sad

Yeah they don't give a shit about their costumers.

Again, ejinte, that is your own opinion. If you are unsatisfied by our service, please make a thread in the Service Discussion board of this forum, to not clutter up this thread.

Erdogan, can you please explain how you came to that conclusion from that article?

First part of translation:

After so much time, we finally have an announcement. However, the disappointing part is that there is no good information, especially about AMHash, since a lot of information was misleading, making people believe that this project was RockMiner's. I am disappointed, and I am going to clarify for the last time.

The following truth is told at a stranger/spectator/3rd party's point of view. If there is anything fake, I will assume all responsibilities caused by the incorrect information.

AMHash is a project where AsicMiner entrusted RockMiner to be in charge of marketing and selling, and customer support. RockMiner was responsible to sell hashpower operated by AsicMiner in Jiangsu, China. Before the AMHash project began, RockMiner had already suffered losses. We did not have a lot of money left (600+ BTC). We refused to use it improperly, because it was proven that the more machines using the BE200 chips we manufactured, the more losses we had.

The start of AMHash:

Around November 2014, the price of Bitcoin was low, and the competition in the manufacturing of ASICS was speeding and heating up. Manufacturers could not complete their sales project properly, and the manufacturing profit was at an all-time low. From previous experiences, there are 2 ways to clear up the stock quickly: To sell them or to use them ourselves. But due to the switch to large-scale and industrialized mining, the reality is a combination of the 2 methods previously stated: For the manufacturer to set it up themselves, and then sell the hashpower to customers; this way, the stock can be cleared, the cost can be earnt back + a little more, and a bit of maintenance fee.

Amhash has also contacted me about the statement by Rock Xie above. I will translate it asap later this evening.

Is not AM hash capable to translate themselves ? Are not those people behind AM hash are Chinese communicating in this forum in English ?

Their English is quite poor, to be honest.

About a year ago the support told me, they build a fee structure depending on traded volume.
Why it's not live yet?

Sorry about the delayed response.
We have cancelled the fee structure depending on traded volume, and market orders are now fixed at 0.6% and limit orders at 0.3%.
Any trader with a volume of more than 100BTC/month may contact us, and we will configure your account to have no fees. We reserve the right to withdraw this benefit at any time.
