1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: November 22, 2022, 08:58:42 PM
It is so very true about trusting the exchange, you just use them but you don't wholly use them. When you trade, deposit only the amount that you'll be using for trading, none other than that.
You can add to it that you don't have to be hyped with any popular person that gives his insights about the market. Like the typical thing when there's someone popular that gives advice about what he must do and the media hypes it. There were many people that have done the wrong thing of believing those.

I am glad the OP got those realizations. Because up until now, a lot have different outlook towards crypto market. For most who are not yet here, they thought crypto is a scam. But they only need right information to understand what the OP stated. Those simple lessons will give them good approach towards crypto and find ways how to secure their assets away from fraudulent sites and projects.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 29, 2022, 07:52:30 PM
Every dice site has tried a wagering contest (which really is just a reward to high rollers) so I would avoid that as it usually doesn't bring the desired traffic sites want right away. You could run a contest where users earn tickets for each 100$ wagered or whatever amount you wanted to make it. Users would then be entered into a random drawing with xx winners for xxx prize amount. It's not an original idea because Stake.com does a similar contest, but they seem to get a decent number of participants weekly from it.

I can agree with this method. Mostly, if it is the wagering contest, only high rollers have the chance to win the prize. But if there is a certain amount wagered that you can get for like a raffle ticket, that would be favorable to many. Hence, more players will have the chance to get the prize and they will be encouraged to play. Running a contest from time to time will refresh the interest of some players. At least, give a motivation for them to join.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i post satoshi posts in other forums here? on: October 17, 2022, 07:51:11 PM
So he leaves the bitcoin community in 2010 and risks to check in a conspiracy theory forum in 2013 just to say he's real? LOL!
Even more, "his" writing style looks different in 2013.

And that signature may or may not mean anything, but as it is, it's just a signature out of context. Can be anything.
Nice try, but wrong audience.  Cheesy

Exactly! Why would he post that in other forums if he is real? I am not seeing any valid reason why he will do that, if he is indeed Satoshi. A lot of people just want to mess up people's minds. They can easily create such seemingly signed message but it doesn't say anything at all.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TAMADOGE to $1 soon? on: October 14, 2022, 10:39:52 PM
Am not aware of this meme before now but from what I read above it seems like a meme with some hype surrounding it. We can't deny the high risk of investing in meme projects and we can not also ignore the probability of a high reward when the project becomes successful.

I try to avoid meme projects because of obvious reasons, @op seem to be certain this tamadoge can make a difference that will increase the price value to $1. I hope this speculation is base on the nature of development of the project and not just on hype. If there is a strong utility that will push the price up, perhaps it can happen in the next bull season.

$0.03 right now to $1, that's a huge leap. But knowing meme tokens, they can easily be hyped up and reach to $1. But be very careful when that happens, because they can easily go down hard without the possibility of recovery. Maybe, they have good plans right now, but check after a year if they are still active with their goals on this project. Hard to trust meme tokens these days.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mcdonald's in Lugano, Switzerland now accept Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 07:02:56 AM

What are your thoughts on this?

That is great news, McDonald's is the biggest restaurant chain in the world and if they are moving ahead with accepting Bitcoins in Switzerland it's a big step. This already happened in February this year and hopefully it was a successful trial experience for McDonald's. I also read that the whole municipality of Lugano wants to move more into the crypto world and will try to accept Bitcoins in everydays transaction. Lugano is a very touristic city that attracts many visitors in the summer and in the winter. If you can start using bitcoins in every store on your vacation that would be an awesome experience. So far I didn't read about other McDonald restaurants to also accept Bitcoins in Switzerland. It would be great if you could play in every McDonald's restaurant with Bitcoins. And once they made the first step, BurgerKing and KFC can't be far behind and do the same thing.

I believe it is not much of a surprise as Switzerland is indeed a crypto-friendly country. And since McDonald's is one of the popular fast food chains across the globe, this will be a good adoption when it comes btc payment. People will also appreciate it as LN has very very cheap fees. Educating people on how to transact with LN will be the bottleneck at first. But later on, once those staffs are knowledgeable enough, they can easily teach their customers how to utilize this payment to their advantage.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Estrada vs Chocolatito - Trilogy - Dec 3, 2022 on: October 04, 2022, 12:01:15 AM
I voted for Chocolatito, even though he is the older and they say that he is already past his prime, but if you put a fighter like Estrada in front of him (his rival), for sure it will bring the best out of him again.

Yes, I do agree that the fight is controversial, specially the 1st one, and so obviously they needed a 3rd fight to settle down the score. Chocolatito is the harder puncher for me and as the rounds go further, we will see him out punch Estrada in terms of volume, so this will end on the card and Chocolatito with majority or split decision win.

Chocolatito will show what he's got here. Happy that they got this trilogy sched this year. For now, forum voters are rooting for Chocolatito. Let us see if this will be the same with sportsbooks. But right now, it is not yet listed. Seems that we have a good lineup of boxing matches before the year ends as I am also waiting for Inoue vs Butler match.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what you think of this altcoin for 2025 on: September 21, 2022, 09:05:31 PM
2025 is 3years from now. So many things may happen before then, like;
1. coins that are existing now, may no longer exist by then.
2. New altcoins emerging and overtaken the top coins to be at the top of CMC.
3. A new blockchain may be introduced before then.
4. Zilliqa coin might amount to nothing or be the most talked about coin crypto.

In nutshell, never hype or hope on any altcoin for so long because many do lose their potential in years to come
the best stand is to always rely in strong coins such as Bitcoin , though there are already proven altcoin that can make or provide money from their supporters yet majority fails them in years cycle.
so if we wanted a safe investment always add bitcoin from the top and just add altcoins as diversification .
this will add safer investment and at least best decisions .

If we take the time to review the history of previous market cycles, it can be seen that many old altcoins will be replaced by new altcoins as the new bull season approaches, very few altcoins can survive and maintain its position. It seems that only ETH is the only altcoin that has not been displaced year by year.

If by 2025, we have more than 2 years left to invest in altcoins, then investing in altcoins right now is really risky, they don't die but let us return to the old ATH even surpassing the old ATH very unlikely. Therefore, we should focus mainly on bitcoin only. Recently, several new projects are being funded by large investment funds, the possibility of them displacing some of the top altcoins in the next bull season is possible.

Though there are good candidates other than BTC, still one should be careful in investing your funds to other alts. For me, ETH has solid position in this market. However, it is fine also exploring other alts but should be the top ones and with strong use case in the market. In this market, anything can go sideways without a warning. This is why most people are advising to invest in crypto market using the money that you can very well afford to lose.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your diversification strategy? on: September 14, 2022, 11:39:51 PM
When I saw this thread I thought it would be another one of those "you need to buy altcoins to diversify your bitcoin" threads. This is an improvement OP! Buying stocks is, contrary to buying altcoins, a real diversification.

That said, I don't have a diversification strategy, I'm all in bitcoin.
My chart would look like this:
80% bitcoin
5% money in the bank in various currencies
15% cash.
I don't need to buy other things. Change my mind! Tongue

Wow! You are a true believer of bitcoin as the large chunk of your money is in bitcoin. Anyway, everyone is free to do what they want with their funds. In my case, I am slowly accumulating gold in the form of jewelries. At least for me, it is not hard to keep it and the amount is not that much if you buy small items of gold jewelry. I am also observing my spending habits and not buying unnecessary things.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: September 08, 2022, 11:12:11 PM
...One example is those who invested in Shiba Inu.  It is true many consider this altcoin to be one of the shitcoins lurking around the market but we cannot deny the fact that early investors had greatly profited in this project.  For example, I invested around $42 in this token, and months later, my $42 investment profited a whooping 5000%+.  ..

Finding the right coin to invest in is the most difficult. And even if you find such a coin, very few will be able to hold it until high. In addition, it is very difficult to find such a coin if there is no knowledge and experience, and it is these qualities that a beginner usually lacks.

This is why if you don't know what coin you want to invest with, why not start with bitcoin itself? At least, you know, it won't disappear anytime soon. Unlike many alts, in which, their lifespan is too short or you have no certainty of their existence, bitcoin has been proven for more than a decade already. You can explore alts once you have better grasp of this market.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Platform? on: September 02, 2022, 11:35:10 PM
It is good if you will stick into the reputable and trusted already exchange by the most of the users which is the Binance still you have an option recent I discover different exchange and perks of it like the crypto.com and one of the recent is the MECX there's a lot more depends on the coin you want to supported with. But like the same of others peoples choice binance is the most user friendly.

Maybe you mean mexc.com exchange. But as you said, many are trusting binance for so many reasons. I am also confident using this exchange even if we say their KYC is mandatory. They also have very good liquidity of most known alts, which you can execute your order fast. But if you want to trade some tokens or coins that are new, most of the time, they are not yet listed in binance. Hence, you can check other reputable exchanges about the trading pair.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: I need advice from experienced users of this forum on: September 01, 2022, 10:46:53 PM
Looking at the screenshot provided, I don't think that you'll ever push this because you're at fault OP. There's the falsifying of documents that you've sent to them.
It's better to just accept the fate that has resulted in the termination of your account instead of trying to push it, which might cost you a lot of money. But, just like the others, I'm also confused with everything from OP and for the casino.

He needs to look outside of this situation, if the amount is really not worth to push thru that he may incur to spend his own resources along with the mental stress that it will bring to him, better move on and find another trustworthy casino to play with. Even if his principles is saying he needs to proceed what he is doing towards mbit. He should be practical these days. Just spread the warning signal to others. But he should not let this situation dictate his everyday life.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc not money on: August 29, 2022, 11:31:35 PM
It's funny when people say bitcoin is something or isn't something. It's a new thing. It's like people who were used to wired phones were saying that wireless phones are not phones but radios becase they had more properties of a radio than a phone. It's all about the way you use things. If you sharpen a metal and use it like a knife it becomes a knife. You can use bitcoin like you use money and it becomes money.

Anyway, I don't know where the OP is coming from. But he really posts a lot of nonsense things. Maybe he lost some of his money in buying btc or other alts. But if newcomers will read his post, it will give some sort of confusion to them. But if you want to get ahead of things, one should educate himself and read as much as he can to avoid misunderstandings in this market.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu has no value and shouldn't be bought on: August 28, 2022, 11:25:51 PM
Shiba Inu or other meme coins seem to be just waiting for time to jump, if only relying on the community and motivating for buy and hold and expectations of 1000x profit in a short time then we must be vigilant, of course the risk is in our hands that make decisions.
That's true but in-line to the OP's post, Shiba Inu doesn't hold any value at all that's why it is classified as a memecoin. Therefore, buying these coins will just be a total waste of time as the rise and dumps of this coin is controlled by the whales and it's really hard to get along with its weather.

It is still encouraged to buy other altcoins in the market that is more profitable in the future and holds real value unlike Shiba Inue. But if you're that someone who would like to take some extra risk then I think this coin is exactly for you.
I'm not against Shiba Inu nor I don't encourage people to invest in this project knowing that it is still profitable if we are too wise enough to manage the situation. But yes, keeping in mind that manipulation can be a cause of our losses so, therefore, don't get attached too long with this project and sell them once you've got some profit. Long-term holding is not ideal for this project but I know that it is indeed profiting and this is the reason why many people still investing and accumulating this, we can't generalize meme coins.

I am also with you here, it depends on the person whether he will invest on this or not. As long as he knows the possible repercussions of investing in a meme token. The lifespan is also questionable as they can easily disappear without a trace. Since most of us are investing for profit, then, it is your strategy on how to make profit out of your investments, meme token or not.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Tips to save my finances, to grow personal economy on: August 15, 2022, 10:15:34 PM
-snip-
-snip-
Of course, investment should not be forced if it interferes with your other needs. Welfare is not only measured by how much money you have, but of course your quality of life must also be good even if the investment is not much. The same goes for work, you should not be enslaved by work. You have to take a break because again, money is not everything in life even though life requires money.

As long as you are able to invest, regardless of the amount [a little or a lot] then do it to the best of your ability. 5% - 10% of your total income doesn't matter even if you can't always maintain consistency, because the most important thing is that you have it.

As we can put it, money is just only one of the facets how we survive on this world. But it is not the ultimate reason for living. We have other means to survive and with this in mind, we need to take care of our mental and physical health. There's nothing wrong if our savings or investments is small. As long as we are happy and contented with our own lives, that's much better than worrying too much that we don't have.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 25, 2022, 10:48:10 PM
If you're in hurry with the result, you have the option to place a bigger amount on a single bet but know that the risk of doing this is very high and most of the gamblers here want's to play longer, that why they are placing a small bets even on a single game as long as they get entertained. Well, the tips in OP is very helpful if we are going to understand it. I like the last part on recoding your bets because this can help you decide either to continue placing a bet or just stop and be back the next day. Sports betting is not easy at all, we have to analyze and know what works for you, we should always look for the odds as well.
I think that increasing our bet size doesn't speed up the process but if this was done in some casino games like dice then yes. Also I think that what @kakmakr was doing there actually saves more time than manually betting one by one. It is perfect if you are in a hurry like you will go outside or do something else.

Big or small bets, single or multi games, all of them can still go a long way because the outcome in sports betting usually takes time. Very different from the casino games where they are fast paced but if all what you want is entertainment then you better play in casinos but if it's for the profit then you are already on the right place.

I think that by pure logic we know that those who bet on sports have more chances of winning than playing in a casino game, whatever it is, because sports betting takes into account the degree of knowledge that the bettor has , and mostly it tests how much you know about the sport you bet on, while in a casino in most of its games, the person has to surrender much more to randomness and factors such as "luck", something that cannot be controlled, the only thing the player can do is apply what he knows, but it does not guarantee that he will be able to win, in part sports betting reminds me or makes an analogy of what happens with trading, which is largely negotiation is given to the degree of knowledge and the percentage of luck is minimal when a lot of information is handled, which for me is interpreted as more chances of winning that can be greater than 50%.

If you have very good knowledge with specific sports, like if you live and breath the sports, the chance of winning in sports betting is relatively high in my opinion. Because if you compare it with luck-based games, you have no fight with HE and even if you use some techniques like martingale, in the long run, you will still lose if you don't know when to stop. This is why I prefer sportsbetting if you do know even one sports. The chance of winning is higher. This is why there are many sportsbettors that can really live up with this venture.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalization of Bitcoin in the country on: July 12, 2022, 02:38:26 PM
We don't know what the future holds when it comes to crypto market in general. But if El Salvador is investing heavily on crypto specifically bitcoin, it means, they are seeing good future on this endeavor. We can't aim for $100k yet, but if situation permits, we may really see this price level in the years to come. It may not be this year, but possibly in the near future. As more and more stakeholders are getting involved and adoption is continuously growing, we are just hoping that the btc price will soon recover. And if that happens, El Salvador will be very glad on their decision, and for sure, other countries may follow their path.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption In El Salvador Seems To Be Failing on: July 11, 2022, 09:18:30 PM
We should also keep in mind that El Salvador didn't lose anything. 1BTC is still 1BTC. I know the problem may be another, but still, I think it's too soon to tell that the Bitcoin bet was a fail. There is still much to work on and a lot to evolve, embrace, etc. The more we see fiat going down, jus tlike what is happening in the Netherlands and in China, I think it will call for the people's attention regarding alternatives. People are desperated and usually humans adapt. I still hope the best is yet to come but also that the worse is also yet to come!

And as we have seen, El Salvador is still buying just like that they disclosed they bought btc at 19k level. So who knows, even at 20k level they are slowly stashing some? It is indeed true that they are not losing in this market if they are not yet selling. As they are very positive about btc market, they won't sell at a loss. And remember, this is not the end of the road for btc, so yes, there's hope that in the next coming months, btc will recover and may reach higher price levels.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 07, 2022, 09:56:50 PM
Gambling has been around since ancient times. In the old days, people used to gamble through various art techniques. They used to make gambling halls by cutting grooves on the wheels. Then slowly people move towards improvement and gambling improves.Nowadays people have been updated so much that now they are gambling online through mobile. Then maybe there will be more updates and we will see more updated gambling.

The evolution of gambling is really astonishing. And as we can see, it has existed since time immemorial. It has been with humanity throughout its evolution. So stopping gambling won't be possible because it is like innate to humans. And look at what we have now, we can gamble at the comfort of our home without ever dealing with actual people. Wink
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY is Terra pumping ? on: July 02, 2022, 11:52:20 PM
Now it seems that was just a fake recovery, maybe there's market manipulation going in the terra luna market.
regardless though considering the reputation of this coin, it could hardly recover back to its ATH again, so any effort of bullrun in terra luna could be said just a fake recovery.
terra luna has now become a shitcoin so there will be definitely more and more fake recovery going just like in meme coins in general.
Well we cannot deny that they have a big community and it could be that coin was manipulated by them or it perhaps under the pump and dump group. Perhaps they also follow the bitcoin trend as you can see bitcoin was declining now and started dropping again.
In my personal opinion, I don't see any good utility in these coins and I suspected that they have a group that manipulates the price.

As they want to portray that their project is not a total failure, definitely, they will have a dedicated group that will watch out their market. They are still careful these days as they want to show to the public that they are in the recovery mode. I hope those holders have learned their lessons and should do what needs to be done to recover your losses.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minor Protection From Gambling on: June 27, 2022, 10:55:02 PM
I think you are very right, implementing kyc is not a bad idea, to some level it will help, but even with kyc some parents will still create gambling account for their children and they will complete kyc for them which is bad because they are supporting minors gambling, so I believe their should be punishment for parents encouraging their children to gamble by paying fan if they are investigated and found guilty.
These kids can trick their parents in doing so.

Maybe they'll say that it's a sort of verification for their school or any legitimate place they're going and then, as busy parents are. They'll just do whatever their kids ask them to do.

And that's the bad side of being busy as a parent.

Bottomline, the impact would be on their kids. If they can't look after their kids, the likelihood of getting into this industry at early age is always there. The responsibility is with the parents. If they can't take care of their kids, at least, instill them the discipline and the value of money. Let us all admit that as parents, we can't watch them 24/7, so the influence is always there.
