5561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report Ripple Scam Address on: October 18, 2019, 07:41:34 AM
-snip-
Move the topic to "Scam Accusations", post in the proper format, like @Javi_Anibarro has said in their post.

Provide any other details that you have about this address. Where you got it from, when you got it, was it in an email or website? Those who know about blockchain forensics may be able to find the source of the address, which wallet it is coming from and if it just an exchange/casino wallet, which is often the case with money laundering.
5562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 18, 2019, 07:38:03 AM
Or the casino business owners can run their casino in a secret place, and only trusted people who can join with them, and they only invite people who they known before. Usually, this type of casino has wealthy members who don't want to get caught by the police, and they pay for some money to corrupt police to protect their business. I think that it has run in many countries in which gambling is prohibited, but they are free to operate the casino.
The casinos that are running here are mostly run from a country that has at least not made crypto or games of chance illegal. They do follow the local rules and in case they face problems they would shift their business to another private place.

The OP posted an article that refers to gambling in places where it is prohibited by laws. This is not related to the "faith" casino business owners. They have not done anything wrong here. They provided a service and if your country does not allow you to avail the service then its your problem. Circumvention of blocks is nothing new in the internet where cyber crime control is negligent, so no problem for those who want to gamble from prohibited locations.
5563  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: October 18, 2019, 07:32:44 AM
Someone who was correct in predicting a certain period economic outcome may not be correct again. Dont get my idea wrong, but you should stop listening to what mass media has to say about something that you are confident about. Manipulators are everywhere. You need to weed out the one that you dont need and keep your eyes on the prize.

He may be doing this a paid promotion, like Dimon and so one. But really if you believe in the future of bitcoin to be worthy as a store of value, would you back out for any reason? This person might just be trying to dip the market so he can buy more. You never know. Roll Eyes
5564  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What’s Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: October 18, 2019, 07:22:46 AM
I think there's still a level of distrust towards cryptocurrencies from the general population, or even a feeling of intimidation.
Your methods of shilling your own site need to improve. Stop making yourself look like a joker inserting a link in the middle of the text.

Cryptocurrency is now increasingly recognized by the world community,

but even so not all parties support the existence of this cryptocurrency.
These two phrases are contradictory. It is not supported by all parties and that is why it is less recognised. I dont think any of the 40+y old population think of it as a mode of payment, unless they had been early investors. New investors of this age group is rare.

Quote
Though many advantages are offered from cryptocurrency, the cause is the first one most don't understand what cryptocurrency is. So if people do not understand he will avoid it or choose not to use it.
Some people do but they are not happy with the concept of "decentralisation". They feel even though it is supposed to bring back power to them, it is actually taking it away, making things less secure.

Quote
The second reason because of extreme volatility which means it has a very high risk because the price is volatile.
Any speculative market is volatile. Even the fiat currencies are volatile because they are forexed everyday.

Quote
The third is due to legal issues, people are afraid to use cryptocurrency because of fear considered illegal activities. Because the government has not fully accepted existence cryptocurrency, which is still in the gray zone.
Legal problem is a major factor. Governments wont accept bitcoin very easily and they will continue to do against it. Nothing much can be done in this case.
5565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: October 17, 2019, 09:29:22 AM
Also, most bitcoiners play with anonymous identities for privacy reasons.
There still exists a lot of gamblers who play for fun on physical casinos. Not everyone is using or knowing about crypto and many of them dont adopt or think bitcoin to be worth using. Some, like in popular media consider it to be a ponzi, though for bitcoiners they know its not true. So this is more of a bitcoin Vs Adoption context.

Privacy is one thing and bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous. A good blockchain forensic service can find out a lot of information on the address spending the coins and casinos need to do that for tainted sources. It does give a mode of privacy but its not completely so.
5566  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Script for e curency online on: October 17, 2019, 09:25:02 AM
I checked them but They not gona tell me which script they using.
You cant expect a company to reveal their trade secret do you? If you a well running business would you share it with a unknown person?

Maybe you are interested in developing your own currency exchange. So you should hire a team to develop it for you and depending on your own expertise of your field, you might be a part of a big team. Say you are the owner then you will be giving out the plan for the project and look out for investors for funding the project as the development occurs.

You cant expect someone to spoon-feed the system to you. You have to do some work on your own. Brainstorm some ideas, go for that extra mile!
5567  Economy / Services / Re: delgoplus.com | Looking people who can make a signature on: October 16, 2019, 11:54:41 AM
We have a large number of people providing signature and avatar designing services. You can find the list here -
Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar, etc) Last Update: 08-Sep-2019

1. I would suggest you to change your payment mode from tokens to bitcoin or established altcoins like Ethereum or litecoin. With tokens as payment you may not get the top class designers and would have been already getting spammed by PMs from wannabe low quality designers.

2. Another noteworthy thing is that hire a proper manager to manage the campaign if you want to make a proper impact on the members of this forum. Hiring a manager who does not know whom to enroll in the campaign would mean a disaster.

3. I looked into your team members. I could not find links to the rest of your team other than Agus Wildhan. Care to update the website please?
5568  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Initial Offerings Overpriced? on: October 16, 2019, 09:05:19 AM
The initial high corporate valuation is normal if it is a potential business and is sought by many people.
Which is absent in 99% of ICO or any such initial offering. They dont run a business to create something new. They are just raising money at an attempt to make something new from wannabe venture capitalists who dont even understand the meaning of the word "venture" - this is the average "crypto-enthusiast" you see everyday on this forum.

Quote
When a business is launched in a new type of market with lots of demand, it will easily become a unicorn.
The rarest and the most profitable type of investment that is.

Quote
therefore, evaluating potential is more important than looking at value.
Correct, but try evaluating the ICOs that happen. Not even one had any potential to be a game changer.
5569  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A humble request to Yobit Officials! on: October 16, 2019, 09:00:19 AM
If you are expecting Yoshit officials to respond to your topic then you are living in a fool's paradise. Optimism is a good thing, I agree, but optimism without logic is a waste of time and energy.

The fact that only few of the Cryptotalk participants will read this and maybe change their ways of posting is the only thing that would be good. The rest of them will either get blacklisted by yahoo, or get banned on too many posts removed or simply caught to be an alt of some red-trusted user.

You should visit this cryptotalk forum once a while and check at the immense level of shitposting to get paid that is occurring there. No number of moderators can control it, which having to tear all the hair from their heads to start cleaning the mess up. I am sure Yoshit does nothing about that too.
5570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange platform are why ieos have gone quiet on: October 16, 2019, 08:55:43 AM
The more reason why decentralized exchange should be available in huge numbers,
Again with huge number as you say, a similar problem will arise. Some of them will be shady and turn out be scam, some will run away when the authorities come after them and some will remain for a short period before sudden disappearing with no trace.
Quote
with dex project owners don't need to suffer such unjust exploitation in the hands of these exchanges, there are little or no fee in listing on a dex, kyc limitations is out of the question, users are at liberty to trade the way they desire, I think will this be the solution to this problem,
The only thing that need to be focus  on is to make  dex more user friendly, very flexible and easy to use, this will attract more people to use dex, hopefully, the attention will shift from Cex to DeX.
Still is pretty far from becoming reality, and who knows when people would trust a dex more than a cex. They prefer the original cexes more than dex. Although at this point the liberty seems real but it may change once a wave of transfer from cex to dex starts and that then the real power/poof of dex will be put into question.
5571  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: October 16, 2019, 08:51:58 AM
The chance to win the jackpot is really low.
There would be any reason to call it "The jackpot" if it was easy to win. If you think winning the jackpot is a cup of tea then you are mistaken.

Quote
The chance of rolling 77.77 for two consecutive times is (0.0001^2)=0.00000001=0.000001%
Even if someone does that, The prize depends on the bet amount. If the bet amount is lower than 0.0001 BTC, nothing will be awarded.
I think that jackpot will never be achieved.
For the sake of argument, some people had rolled this number and statistically speaking a roll with the same number coming twice is likely to happen every few weeks. But the problem is that many people had got the rolls under the zero bet or lower than minimum bet to be eligible for the jackpot. There is a minimum bet amount for that too, which if not rolled would give out a much smaller fraction of the total pot.

If they would be willing to take the risk then that is another question, but chances are that you could make more profits from just betting than thinking about rolling the jackpot amount.
5572  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What kind of function would you like to have on an exchange? on: October 15, 2019, 07:05:25 AM
A good exchange in my opinion should have the following features if not more, what the above people suggested:

1. A responsive support system
2. Quick notification system for downtimes, new coins/markets listing, new features.
3. A UI that is easy on both PC and Smartphones. Having an App is secondary for me, though others may want it.
4. Coupons, referral system and incentives to keep the traders happy from time to time especially the loyal traders and maybe the ones from bitcointalk.Grin
5. A liquid market would be great but it takes time to get one.
6. KYC will probably come in once at a time and because some criminals attempt to launder money from tainted sources and so on. So that will happen but I hope you can keep it aside for legitimate users.

Some users have suggested leverage, but I feel it is being way overdone by bigger exchanges and for a new exchange like yours which is being developed, this should be a late goal once the exchange itself is functional.
5573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 15, 2019, 06:58:14 AM
Taking over a year to pay bounty and still not knowing if you will ever get it or if it will be worth anything.
People need to stop doing bounties to get paid. Of course they wont be worth anything. A project which may be veiled as successful from outside may not have raised so much so that they could cover the bounty payment and so they delay it while looking for new venture capitalists and private investors. Waste of time if you ask me.

Quote
Sometimes you wait months just to find out the token will not be listed so you get a wallet full of nothing.
The only measure to stop that is to stop doing bounties and participate in bitcoin paying campaigns.

Quote
This is why I like the new IEO since you know it will be listed for sure so it will at least be worth something so you know you will be paid you just don't know how much. They also seen to distribute the tokens faster then they use to with IEO.
IEO is another rebranded name for ICO/STO/ITO and so on. Even if they get listed, who is going to buy the tokens? If you think you will get rich by selling those bounty tokens then you are mistaken. Unless the project itself has a use case or an MVP that is continuously being developed to create its own market for the token and their adoption of that token, the project will fail. Thats 99% of every initial shitcoin offering. Roll Eyes
5574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll on: October 15, 2019, 06:54:03 AM
Investing on the site with a 1 year locked in period with guaranteed fixed % is risky. You should invest on the bankroll itself and is withdraw-able any time you want.
I am not of the same opinion though. Some people are weak handed and initial losses make them withdraw their funds out of bankroll but this sis completely normal and the rise in amount occurs after some days have passes. Again there are people who can put their money in and forget about it for months. You dont need a lock in period. CGames has a minimum investing period, which if you decide to disobey would mean a penalty fee before your divest.

But if you are strong willed enough, and I think that should be with every risk taker here, you should not have any problem with emotions about withdrawing while investing.
5575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: October 15, 2019, 06:50:28 AM
It will be almost impossible to filter out scammers from legit projects but there are ways. One is to confirm the identity of the people behind the project. Not all pictures of the CEO or the dev team you see are legit. I have a friend that encountered a project that is actually a scam and they used stolen pictures from other legit projects.
Stolen pictures of using stock images of models to show as team members is a common tactic. Because some bounty lovers go for such projects and know some turn scam they might go to check the website and the owners but some pictures they think that all is good and start their bounty spamming, because they are greedy to get paid and not check the team properly.

Fact is that even established team end up with exit scams. Look at the AMBIT mining ICO. The owner Beka has shutdown the site and now posting Instagram stories leaving investors who invested millions of dollars at nothing but dust in their hands.
5576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: October 14, 2019, 08:13:58 AM
I chose not to play.
Its a personal choice. Some people like the hustle and bustle of the physical casino, it gives them some good vibes and they like it so they choose to play there.

Online casinos came here for a reason. People need anonymity when dealing with big amounts of money and the fact that provably fair exists leaving out all human bias the online game is more reliable to be clean than a physical dice game. Whether you like it or not, casino giants like Primedice have mastered this and have a unbroken record of being the most fair casinos out here.
5577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No other currency on: October 14, 2019, 08:10:59 AM
What if there is no other crypto currency or alt coin. How does it affect the price of the bitcoin. How high is the value of bitcoin in your opinion.?
Then it would be same as what fiat is today. People would decide on a price for different articles in the marketplace and buy then as per their needs. The only thing is that deflationary supply makes it rise in price and inflation would not happen. Prices of stuff would decrease in the long run instead of increasing, because the bitcoins are being rarer.

But it does not mean that if such an economy would exist then another currency would not come into view. Gold and precious metals would always exist and they have a bustling market as well. In the absence of fiat, what you hypothesize of, precious metals would become similar to money tenders.
5578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE reaches 30sats! Do you think it could go higher now? on: October 14, 2019, 08:06:58 AM
Following its listing on BitMax, DOGE has reached the 30sats mark.
Does not matter. Doge is a shitcoin made out of memes and their popularity. Getting listed we often see assets rising in value but it can be for other reasons too, like bagholders pumping the small cap shills to promote the coin and create a fake buying pressure so some other idiots are drawn to it.

Quote
Do you think it's the beginning of a bull run or it will go down now?
In the long term it will remain low and stagnant at lower levels, because DOGE does not have any use case of its own and has zero value altogether. But seeing the market manipulated by bagholders you can expect both to happen.
5579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest any good & trusted LTC web wallet? on: October 14, 2019, 08:03:13 AM
I used block.io at one time to store my LTC. You could try that too, it is a web wallet with 2FA and email confirmations for any type of action on your account. Their fees are by default set and cannot be changed which is a downside, but its their model of charging I guess. Use their free plan for regular work.

I would also point out that using a desktop wallet is better than using a web wallet, for the issue with private keys not being in your control and a security breech could end up with your coins inaccessible or lost.
5580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading. Where to start? on: October 13, 2019, 10:51:04 AM
That makes sense, but while greed is pushing them to use marging trading in this market at the same time it seems they do not understand how dangerous it is, there are traders clamming to be using 50x or even 100x of leverage and that means that even the smallest movement in the opposite direction of their prediction can be enough to ruin them and not only that it is likely they will develop bad trading habits in the process that will cost them even more money in the future.

Its unhealthy which is what my point is. Doing margin trading only increases the mental trauma to any commoner. I dont know if any trader exists who makes money everyday from margin but I doubt they do because most of the top traders are spot traders and not gamblers.

The leverage does attract a lot of greed and that is what fuels the market of margin trading. Because the markets are more in a stagnant phase in the 8000-9000 USD marks people are getting desperate not having a big swing to sell/buy on. So they are moving temporarily to other more risky methods, which I pointed out in another such thread yesterday.

I feel that newbies should stay away from margin unless they learn the basics of spot trading before margin trading.
