I read in ether forums that using DisplayDriverUninstaller and Reinstalling the driver might solve the problem.

Can anyone expain this? That GPU1 is saph nitro 4gb elpida with sony87 bios mod. I think its just that memory controllers have hard errors on them or something?! It cant be true that the load is 55% and speed is up this much at the same time?

Does anyone know what memory manufacturer MSI cards have?

I have 6 MSI RX 470s and 5 would hash at 20mh and 1 would hash at 4mh. I did not know what this was or how to fix it no matter what I did so, I returned the Gigabyte Motherboard and got a MSI motherboard. I am Still having the same issue. If I remove 1 470, then 4 would hash at 20mh and 1 would hash at 4mh. What am I missing?
Try switching the cards in slots. I ran 1 470 with 22, then added another with riser, that one did 4mh, but when i switched slot, it did fine @ 22mh. I read on some topic that for some people switching the cards did the job.

armyman your PSU isn't enough. You shouldn't run a PSU at more than 80% of it's rating. rx480's can pull up to about 225 watts each, which is 1,350 watts. You have up to another 150-200 watts for the system also, excluding the vid cards. So you are over 1500 watts on a 1200 watt PSU. Of course it will not be stable. A 1600 watt PSU will run 6 480's and the system....just. It is still pushing the limit a bit much when you factor in the 80% rule....but it will run stable.
The miner doesnt start - this isnt a problem by psu power. If psu power fails, the system shuts down.

I remember that from somewhere i read that in UEFI settings choosing the pcie generation manually did some trick. Try that aswell, Gen2 or Gen3.

It's not better, it's different like apples and oranges. Its better for the environment and better for the coin itself since it won't be mined by huge mega farms that dump the coins for profit.
PoS coins also have the equivalent of "huge mega farms" they just called whales who own and stake a large amount of the total supply. Which brings me to my problem with pure PoS coins that it's going against good distribution because it's basically a rich gets richer scheme. Users are incentivized to hoard and hold their coins to stake instead of using them and pushing them back to circulation. Staking is basically a method for creating artificial scarcity in order to try increasing the price - instead of natural growth. The more you hold, the more you earn. But since every staker earns coins at the same rate, nobody really earn any value over other holders (their slice of the cake is the same in relation to the whole cake) unless the value of the coin increases. Sure, PoS has its advantages and PoW has its disadvantages but I believe PoW is superior for crypto especially now that we're rushing towards renewable electricity. Thank you for your insightful and wise thoughs! I'm glad that my own (incomplete) knowledge was at least going towrds the right direction! Cheers!

You don't need a new mobo .... Replace that 2+2+1+1 memory configuration to 1 x 8GB or 16GB ( DDR3-1333, DDR3L-1333 @ 1.5V ) memm stick and you will be ok . Let me know if it's fixed your problem :-)
Or you can try with 4GB system memory, win 10 will recognizing the gpu s , but the hashing speed is will be around 4MH/s for each gpu ...
8GB or 16GB SYSTEM MEMORY WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM !!!!
I bet you 1 btc that 4 GB is enough to work well enough A most plain rig with a celeron processor and 4gb ram is enough to run a miner.

Sapphire RX 470 Nitro+ 4gb i always use atiflash from the command line, the only time i tried to use the ui version atiwinflash it hanged up and i had to unbrick the card flashing the bios using another card as primary to be able to boot.
I always used AtiFlash from windows for all my mods , and my friends cards . Never had any issue . Sometimes its looks like the AtiFlash is hang during the flash , but most of time is not ! Sometimes its need 5 minutes to finish the flash , during this time it looks like the computer screen frozen , keyboard mouse not working , Not Responding ... If you turn off your computer (with forced reboot or turn off) , during this time period , then you screwed up your flash and u will need use another card to re-flash the bad one . Is it reasonable to flash 6 cards at once?

mostly stable for me RX 480 8gb reff Rx 470 4gb nitro Care to share the nitro bios and polaris/wattman screen? Thanks mate, very nice results, do you know what is your consumption@wall? I'm using this bios to get around 28 mh/s also https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9533/28mh-470oc-nitro-4gb-boysie-rom-dual-mining/p1Works pretty well but you have to set the dcri to a specific value to really get that numbers. I managed to get 29.2 mhs + 450 decred/sia getting the mem to 2060@1.15 and core to 1260@1100 OC nitro? Is that just the same as the nitro or are there two different nitro's? Oh yea, and as i understand it is better to save stock bios with polaris bios editor than gpu-z? And i can use atiwinflash while using integrated graphics, right?

Every card is different. I had one card I had to lower strap to 1950 because it was hanging every few hours/days. While another card with even a lower ASIC quality was running perfectly fine.
Can anyone explain what are these "straps" ?

Hey, just cheking again so i don't mess anything up later. To start tweaking the card with watttool i just put the card in system and then run the program in windows, nothing else? Or is there some other steps like, i need to flash vbios first? I would appreciate a little step-by-step tutorial just to be sure I just haven't done this before, only tweaked in msi afterburner which doesnt let you tweak that much. voltage control locked etc.

@nevermind41 as i understand i could get a msi 470 8gb and take wattman to tweak the card's settings ?

So what is the general consensus for the new Rx cards? More efficient to buy 470 or 480? As i see 470 doesn't do that much worse than 480, but it has lower power consumption and is cheaper? And as a newbie i still havent figured out how this bios flashing goes, when i want to get better results, as i understand its not possible in windows?

Same here...Currently only way to mine at Nicehash is turn off fee's. I don't wanna turn off fees. I want to support you. Looking forward to a fix. Thank you for a superior product!
what's up with all this nicehash mining anyway? Give me one reason why nicehash is more profitable than dwarfpool.

being new to all of this, can i get a little explanation what the concept of parity is?

Yes, thats normal if you use -dcri 120... but why would you do that? Press "-" 90 times and magic happens.
Anyone has problem with low payout of eth at nanopool? Stats show longterm hashrate same as miner but payouts are about 15-20% lower than any calculator (but their own) shows.
No problem here, i see real payouts as big as they should be. Calcs show me that i get ~18eth/month and the recent payouts are all ~0.15 four times/day which roughly is 0.60x30=18

Nanopool, SIA: after updating to 5.3 and changing to stratum shares accepted but never shows on account, workers are not visible in the list. For more than 2hr by now. Also I added another worker and changed names for the firs one. Triple checked everything and in miner shares shows accepted. help plz! Did you use the new guide for connecting? 1 day ago, nanopool changed how you connect to their stratum. Check their help page. For me v5.3 works fine, i see everything i need.
