101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 01, 2017, 03:14:58 PM
An interesting project:

Quote
SPECTRE, described as a “fast and scalable distributed ledger protocol,” could be the solution to some of Bitcoin's woes. Utilizing a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) similar to ByteBall, SPECTRE, an acronym for “Serialization of Proof-of-work Events: Confirming Transactions via Recursive Elections,” claims to increase the throughput of the network, confirmation times, and be as resilient, if not more so, against 50 percent attacks.

https://btcmanager.com/news/tech/spectre-protocol-dag-structure-to-solve-scalability/
So, the DAG age is coming. Is there a thread for this project? I found a spectre coin thread, but they use an algorithm called Proof-of-Stake v3, and it seems the ico period has ended.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Behind the courtains - China vs Bitcoin on: January 31, 2017, 08:23:03 PM
Bitcoin is seen by most politicians as a threat to their model of government. Therefore, it was expected that, at a time or another, such governments would try to bring limitations against the use of Bitcoin. The point is that they would be struggling against technology, and more than that, it is a decentralized form of technology.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is chronobank ? on: January 30, 2017, 03:57:15 PM
The question is, would this system be more efficient than existing services, in which people are paid in Bitcoin, such as Bitwage? Creating a new cryptocurrency for this purpose is this really necessary?

My guess will be less of the efficiency because too many the people are not familiar with the cryptocurrency.

I don't see something is really behind the project. If about an efficiency and he could have made their own blockchain for controlling their project is become stable every time because they're selling the words available up to 24/7.

This shouldn't be a problem. ChronoBank deserves a chance to proof their worth. I understand that ICO success doesn't really guarantee that The Project will succeed as well. But I have this feeling that Chronobank will succeed. ChronoBank is backed by a host of dedicated developers and growing community support. For the records, Over 3000 BTC has been collected in their ICO.

Yeah I think chronobank will survive the ICO also it seems that it's a promising project that could be a good service and alt coin after it gets out of ICO. Just really hope that it gets the funding and attention it needs after it gets officially release as that might be its downfall like other successful ICOs.
It seems like they are investing heavily in marketing, I have seen ads in different places, even on coinmarketcap.com, but something they are not making very clear is the platform's operation, I think they should clarify this in the best way possible, if they want to attract more investors.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: January 30, 2017, 03:53:30 PM
There are so many altcoins out there that is very difficult to be smart and pick a good coin. I personally believe in bitcoin I also bought some creditbit at good price, i like their vision, now they are moving on ethereum platform and have some really cool stuff, hope i would gain more profit on long term.
There are altcoins that actually bring improvements, and may contribute to cryptocurrency space, but unfortunately most are schemes to grab money. One of the problems of the altcoins is also the fact that, because there are hundreds of them, many users are confused when choosing a currency. At the moment, I see few possibilities that would bring good returns, and I would probably hold Bitcoin.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can I really 'do' with my bitcoin? (I can't sell it) on: January 30, 2017, 03:50:46 PM
buy steam games directly with bitcoins

there are plenty of good ones that will run in any computer that is able to run the old CS 1.6

also you can buy gift cards for United State stores, but you already know about it
This is a good example of a large company that is making Bitcoin available as a form of payment. I think the first big companies to take initiative will be online shopping companies, and probably someday amazon.com will be among these companies.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be our new world currency? on: January 30, 2017, 03:46:15 PM
Any Bitcoiner around the forums will say exactly the same thing ... we all hope that bitcoin will be . but there is a low chance for that so low . I'd say US Dollar for the next 30 years however that dosen't mean Bitcoin failure...

Indeed, maybe it is because they really wanted that bitcoin will become a legal currency interntionaly. Although, there is a big possibility to be happen but it will take more more years before it happen. lets us go with the flow for awhile until the right time comes for the bitcoin community.
Despite all the progress that the cryptocurrencies have been doing lately, and that will probably continue to do, I think people will continue to use fiat currencies for a long time. The reason is not that fiat currency is more efficient, but it is because many people have a lot of resistance to learn something new, and many of them fear change.
107  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learn to trade on: January 30, 2017, 03:42:17 PM
So far I don't know of any service that is worth paying. However, I have already had good results in trading using sources of information that anyone willing to learn could access. Many of the information I got came from websites like reddit, bitcointalk, slack channels, among other sources... but I think that makes things riskier. If you do not have much experience, it may be advisable to look for a good service or professionals that can guide you.
108  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: January 30, 2017, 03:38:25 PM
Imagine you had a daily income of 40$ each day in bitcoin, what would do with them and where would you invest them ?

It is still much better for you invest it to buy a coins whether in trading platform or potential ico that has promising project. Then do some trade in the exchange site, besides 40$ is enough as daily profit.
I think it is possible to get good gains in trading with this investment. However, it is important to be aware that certain price variations are very difficult to predict. In certain situations Bitcoin is very bullish, but unexpectedly there is some price fall, and in certain situations the investor only understands the causes of it hours after the event. I think it is important to be aware of these risks, and I also think it's advisable to invest only part of that money, because of this instability.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: January 30, 2017, 03:31:41 PM
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.

Maybe, I guess it will happen that in year 2022 many bitcoin enthusiast more involved into this industry. And many of the business by that time will already adopting the system concept of bitcoin. and the price value in the market for sure its high also. There majority of us will become rich, cheers!!!
I think that in 2022 it would be too soon to see Bitcoin reaching such a large number of people. However, I am really impressed with Bitcoin's progress in recent years. Bitcoin is a relatively new technology, and is already receiving investment from large companies and large investors. I am waiting to see what projects like MegaUpload 2.0, Bitcache, Lightning Network and other projects are able to bring to the ecosystem.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do Use/Spent Bitcoin ? on: January 30, 2017, 03:26:50 PM
in my country not much service or shop who accept bitcoin as payment so i can't spend my bitcoin directly to buy or purchase something so i should exchange bitcoin to my countries currency then i can spent it sometimes i can use bitcoin to buy some digital goods and its very helpfull can use it around the world without difficulty

It's really weird that there is a psychiatric in my country where you can spend BTC at but we've got less than five total shops thst accept it (and most of them are electronic shops). I guess we have to wait a little more until it will get into a wider use around the world.
In certain countries, things are quite advanced. The greater the level of people's knowledge about technology, the greater the chance of finding people who know Bitcoin in those countries, and consequently the greater the adoption in different services. There are already places where you can even buy a plane ticket using Bitcoin.
111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: January 29, 2017, 03:58:58 PM
In this type of business, trading without the necessary knowledge for sure is the biggest mistake. And the second biggest problem, in my opinion, is not controlling one's own greed. That is one big problem that many traders go through in situations in which they don't know how to identify the right time to invest or the right time to stop, to wait for a better opportunity. Such failures can lead to losses that will be difficult to recover. There are ways to solve this problem, the main one of which is to have self-control, the other way is by gaining experience in the market.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question; Bitcoin Payment on: January 29, 2017, 03:54:01 PM
I haven't heard about any such service so far (bitpay and such services are able to accept payments in bitcoin only) but even if there is any service then they will charge anything from 1% to 10% as per mode through payment received so it's better to use the same payment method for accepting payment and buy bitcoins directly from market (you will get 1% to 10% more with this method).
yes  agree i also never such service who are accepting in bitcoin only, although there are some service who usually give you option for payment including Bitcion, paypal, USD etc but accepting only bitcoin i think such service is not yet present anywhere. i think it can only possible when majority of people will adopt bitcoin and will mostly do their dealing in bitcoin, but i think it still require some more time, may be some decades.
Maybe it will not take that long. There are already big investors considering the possibility of investing in projects that may help Bitcoin to become mainstream, and certainly this proposal can be taken into account. Bitcoin has a relatively new ecosystem, and in fact it takes patience to see things happen. I think it is also necessary to solve scalability problems, so that such projects work efficiently.
113  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why do so many people hate Coinbase? on: January 29, 2017, 03:50:47 PM
I think many users don't like the service because they have faced problems in the past, such as frozen accounts and problems with support. However, not everyone hates the service, I realize that many users still use coinbase, and this makes me think that there are still a lot of people satisfied with the service.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: January 29, 2017, 03:48:16 PM
I would like to vote Trading. because nowadays it has many user&mainly most of the people are related to it&it's also profitable If You use properly  Cool

I think that trading is really the best source of bitcoin nowadays. I have a friend that has another source of bitcoin that is not listed on the poll that can be considered to other source. Because he is a person that manage to be in the deep web as we know people there are brutal and gets paid for their brutality but good to know that an abuser was caught today here in my country and now she's in jail together with his pedo partner.
Wow, I agree with you. People in the deep web is dangerous. We better to looking for safe source of bitcoin such as trading, we are not get into jail because of trading, are we?
I also think this would be a risky decision. There are many possibilities to make a profit in crypto, I think the only thing necessary is to strive to learn some skill that allows you to create something of value. In fact this is something needed anywhere, not just on the internet, but also in real life.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: January 29, 2017, 03:45:44 PM
Not easy i believe. Actually very hard. Quit smoke more easy. Some of gambler play for money, some of play for adrenaline, some of play for just fun so there is only one way to give up. Find a real love Wink

Gambling is sickness so we r all sick. We need a real life partner. So she/he can forget everything about gambling. Hope we find that real love. I can bet myself for cant find Cheesy
I think they are the same. Smoking and gambling cause a lot of trouble to anyone who get addicted. I have seen a guy who smokes for more than 30 years and now he has a lung cancer. Damn. It is hard to quit something you are already addicted to. Try not to involve in these things or your life will soon collapse
I think that people who know they have difficulty controlling themselves, should not even initiate such practices. Gambling is something that was made for people that hava self-control, moreover, if you play with intent to get rich, this is another mistake because in gambling the chances of losing are always greater than the chances of winning.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to explain bitcoin advantage ?? on: January 29, 2017, 03:42:03 PM
if you want to make faucets, maybe you could try to offer the service to make altcoins faucets for a fair price

there are lots of ICO coins around, I guess there is some demand for such service, but I'm not sure what would be the competition

Altcoins faucets may not be profitable. A better option is to make a bitcoin faucet and give satoshis per claim. This will make the faucet site popular in no time. You can place google Ads on your site to earn from advertisements.
I think even the faucet owners may find it difficult to get good results with it, as there are many websites made for this purpose, that means there is a lot of competition. This is also technically difficult to create and maintain, you must have web design skills, and you need to have the knowledge required to eliminate possible security holes in the website.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much BTC is required for trade? on: January 29, 2017, 03:37:56 PM
It looks like it is your first time to start the trade so you have to remain cautious about the coins in which you are investing and you do not need to spend much on starting the trade. Spend only the smallest amount which you can afford to lose and when you know that you can trade successfully then spend more bitcoins on trade.
Yeah, I think that for beginners it's never advised to start investing very large amounts of money. It is better to invest small amounts, and gain experience with small trades... over time, the trader will be able to make better projections in the market and will understand aspects that were previously seen as incomprehensible, increasing the chances of making better decisions.
118  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: solo mining probability on: January 29, 2017, 03:31:31 PM
so  0.0000667 %  every 10 min to solve block  right ?    (runnin 2ths)

yes.. something like this...
not impossible but very hard to realize
Chances are extremely low, more than I imagined. I think in solo mining chances would be very low even if you had a decent farm, but if you really want to try this, it can be a interesting experience.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to create own bitcoin gambling site? on: January 28, 2017, 03:17:06 PM
A gambling website can be a good project. The level of difficulty you will have will depend on your abilities. First, for other users to be able to advise you, it would be helpful if you tell them what kinds of skills you have. If you don't have programing skills, or a deep knowledge about Blockchain Technologies, you will certainly have an additional cost to hire professionals who can help you in this process of development. In addition, there is the cost with marketing, so that other users can know your service.
120  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking for any kind of job on: January 28, 2017, 03:08:02 PM
Why not post all your skills here and wait for somebody who are interested on it. This way they will all know what is your skills and what you can do. Hope id help you.
This information is something that could help identify what kind of activity fits the OP's profile. What I can say for now is that in crypto, there are several ways to get a good financial return, but most of them will require a lot of effort, or skills that few people have. If you don't have such skills, there are always ways to learn.
