How about brand names like BitCasino or MegaDice? Will Google translate do? (비트 캐노 and 메가디스)

As a native Korean googling Bitcoin, what do you type in the search engine?
Do you type Bitcoin with latin characters? How do you normally write Bitcoin?

First of all excuse me if you think its a noob question, but consider me a noob as I am trying to understand.
I've got a couple of questions about mining, (which I think fits in bitcoin section rather than the mining section)
First: Why do bitcoin needs mining? Second: What do they actually mine?
You are probably best off Googling these exact questions... or search in youtube. What you find there will probably explain faster and easier than what people type in this forum. At least if you just want some quick facts and to know the basics.

coinmama - israeli project 99 bitcoins - israeli project and many others that i forgot. what do you think ? I think that jews know how to make money. If they really know how to make money they would have invested a long time ago and then been hodlers under the radar. Bitcoin tech startup are most likely to fail.

Is it possible that Rakki N.V. never owned satoshidice.com domain in the first place? The domain leased out to Rakki N.V. who hosted the game with Satoshidice brand. Later the owner of the domain gets a better deal from bitcoinvideocasino, and Rakki N.V. moves out to a new domain with Megadice brand?
This is the best theory so far. It explains that there was no need to move the cold storage too.

Wow, I am so happy with the analysis you have there, but I would like to ask what is the minimum investment amount to bankroll and also I want to ask of the commission paid will be added to the initial investment and by so that means compounding the investment? Response will be appreciated
The minimum amount is 0.01. Commission is charged on sundays (they claim), and this does not go into the bankroll but rather to a pool of moey from with they can pay their costs, get rich etc.

Hello i just found out a bout bitcoin mining few days ago and i want to get into it, did alot of research about the whole thing, but i think theres plenty more of stuff that i need to know, so thats why im here. I was checking out this site called "nicehash" and soon realised that it needs a higher first investment to actually profit from it so i was wondering if any of you could recommend a legitimate and easy to use hashing site for a begginer, thank you.
For the whole existence of Bitcoin the best advice to make money off of it was always to just buy coins and HODL long term. Anything else is far more likely to ruin you than make you rich.

I love the applied game theory of Bitcoin, and the simplicity of the system. Satoshi should just have added some incentive to run a full node and proof of stake as part of the mining....

Sites such as https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ calculate the average fee value required for approval of transactions. The higher the Fee value, the sooner we are approved. Does this have a certain limit? If the value of the Fee is too high, is it possible to be approved in less than 10 minutes? No, it can not be "approved" (confirmed) before the next block. A high fee will just make it likely to be included in the next block, and on average it takes roughly 5 minutes for the next block to appear.

Nice to see this classic is still alive, but seems like Monthly Draw etc is not running?

You should use the dynamic fee estimation feature of Bitcoin Core. When you go to send a transaction, there is an option at the bottom for "transaction fee" and a button labeled "Choose...". Click that and you will get a box with a bunch of information for setting the fee. Choose the radio button labeled "Recommended" and move the slider there all the way to the side labeled "Fast" (I think it is on the right, it may have been reversed). That will always set your transaction fee to be based upon what is currently happening on the network so that your transactions will have a (overly) sufficient fee.
There is one caveat though. You need to have Bitcoin Core running a for a while in order for it to gather enough data to properly estimate the fee. So you cannot just start Bitcoin Core and expect the fee estimator to work but rather keep Bitcoin Core running for a while before you send.
Thanks, this works good in my Windows version and I see that it actually defaulted to "Estimated to begin confirmation within 25 block(s). I see -txconfirmtarget=<n> If paytxfee is not set, include enough fee so transactions begin confirmation on average within n blocks (default: 2) actually have default of 25?

Hello, I'm running Bitcoin Core but having the problems that it puts a low fee (~0.0001) and it takes hours to confirm. Seems like my (several years) old config file doesn't handle fees anymore.
What should I set in the config in order to make it send with transaction fees that are suitable as of 2017 and want to confirm within a couple of blocks? (seems like -txconfirmtarget=<n> If paytxfee is not set, include enough fee so transactions begin confirmation on average within n blocks (default: 2) is not working very well.)
edit: I put 2017 in the title so that people like me that Google this will find this thread!

I haven't used this site for a while - in the past I invested fairly heavily with up to 10 BTC on the house, and enjoyed some nice returns - However then I started to experience a few problems - for a while I was unable to log in and make withdrawals. This was resolved but it put me off investing anything other than very small amounts. Thinking of giving it a go again - can anyone verify that it is still working reliably, i.e users are reliably able to make withdrawals, and payouts on investment are working as they should?
You are not the first individual to have issues with this site. I don't know why you are replying in this thread because there is one which is more current and has much more replies its located at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77870.0Apparently there are many issues with the site, especially the hot wallet which is almost always empty and lately the site seems offline more than online. At the moment would be best not to make any new deposits and wait patiently for the hot wallet to refill so you can make your withdraw. Nice Christmas Spirit to DDoS and put the site down in the holidays. Was happy when I could finally login again and coins still available but I withdrew just to be safe.

Guys, I want an escrow script (similar to localbitcoins). Where can I find such a script?
It's not that hard to code. You need a LAMP server and bitcoind running. And then keep track of users' balances in the database, and handle cash outs with RPC calls.

It's now possible to login normally and the hotwallet has also been replenished.
Thanks for fixing that Randian Hero, I can confirm that I can now log in. Cheers! I'll transfer some funds back if the site is more stable over the next couple of weeks. After going through the hassle of creating a Bitcointalk account over VPN (and pay for it to work lol) I can also confirm that my problem was also fixed... I was just about to start fillling the forums with scam warnings. But I think they just have some server problems.
