61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for Beginners? on: January 26, 2020, 12:26:07 PM
My question to everyone here is: What are the DOs and DONTs of bitcoin trading? Also any other advice for a beginner would be helpful. I'm new to this site, so i'm sorry if there is already a thread posted about this. Also, what are the best sites to use for trading through experience?[/size]
I think Bitcoin trading is easy if your a believer. any time it dips go 2x-4x long. As long as you wait long enough you will never mage a losing trade. Bitcoin is easy if you don't cut your losses. We will be at another ATH within months. As long as you don't sell none of your trades will be bad. But essentially go 2x-4x long on the dips and sell on the spikes. If you miss the sell point don't worry. It will spike back up again later.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors? on: January 26, 2020, 12:10:23 PM
Do not take any one's advice on one or more specific crypto's. Always Do your own research and make your own conclusion, and as always, do not invest more into crypto than you are willing to totally write off. Then, should you decide to invest, be prepared for wild price swings both to the upside and downside, and be prepared to wait several years for good returns. Finally, understand the importance of holding your own private keys inside a hardware wallet such as a Ledger or Trezor.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elliott Wave... RSI... MACD ... How much should i rely on them to see BTC move? on: January 26, 2020, 11:21:50 AM
The problem with Elliot wave is too much guesswork, show a chart to 5 Elliot wave analyzer and you get 5 different wave counts. Also, I've looked enough charts that Elliot wave seem to exist in the market. but it's hard to make money out of it because you don't know which part of the wave you are. but with benefit of hindsight, it's easy to claim "here, it works". hence There is no wave pattern that can predict future market moves. Especially in an unregulated field like cryptocurrency.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Can A Trader in this Business Protect Themselves Against Volatility Risk? on: January 26, 2020, 11:07:58 AM
This is an issue with crypto in general at the moment. Because of the speculation and the lack of mass adoption we still have a lot of upside potential. I’d imagine we’re at least 5 years maybe even ten years away from stability. However, exposing 100% equity in market is too risky and it is going to alter your daily life due to the fear of losing money. Market is always volatile, most important fact about keeping your nerves is invest small percentage of your savings in market with a good ratio portfolio with different coins like Bitcoin, ETH, Litecoin and more stable coins like Doge.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Full time trading is boring on: January 25, 2020, 03:33:06 PM
It's a fun life, if you make it fun. Personally, I don't trade full time. but I could do so if I really wanted to, and have fun with that, without it really impacting my standard of living. I agree with you, technical analysis may be boring when nothing happens, but otherwise it is still as exciting as it was 10 years ago when I started out. the one piece of advice I can give you is to not consider trading full time until you have a consistently profitable strategy that's proven itself over a significant sample size.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alts instead of Bitcoin for far greater returns (or losses) on: January 25, 2020, 03:12:15 PM
Over 90 percent of Altcoins are scam or useless. anyone else who tells you differently is a fool. Maybe some of them actually have good intentions and one day if some of them prove to be legit, but until then. This is a game in which the goal is to accumulate as many Bitcoin as possible. You're allowed to use fiat directly but you can also buy altcoins, pump them and sell them for Bitcoin before the 3rd Halvening. I am sure, in the end, only Bitcoin will be valuable.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum About to Break Out of a 2-Year Bear Market? on: January 25, 2020, 03:01:55 PM
The price will continue to rise between now and the bitcoin halvening event in May. Don't know if we will hit ATH during this time but it can be the foundation to do so. also, I think we can still have another speculative bubble based on ETH 2.0 progress, ETF news, etc. Now this isn't advice to do anything with your money but I think that this year there was a lot bigger tax burden on everyone as well as exchanges and we will start to see a recovery in the coming months. Hopefully, ETH can get some good press when the uptrend starts and we will be headed back to our ATH.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Charts] Altcoin Dominance Looking Bullish with Cyrpto Market About To Bullcross on: January 25, 2020, 02:56:16 PM
Bitcoin will continue to dominate markets, in large part because of it's relatively widespread acceptance when compared to even the most well-known of alt-coins. What's safe is to indeed sell 80-90 percent or more of your altcoins to Bitcoin and wait until 2021. Bitcoin should definitely have it's second rally after the halving in May. Altcoins will continue to bleed. In this year and 2021 most altcoins will be dead. Future of each coin is rely on the scope and type project behind it.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance price prediction for 2020 on: January 25, 2020, 09:55:13 AM
The BNB is used to cover the commission fee which is popular amongst all Binance trading bots who aim to minimum margin and high trading volume. It is a definitely a coin that has value and used within the exchange, It might be a good time to buy some BNB just because the overall trend is looking good. And it totally depends on the stuff you are currently holding. If you have a lot of money so you can afford taking risk, it is a way to go for sure. The might have a pretty decent price growth in the near future to $25.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: January 24, 2020, 12:04:32 PM
I just read this article and it really startled me. Seems "the big boys" are not betting on the crypto horse and would hope to see it die out.
Guess that is no news but when social media platforms are applying this type of censorship it crosses some limits in my book.
https://news.bitcoin.com/speculation-abounds-regarding-youtubes-removal-of-crypto-content/
Is this the beginning for a new crypto exclusive youtube clone?
No one, no individual and no power or government can control, manipulate, ban, hack or kill a worldwide distributed open-source peer-to-peer cryptographically secured decentralised system. Bitcoins will continue to increase in value, more than gold and silver, there will only be 21 million bitcoins ever, they are cryptographically and mathematically secured, it is decentralized, so can't be banned, co-opted or confiscated/stolen by any central group or government, you hold your own private keys. The future economy is digital and decentralized.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my two Bitcoins (just for example) if I lose my security key? on: January 24, 2020, 11:49:04 AM
To crack a private key, whether you lost it or want to try to solve it, would take billions of years with current super computing power. unless there are incredible improvements in quantum computing in the near future, it's not going to happen. so if you lost your private key, the coins are lost forever. That’s a possible downside to bitcoin. People have to take responsibility and act as their own banks in this way. Keeping the recover phrase and private key safe is super important, and it is frightening to know some people can’t handle that.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is the World’s Best Performing Asset Class on: January 24, 2020, 11:33:25 AM
Actually, if we have another recession in 2020 or 2021, I think cryptocurrencies might go up a lot. not because the so-called mythical creature 'institutional investor' but because people from third world countries would try as hard as they can to move their money to outside their failing local banking system. and their best chance is with cryptocurrency.
73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4years Cylce by Bob lukas on: January 24, 2020, 11:04:43 AM
In general idea, the next halvening is already priced in, But I would to say, If the 3rd halvening is already priced in, I am sure the 4th and 5th isn't priced in yet. So buy and HODL strong. nothing can stop bitcoin from another bull run. However, by Assuming we follow the same cycle then we should expect about a year of slow but steady growth, therefore bitcoin would double in this year, with the more explosive run happening approximately in next year. There's still a lot of large players in the crypto game and they aren't going to sit on the sidelines to watching bitcoin into these low prices definitely.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is stopping the US Government from outright BANNING Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2020, 10:51:19 AM
Nothing prevents any government from making anything illegal. If something could prevent government, then that thing would be the new government. however I hope that rational self-interest by certain interested parties in the government would prevail. The first realization is that the country the bans it would fall behind Fintech development. Then there may be a migration of Crypto related wealth to countries which are Crypto-friendly. In the long run, the Crypto-friendly nations would become rich, and the banners would be left biting the dust.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Air, Water, Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 11:24:50 AM
Without air and water life no worka.
P2P commerce is also essential.
Past human history is checkered with currency manipulation and conflict..
Enter a new element for humanity; trustless p2p currency, globally decentralized...
Something humanity has been craving since the dawn of human history.
 Cool
Bitcoin has become valuable over the years, because it was useful in commerce, a peer to peer electronic cash. Now that bitcoin isn't as useful in commerce, and is losing it's utility as money or currency, bitcoin proponents shifted the focus from P2P electronic cash to P2P electronic store of value. therefore bitcoin is a store of value and that it is for HODLing. In my opinion If bitcoin had value because it was useful in commerce, now this usefulness has been removed, but nothing changes. Bitcoin basically has value because it has Intrinsic value, Maybe because for technology behind it.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sigh... Do i need to hold and sell it later or now? Quite tricky situation. on: January 23, 2020, 11:05:57 AM
I am holding about 1.2 BTC now
But I need a money until Feb 22nd.
Should i hold until Feb 21nd and sell it? or Sell it now?!!
What do you guys anticipate in BTC price until next month?
As long as price remains well below $8,450-$8,500 you can consider more falling. The next bearish objective for sellers is set at $8,000 a bearish break of this support would revive the bearish momentum. The sellers could then target the support located at $7,600 If there is any crossing, the next objective would be the support located at $7,200-$7,300. over 60 percent of the signals given by moving averages are bearish. From the total of 13 technical indicators the five of them considered buy, seven sell and one neutral. However, holding bitcoin has been profitable for 99% of It's existence. Instead of selling, find another way to solve your financial need.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nice Increase in Price but What Next?? on: January 23, 2020, 10:51:19 AM
We have all seen it before.. A nice pump here and there and then BOOM a big DUMP.. It's almost disheartening really but still.. What will come next of this little rise? Will it hold true and keep its position or will it come crashing down again and again. In my opinion i believe that Bitcoin would have to reach an over  10,000 usd mark to see a "bigger" style of a bull run. For now it's just going back and forth in a 6-8k range. None the less my friends only time will tell but until then what are some of your thoughts? As usual your thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks again.
Since many of us are not sure in which market we have to trade, bullish or bearish, I want to offer a technical analysis based on a very simple but powerful trend following indicator. It is Ichimoku indicator where we can get a simple signal about the market direction. If the price is below the cloud, we have a bearish trend. If the price is above the cloud, we have a bullish trend . Just apply this indicator to 1D time frame, as you can see, in the daily chart we have a bullish trend. It means that we should search for buy opportunities in order to join the uptrend.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fraud victim,75, loses £11k in life savings! Secure your BTC just now! on: January 23, 2020, 10:34:48 AM
In my earlier crypto days I did the same thing. Was so embarrassing, felt so stupid immediately after I fell for it. I'm a very computer savvy, but greed overrode my sense of "this is a scam". I sent like 1.5 BTC to the scammer though. This was back when BTC was around $750, so it was less USD-wise, but it sure would be nice to have that 1.5 BTC, plus all the forks, now. Honestly, I learned a lot that day, and I'm sure we learned a lot today. stay vigilant out here. Everyone makes dumb mistakes in Crypto, it's all part of the learning experience.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 10:23:06 AM
Yes, bitcoin is the only currency can Fulfill the world's financial needs. Volatility will decrease over time as the market matures. Market maturing meaning the price will be many times what it is today as user adoption grows exponentially over the next 10 years. Lightning Network will be used for daily payments and will be used like Android Pay and Apple Pay are used today. It will probably take a decade from say 2020 to 2030 for usage of Bitcoin as a payment medium to become a pretty mainstream thing.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Plunged $700 Upon Reaching $9,060, Correction or Reason To Panic? on: January 22, 2020, 11:48:00 AM
It's normal movement for a high volatility market. Bitcoin is purchased, stored or sold based on several factors, most of them are emotionally based variables, news reports, articles, forward thinking statements, whale activities and sentiments etc. It's still an unregulated person-to-person Market. all unregulated markets fluctuate wildly. regulation will provide an environment for stability, also the price of any currency will fluctuate unless the services and goods are pegged to it.
