The Lisk Team has only linked the ICO wallet with ByteBall. Nothing bought or anything else...
Waves and Komodo have done the same, every user can do this with his BTC Wallet. Gembitz can do this.

If you think those who are now delegates became that way by accident or luck, you are very wrong. It was and is a lot of hard work, investing a great amount of time and not a small amount of money into the endeavour.
