21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is HitBTC trustworthy/reliable/quick exchange? on: March 29, 2018, 04:43:55 PM
All the other ones are closed to newcomers.
It is legit, reliable and quick. But it is shady at the same time. Searching for "HITBTC faking volume" on google, and you will get some insights. The bottom line is that don't leave all your coins on HITBTC.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good idea to get involved in Waves on: March 29, 2018, 04:42:21 PM
I like Waves! Is it a good idea to buy some coins?
Not a good idea. You should diversify a little bit. Moreover, you should compare Waves to its competitors before you decide to hodl it.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: March 29, 2018, 04:39:58 PM
Disclaimer: The text below is a personal opinion of the author. If you have a different opinion, please share it

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.
I don't think so. I think ICO is the first killer app of the blockchain field. Even though 95% or maybe 99% of ICOs are either soft or hard scams, ICO does bring a new model into crowdfunding.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a US Citizen & participating in ico's? on: March 29, 2018, 04:38:07 PM
I know some people are doing it
I just don't know how.
Can you provide me some insight?
You can do it by participating ICO private pools. They will get the allocation from the teams and you just need to trust them, which could be a big problem.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN Weakness: Value based against BTC and not Dollar or Euro ? on: March 29, 2018, 04:36:57 PM
In the bear market, people would like to selll their altcoins in the fear of altcoins will dip faster. When they sell altcoins, it is easy for them to sell altcoins for BTC.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: March 29, 2018, 04:34:53 PM
Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

If there is one, it is Hashgraph. However, Hashgraph decides to support Ethereum Virtual Machine. That means, they are on the same boat in some sense.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEX - NEO based token for decentralized exchange :o on: March 29, 2018, 03:39:12 PM
This the ICO basically everyone is waiting for. The problem with this ICO is you are probably not able to take part in it. Only if you are lucky to win the lottery, you can invest in it.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What am I to do? on: March 29, 2018, 03:33:05 PM
Now all the markets are crashing down and I don't know what to do with my altcoins. My briefcase fell 30% in a couple of days. I'm afraid I might lose more. Selling or hodl?
At least hodl, buy if you still have fiat (the money you can lose, of course). Everybody is down by at least 30%. Panic selling is definitely a bad choice in the bear market.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH back to the price ~ $ 300 on: March 29, 2018, 03:30:15 PM
ETH is falling very strong compared to its $ 12xx early this year, will you buy it now?
Yes. It is steal to buy on this level. I am buying ETH on every dip recently. It makes my cost of ETH down a lot compared to previous highs.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with ETH on: March 29, 2018, 03:28:56 PM
Can anybody tell me what happen with eth now?Huh
The ICO fomo period ended, so the demand for ETH is lower than before. And there are a lot of "promising" blockchain 3.0, 4.0 x.0 projects buzzing around, lol.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: March 29, 2018, 03:26:50 PM
Newbie here... I've been thinking about buying my first crypto. I think I want to buy ETH, but wondering if I missed the boat already?

Primarily I'm choosing ETH because I think there are less foreseeable limitations than BTC, and it seems like ETH is basically accepted everywhere BTC is. Plus its cheaper  Grin

Is now a good time to buy it? Should I wait?
I think you should buy ETH because it is highly oversold. Even we forget about all the strong fundamentals of ETH, it is still a good buy in terms of TA.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: March 29, 2018, 03:25:25 PM

Are you surprised at the price of ETH? what is the reason?
I am surprised about the price of ETH. But I can understand why ETH can go so low compared to the previous high. I still believe ETH will dethrone BTC in future. Its eco system is just better.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin are scam nowadays on: March 15, 2018, 03:10:35 PM
Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies,  I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...
You made some real great choices in terms of investing. You are right. A lot of "bullshit" tokens are pumped to the "moon" nowadays. They don't fall in value immediately in the bear market, but they will fall eventually.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market status on: March 15, 2018, 03:02:45 PM
Hey guys! I'm sure everyone's noticing the drop in the cryptomarket. Is there any particular reason for this? Is the bubble actually popping. I've heard that supply and demand, selling more than buying are like the main reasons for the market to drop. Even google announced that they ll be banning the ICO and crypto related ads.
What do you guys feel about the whole scenario right now?

Bads new are just catalysts. The main reason is that people think they are not be able to make easy money out of this market any more lately.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: G20 Summit 2018 on: March 15, 2018, 02:59:05 PM
Today G20 meeting has started in Buenos Aires..
As we all know, current awfull dump of our beloved market is partially due to uncertain expectations from G20 summit..
World`s most powerfull but regressive bodies will have it`s say in these days, even about our crypto world, having it`s influence..

https://www.g20.org/en/calendar
Here is the calendar of the events..

What type and how huge effect will it have on our portfolios guys?
Regulations are never a bad thing, in my opinion. The crypto world needs regulations to mature. However, the market does not like regulations overall.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is KNC dead? on: March 15, 2018, 02:56:54 PM
Okay so yea the last drop could be explained by BNB announcing their own DEX.

But the coin has been dropping for like...... ever....

Even when their mainnet pilot was launched it went down....

What am I missing?

Thanks folks!
I don't think KNC is dead. Its price is dropping mainly because the market is down recently (the bear market, you may say). I do believe KNC will have a bright future.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest profit from an AirDrop? on: March 14, 2018, 08:23:34 PM
If I have a few mins to kill during the day (usually when waiting for ETH/BTC to hit the exchanges from my wallet) Ill sign up for an airdrop or two. Most of the ones that I have either haven't hit exchanges or are worth under $1.

TRON (TRX) was the first one for me that actually did something.

500 free TRX peaked at ~$30 and is currently worth ~$19

HODLing!
I remember that I read a thread in this subforum in last year, saying that a guy became a millionaire by taking part in Decred airdrop and holding the tokens airdropped until Decred went to moon.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hashgraph is mind blowing!🤔🤔🤔 on: March 14, 2018, 08:20:47 PM
I think nano and byteball have it covered

let's be honest though for an in depth analysis and objective educated opinion that rules out what 99.999999 % of the board that will come here to spam their blockchain alternative.

in the end when all have been weighed in the balance we will be back to bitcoin

Based on my observation, hashgraph is not just another altcoin. If you check the video out, you will find that their software and legal team are high-profile.

Hedera Hashgraph is really mind blowing! https://www.hederahashgraph.com/ - make your own research!
This project is a unicorn, really wanna take part in their ICO (but i think all coin would be sould on private sales Cry )

Agree. Right now, you can register interest on their website, but I heard that you need to have accredited investor status to be able to buy H tokens in presale.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to BAN crypto advertising-includes Youtube on: March 14, 2018, 07:42:31 PM
www.bitcoinfuji.com says

Just read about it here:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/14/technology/google-bitcoin-advertising.html

This means all those crypto youtube channels will have to shutdown: unbelievable

This is not necessarily a bad news, since some of my friends have lost all their Ethers and altcoins due to clicking the phishing sites promoted by the all-mighty Google.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hashgraph is mind blowing!🤔🤔🤔 on: March 14, 2018, 07:39:03 PM
I think that the best technology at the moment is the IOTA direct acyclic graph that provides a great network capacity without compromising safety and has low fees.
I think IOTA's tech is innovative. I haven't follow the recent development of IOTA lately, though. Hashgraph seems to build its consensus mechanism based on DAG as well.

Hashgraph is still in early stages as you mentioned IOTA, for instance there they have a problem called 33% attack if I remember well and to stop this developers have included some coordinator how they call it which is basically a server through which they control the whole network as everything has to pass through them. Although hasgraph is really interesting this because it could really end the scaling debate forever because they use different data structure than blockchain and I strongly believe this is the future we must head to and go and opt for.
The blockchain industry or you may say distributed ledger industry will be more and more interesting in the following years. Hopefully more and more talented people like Vitalik will jump on stage to make a difference.
